Today was my first time ordering from Pet care rd. I was very happy to see that they were both knowledgeable and efficient. I was very satisfied and plan on using them in the future.
I ordered over $100 worth of pet food. I received an email offering a better discount, stating they could not reach me by phone. I called but the person who sent the email wasn't available. I was told that since my order totaled more than $100 I was eligible for a free one year membership, and they needed a card on file, I was assured that my card would not be charged until next year at the renewal rate. I woke up to a $48 charge. They had no record of who I spoke with that promised the membership, and claimed that the person who sent me the email was the one who offered the membership at a discount, not free. I cancelled the membership that was supposed to be free, and cancelled my order. I can't do business with a company that charges my card at whim, or doesn't tell me beforehand exactly what they are charging and why.
I ordered meds on this site on a Wednesday all they had to do is call the vet and get the prescription I even ask them to call as soon as they could because it told them how important this was and how bad my dog needed this medicine. They assured me that it would be here the next day but that never happened so when I called this morning they proceeded through to tell me I would not get it until Monday I was in shock I could not believe I paid for a service and they proceed to tell me that is how it works for the NDA. I am like why would I pay for that and it not come in time. They rep was like well that's how it works. I am livid she offered nothing not any help or we could Reimbursed you she said nothing but sorry. I don't need ur sorry I need to have this medicine my dog is very very sick and this antibiotic is all that will help him get better. Your company is horrible on delivery and you basically lied! You changed me for a service that never happened! I am going to tell everyone on any social media to not buy from you because you will not get what you ordered on time. I am here to tell anyone that this company is a JOKE! They charge you and keep your money for a service they don't even do. Please anyone do NOT buy from this company if you are in a hurry for meds because you will not get THEM! THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE
01/07/2022 I ordered 6 cases of wet cat food from PetcareRX, they mailed 5 cases in one package, and 1 case in another shipment.The single case, came on 01/21/2022 was visibly damaged, one of the cans was so damaged it had cat food coming out, 8 cans had visible dents and the seals were compromised on the other 4 cans, air got inside the can.Its clear the cans had a hard impact. I then called Petcarerx and spoke with the supervisor. I provided photos and exactly what I discovered. The supervisor assured me I was getting a full replacement case shipped and an email about the new shipment in a couple days.It never happened, I wrote an email to them, but I was never answered. I had to call on 01/26/22, I spoke with another supervisor, I was told that the case was not being shipped and they will only refund me $13.00 claiming the photos did not show the peel top cans had unsealed, that they would only refund the visible damage. I asked her how she wanted me to prove it and she didn't answer, I said what she was asking of me wasn't possible. I got upset for being misled and treated like a liar, she used that opportunity to gaslight me and told me she won't speak with me if I act upset. I calmly told her that deserve a full refund or replacement. She then acted condescending and said in a chipper bubbly voice " would you like that $13.00 refunded to your card?". I pointed out that if they were refunding the visibly damaged cans, 13.00 only refunded the cost of 6, and I proved 8 cans had visible damage and 4 were no longer sealed and not usable,$13.00 was not ok.The supervisor lied and replied that the case was $19.00 and more than half the cost. I have the receipt and I was charged $26.24. I could not believe the way the phone call went and the way I was being treated, it was unreasonable.The case of food was $26.24 and haven't gotten the $13.00 refund. Company engages in false advertising. Prices and discounts are one thing in your cart and final order but then they change the prices telling you they can't apply the discount or they can't send you the quantity you wanted.
My first experience was with them getting me to sign up for "petplus" for "free". I asked for how long and they said a year. I had to ask what then and they said it would renew. I had to press to find out it renews for $174! And you aren't notified unless you ask about this and find a box to check for a warning three days prior. I did place an order, paid with PayPal, then a couple days later, got two notices. They'd cancelled two of my cases of cat food, not because it wasn't in stock, but because they don't allow over two (then why let you order?). They also cancelled two of my boxes of cat litter out of 4, saying it would weigh too much. Again there was no notice of this. My item was damaged in transit, with UPS sending out the notice it was being returned, and I called for a reorder, but they wouldn't send it again without my paying until the original gets back.
Completely awful, misleading service
When I purchased the pet care plan, it did not state anything about the plan only covering 1 cat. It states "Enjoy the convenience of free shipping, (no order minimums or limits)"< Key words. So I placed a huge order and purchased the pet plan, order came up to 300 something dollars with the pet plan. I received an email your order has been shipped, but when I saw the total it showed the total items costing 577.97, I logged into my account a saw it saying the same amount 577.97. Charged, so I called and asked what's going on? The lady said, this order doesn't look like it's only for 1 cat so we didn't give you the pet care plus plan, I asked her where it stated only 1 cat, because It doesn't state it when purchasing the pet care plan, She took me to at least 3 steps to find where it stated only 1 cat. It is hidden! And you basically need to read the entire website to find it. SO they didn't contact me to let me know this, they automatically charged me more without my knowledge or approval, I agreed to the check out price I paid for, they charged my card more without letting me know and they took almost 3 weeks to deliver my items. THIEVES! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
Four stars only because it's my first visit haven't received anything as of yet. The customer service woman that assisted me today was very professional and Friendly.
Maybe the worst experience I've had with any pet provider. Very unhelpful customer service - I'd go so far as to say they were dishonest. Horrible return policies. Endless delays for products and responses. Avoid if at all possible.
We first found PetCareRx when we were unable to get the dog food we have always fed our dog Royal Canin Dental Care. I am so thrilled with their customer service, they will now be my go-to for all our dog's needs. She just got an outstanding health review from our veterinarian who recommended this food, she's a Chihuahua (notorious for bad teeth) and the vet said her teeth were in perfect health!. So happy to have this resource! Thank you!

