The Plumbingforce chap Gareth Cole called to repair a back boiler. He laid in front of the installation reading the manual on his electronic device fir 15 minutes and came up with several possible reasons for the pilot not firing.
In the interim that I left to make tea for his accomplice he claimed to have found a gas leak which he demonstrated by turning a valve on and off. We both heard a hissing sound and could smell gas. Yet he claimed this had been going on since his arrival. If it had; why was he not alarmed when I offered to make tea for his side kick. That would be turning on an electric device in a house with a gas leak.
He tampered with the installation so the company could charge me £300.
Their after sales manager perpetuates the same lie as a basis for charging me and try to sell me a replacement installation. They claim parts for my boiler are unavailable. All a lie as my boiler has been repaired by a competent engineer.
Avoid this company. They have no conscience.
Absolute jokers and scammers. I'd avoid at all costs if I could. Sadly now I can't, and I'm £2000 worse off for a job that should have cost £400. I'm gutted, mortified, embarrassed that I fell for it, but mostly heartbroken that this has happened just before christmas and my children are now going to have a very different Christmas to the one we hoped. I feel such an idiot. PLEEEASE DONT USE THEM! It's too late for me, but run if you can!
RIP off company, stay away. What the quote against invoice you will be un-presently surprised as I was. They ever charge you for assessing other gas appliances in your house including boiler and charge you for their time, when it has nothing to do with what they are supposed to fit. You have seen them on rogue traders.
AWFUL! Booked in for boiler service. Instead, plumber decomissioned boiler, saying it was unsafe because there was a tiny amount of rust on top. Boiler had plenty of life in it. Was in fine condition and sound for 20 years. You could not poke a hole in it - he was lying. He ripped up the kitchen boxing surrounding the gas pipe in order to cut it without due care. He left the property without any hot water or heating after checking thermostatic element on the tank was "faulty". However, when another plumber came to quote for the boiler replacement, this plumber said the thermostatic element was absolutely fine and just needed to be reset. Plumbing force guy also incorrectly advised that refilling the air gap in tank requires replacement of temperature / pressure relief valve when it doesn't. Overall, the service was unprofessional, uncourteous and cold, with an eye on alarming customers into paying thousands more for work that is not necessary. Found a local based plumber who quoted half of what plumbing force quoted to replace boiler and much more knowleadgable and polite.
Quick response to setting up appointment. Engineer arrived to plan and made every effort to fix the boiler successfully. Would definitely use them again.
My advice is to avoid this company like the plague, a gas fitter visited my house to fit a gas fire who appeared polite and friendly, he then viewed the fireplace and informed me there was a cavity in the wall and needed filling before the gas fire could be fitted, after ten minutes he left, when leaving I queried the cost and he informs me he would "sort it out in the van' 10 mins later I checked my telephone banking and £180 had been debited out of my account, I honestly believe I have been scammed, £180 for looking at a hole in the wall, I don't know how these people can look in the mirror in the morning don't they have a conscience? Disgraceful
This company turned up and completed the work in less than 1 hour, the engineer left and sat in their van until it had been 1 hour 13 minutes since arrival. They have now charged me (£80) for this time sat outside doing nothing!
When challenged they showed me a signature that isn't even mine saying that confirmed I 'accepted' that as the departure time. When you complain you get a faceless email with no names.

We had been advised by SGM that we needed a piece of pipe replaced asap. This engineer said it was a straight forward replacement which it was. We booked an Plumbing force engineer via the phone and were assured that the engineer would be able to complete the work at his visit. However when he arrived he said the work was very complicated and he would not be able to do it at this visit but instead would give us a quote. We were therefore very disappointed when we were charged a call out fee for just a quotation.
The plumber said wrong materials which is not and ran off when we are trying to discuss how it should work together with the bidet company who supplied the materials and willing to walk him through on how to do it since obviously he don't know.
He keeps on walking out during conversation walking back and forth on our street very anxious for no reason.
He don't listen, He just keep saying same words and saying we don't understand. Him acting strange, very red and anxious, really scared us and thinking the staff they sent us make us uneasy and scared.
For your information on that same day we had a new plumber from another reliable company and said it is doable and started the job right away.
Technically, he just don't want to do it and just charged us for coming? Appalling and unprofessional.
I am awaiting for the refund the £118.80 that was charged for sending us someone just to say he can't do it.
As of now no one is getting back at me for the investigation but very quick on getting the money for payment.

Called them for an emergency leak (so I had turned the water off). They said it would be no problem and I would have someone round between 1-5pm. Then by 4pm I ring them as no one has come and they say that they have to cancel. This now means I'm paying an extra out of hours charge for a different emergency plumber, who I could have contacted earlier in the day. Do not recommend.
Attempted to convince us that we needed an £1800 replacement immersion heather and pump but when we refused he miraculously was able to fix it with parts costing £140! Company then overcharged me £540 with an unitemised invoice. As another reviewer has stated, you are required to give credit card details when you book the job leaving them free to steal from you. Would not use again under any circumstances.

I've used plumbing force a few time now, and they're always super lovely, knowledgeable, professional, and competitively priced. No complaints at all, would really recommend, and use again if needed. Left the place clear and tidy too, which was a bonus.

Although they were later than they'd told me due to another job over running they communicated with me and kept me updated. Plumber who came was friendly and got on with the job. Kept me informed of what he was finding and what he was doing. Overall very satisfied with the job so far.
Answer: I have also had the misfortune of dealing with her. Possible she has a borderline personality disorder of some type,,, but whatever, she should never be in a front facing position dealing with customers. In any company. Disaster.
