I asked to cancel membership 3 months I a row they said I had to do it in person I was unable due to stroke. They refused to help, then charged me 3 months I asked for refund due to financial hardship Refused! Spoke with Lead and Manager. I closed all my credit cards and bank accounts.

Brainwashed

Every time I go to use the massage chairs the station is set to Newsmax there is no remote in here to turn the crap off or to change the channel and I'm forced to watch a news channel that I find highly repulsive. For those reason I would never recommend this place for anyone

Over charge without knowing

I joined the club on may 28th, 2022. The girl who was explaining to me all the benefits and charges never told me I have to pay for down payment for joining the club. She only explained to me the annually membership $39.99 and a monthly payment of $10.00. I noticed a charge on my bank account of $38.53 on May 28th 2022, a monthly charge of $10.00 o July 17th 2022, and a membership $39.99 on July 1st, so I called to the planet fitness to find out about the $38.53 charge on May and the girl on the phone told me that it was a down payment charge I never was told I have to give a down payment to join the gym. But what I just didn't like when she told me that down payment is variable some months is $1 others would be $38.53 or more or it can be less. I would really have appreciated it if this down payment was explained at the first day when I joined the gym. Very disappointed on the down payment charge. I guess that day I didn't have enough luck to pay a less down payment She told me that ‍‍‍Still processing that information.

Unprofessional staff, women staff very rude, uneducated, manage not trained staff very well, treat customers so bad, poor management, I got membership over 10 years but this time very disappointed, I will stop membership and never happy come in there workouts any more, recommend some one go other gym, no more planet fitness

Just shut up

I cannot stand when people do nothing but complain about a gym. Every gym has issues. I belong to many and if you're a real gym rat, stop complaining and just workout. Over the years I've been in all kinds including the dark and dirty hole in the wall ones. If you want perfect, then open your wallets and join the Newtown County club. Otherwise, just shut up and workout

The planet fitness in Lebanon PA has the worst costumer service. I was paying for a bottle and accidentally drop my card they didn't want it to give it back until I have them my drivers license which I didn't have it on me at the time. They have my picture my information and my card on file but still didn't want it to give it back they gave me a nasty attitude also they were laughing at me. Worst place ever won't be coming here any more. I don't recommend this place to anyone and I'm giving one star because I couldn't choose none. They should train their employees more efficiently so they can have better costumer service since they have that job because of the us the people that go to their location.

I went into Planet Fitness and the guy said i can't sign you up you have to go on line, well i am pretty good on a computer but once i put my credit card in it would not proceed and every part was filled out. This is to fustrating that i could not go in and pay.

The Manger at plante fitness in Newark NJ on Broad Street in Newark New Jersey. Approached me Miss Purcell who is a black card member about questioning why a man was in the locker room and a female locker room on to 2022. I questioned one of his employees why a man was carrying a woman in locker room. The employee said the lady fell outside across the street and broke her leg and she has to go to the bathroom. I just said be careful oh, because these people are not members of Planet Fitness. And a man is not supposed to be in the locker room number two ComEd number three if anything happens to them down there they'll be liable. And I said that because I'm a member trying to change my clothes and I had to wait for this man and this woman who wasn't even a member. JB the manager came approached me and said I was being rude to his employee. I dare him approach me in any kind of manner when I am a member and the persons and the man that was in the female locker room was not.

Amazing experience at The Dawsonville Planet Fitness. The manager, Noel was very personable and helpful. Staff was super helpful. Facilities were clean and state of the Art. Will definitely join.

Planet fitness in Kingston NY refused to refund future year membership to my dead husband because they bill Dec. 1 previous year. They collected unused fees for 3 years and that just wasn't enough for them. Poor business.

I canceled my membership in March, 2021. I just found out they charged me a new membership fee without my consent in August, 2021 along with charging me monthly dues each month since August, 2021 so they charged me a new membership and monthly fee in August along with $21.99 each month after. They claim I was on a freeze. If thats the case, why did they charge me for a new membership in 8/21? Be careful! They don't accept credit cards, only auto payment from your bank account which is a red flag. They refuse to refund my money. I now need to close my bank account because I don't trust that they will stop deducting monthly payments. Unfair business practice as you need to cancel in person. I checked the internet and it says that Planet Fitness does not accept cancelations over the phone or email. Very difficult to go in person during pandemic! I now need to drive 30 miles to ensure my account is canceled this time. Unethical company!

I cancelled my membership at some other gym, only because PlanetFitness was open 24h every day, i knew i dont have to worry the gym will be closed at 7pm- and here we are - they changed planetFitness hours and it's closed at 7pm on weekends! Really? Why? If you cut hours on half- i should pay half for membership!

@ planet fitness; Ur Bank process errors R ur mistakes! I won't renew EVER. Horribly mistaken! Then they stalk you on the floor- so childish… Your team should clean the gym that pays PFWorkers- staff is too busy talking at the front desk and charge members accounts if your not wearing a mask! PF should not charge for masks - they should be provided just like every other agency where it's free… so dissatisfied with this new facility.

BEWARE of the fine print!

So there ads sound amazing, right! Only $10/month BUT if you have to cancel, OMG... you have to either go in person, which I am unable to do at the present, OR send in a certified letter! You gotta be kidding me right? I spoke to the club, and when he said that, I told him I was unable to come in, and he said the only other way was to send a certified letter... That was it, couldn't do it over the phone or online... BEWARE, if they were a stand up gym they would not have this ludicrous rule!

Outstanding Club
October 4, 2021

I've been a "gym rat" for 20+ years. I call it my "happy place" When Covid hit and the clubs were closed I was beyond upset. I had been a member of another gym that was close. Planet opened before my other gym so I started there. I have to say I won't go back to my old gym. The front desk & staff are friendly calling you by name, the machines are always cleaned throughout the day and I never have a problem getting on my favorite machines. I've gotten to know some regulars there and some of the people from my old gym have switched as well. Not to mention it is very affordable.

It's a shame how you are judged at the Farragut, TN location. At this rate they will not last. Why is Planet Fitness NOT a part of the BBB?!? How is it they are in dire straits when they consistently scam your direct bank account?! Drug problems maybe?!? I have been a member for about 6 yrs & I'm a caucasian female who is dead $#*! over the racists at this local. The manager "Ruth" shouldn't have a job working for people. If she where a police officer I would have SERIOUS CONCERNS FOR THE PUBLIC because my son is mixed race & SHE IS THE TYPE OF RACIST WITH A BADGE & A GUN WHO KILLS. I have since changed locals for safety. WOW! Desired outcome would be INCLUSIVE! And someone, ANYONE please check her out.