I placed an online order for 26 soccer balls, the total amount they had. I needed one more item to get free shipping so I threw in a toy I didn't like. They automatically charged me sales tax. I sent an email informing them I am tax exempt for resale and received an answer telling me to fax or email my tax exempt form. When I received the email confirming shipping, they had only sent 3 balls and the ugly toy, yet their site showed 16 soccer balls in stock. Confused, I called the company and was informed that they do not allow their customers to buy in large quantities because they do not allow their items to be resold. I asked why I hadn't received an email informing me of their policy as how else would I know, especially considering I received the email regarding my tax exempt for resale info. I told her I only ordered the dog to get free shipping and she told me I could return it but I had to pay the shipping which would be more than I paid for the toy. When I asked to speak to a manager, she put me on hold and came back on the phone and told me the manager had confirmed what she had told me already. I repeated that I wanted to speak to a manager and she said he wasn't available. This is a horrible company to deal with. Hope you learn by my experience! VERY poor customer service. They do not know how to treat a customer. If I treated mine as such, I'd go out of business.
This is the 2nd time i ordered fancy fesst yellow fin cat food and they send me the shredded tuna fare. I cld have gotten it alot cheaper at chrwy.com. And the did not honor my coupon either.

I have a prescription on file. But for some reason, they call the vet to confirm the prescription rather than use the subscription they already have that has been verified. If the vet does not answer, the order gets placed on hold, sits in limbo and my dog runs out of meds. She needs them to stay alive. They do not bother to reach out to me to let me know the status.
In order to make sure the order gets sent off in a timely matter, I have to:
1. Place the order
2. Send an email explaining what I just explained above
3. Call their customer service number (waiting up to a half-hour to be received by an agent) to make sure they received the order. (this is because I do not receive a reply to my written message)
They have a callback number because their customer service line is understaffed. But when I have used that option, I have never received a callback.
The only reason why I am continuing with them is that they have the prescription on file and I will need to make another costly appointment with my vet to make changes to where the prescription is sent.
Since they are dealing with medications that are vital for the life of pets, they ought to be very organized. They are not.
I also paid $100 a year for "PetPlus". I see no noticeable perks other than a slight discount that does not add up to $100 for the year. Not worth the purchase.

Answer: It's trustworthy, a prescription is needed, but dealing with medications taking forever to ship, or having some type of issue with refills has been a continued problem. That is the most frustrating thing about this company.
