Fantastic trip - well organized, wonderful boat and great support.
What a wonderful adventure we went had and what an exceptional part of the world you guy have up there in the Whitsundays. Everything was beyond our expectations, and we had high expectations as we have tried most of the charter companies in the Whitsunday, Caribbean and the Mediterranean.
There were 6 of us onboard, 2 being children and we found the catamaran Southern Man well equipped and totally safe. There was more than enough room for us, and we loved the layout. The uptop galley was great with ample fridge and freezer space.
Mark looked after us from the get go, picking us up at the airport and hiring us his van to get supplies. He covered everything in his briefing and communicated daily to answer any questions.
I would not hesitate to recommend the guys from Portland Roads as it was totally professional from the beginning to the end.

We just had 5 nights on Southern Man (late March) and the trip was beyond our expectations, the catamaran was so well equiped and roomy for the 4 of us. Mark is very approachable and was a great help pre and post charter. Would highly recommend Southern Man for a very comfortable and affordable whitsundays holiday.

Had the absolute best time sailing the Whitsundays on the beautiful Portland Roads. Amazing boat, incredible sailing and an overall wonderful experience. As a first timer I was initially quite nervous, however with the continuous support from mike and the rest of the team I knew I was in good hands. 100% reccomend this amazing holiday to all, regardless of previous experience.
Loved it, Loved it, Loved it - We were feeling a bit nervous about doing a holiday like this, until we stepped aboard - mike made us feel at home, he gave us a thorough briefing and the confidence to take these beautiful boats out on the ocean. We were a bit embarrassed that we had not read our pre-charter notes, but quickly got into the groove. There was a nice touch when mike mentioned the local indigenous people of the area and some of the places to visit - we spoke with him daily (thank's for your patience mike). Everything about this holiday blew us away. We gave it little thought before we arrived, but now can't stop thinking or talking about it. What a blast. Portland Roads; we will be back!

Had an amazing time sailing the whitsundays on the catamaran Southern Man. There were 8 of us on board plenty of room comfortable and a easy yacht to sail. Thoroughly recomend it.
We have recently returned from an amazing trip on "***". Thank you to *** for being fantastic at our briefing and for planning our trip with plenty of tips and sights to enjoy along the way. "***" was incredibly comfortable for 7 people with plenty of room to move and the facilities were excellent. A great family holiday with memories and photos that we will cherish forever. Barefoot on a 380 catamaran has changed my view of life. Given voice to those little cliches... like time and tide waits for no one.
Watching sea eagle and osprey tussle over a caught fish, the moon dance between clouds, sleep under the stars on the front trampoline until the patter of misty rain draws you inside and feeling the wind pulling you through the waves is quite exhilarating. Put a family on a boat and see the opportunities wake like from a dream... who thought going out on a 380 cat could stimulate the imagination so vividly.

In short, we give you one of our million-dollar boats;
You’ll grab up to 8 family and friends to join you (loosely called your crew).
Then for as little as $199 per person, per sailing day, you will become the skipper and sail the Ngaro Waters and Islands of the Whitsundays (74 islands, but who’s counting?)
For 6 days / 5 Nights you will live in and on the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef.
You will slip into Whitsundays time where your week with us will feel more like the most relaxing month of your life. You will live aboard one of our Lagoon Sailing Catamarans, sipping bubbles at sunset and cooking up a storm in the galley.
