My first order a can broke open and their customer service agent made me send her other cans that were all dented and cover with food. Never had any of this with chewy. You sent them a picture of a broken can in the case and they overnight a replacement. Can't wait for Chewy to get my item back in stock
I have used petcarerx for a couple of years now, and have never been told I needed to have a membership for each dog. I ordered 2 simparica trios for my 4 and 10 pound dogs. My email confirmation indicates the total for my smaller dog was 112.29. Howerver, I was charged $130.09. I called twice to request a credit, where I was told they charge PER DOG. I have never had this issue in the past. The yearly membership is $99 (which I am aware of and have paid), but for each additional dog it's another $79 per dog. I asked where it states that on their site and was told it isn't indicated on their site and I have been "lucky" in the past for not being charge for my second dog. I will promptly cancel my membership once it expires. There's no cost savings - their prices are the same as other sites without any yearly fees. Even tho my email had one price, i was charged a different price. Too bad, I would have stayed with them had they not decided to charge per dog without notifying customers and not indicating this policy on their site! Owners with multiple dogs - BEWARE!
I have been a long time member of this company and have always been grateful for their accessible and helpful customer service. Michelle was no exception. I have always had great service, on time delivery and good prices. However now that Petcare Rx has added food choices and Chewy has added Rx. Services. It is a real competition if you are trying to get the best bang for your buck. As a PetCare Plus member you pay a fee. Their prices are less than Chewy (typically) but Chewy doesn't (yet) charge a fee for membership. So this is my trial year. I will believe them until I can prove otherwise... out of a sense of loyalty to the great company they have always been.
I was waiting for a kennel for 2 weeks. During that time I sent an email and called to get an Update on the whereabouts of my order. That was at the end of the first week. The agent said it would be shipping that afternoon.
Another week went by and no kennel and no word. Thanks to PayPal I found out the payment was cancelled by merchant.
A customer service rep did reach out after I called earlier that day and said the item was backordered!. Terrible customer service so beware!

Had an issue when we ordered food, but hadn't properly signed up for membership which saves us on the price. Out of the blue, we got a call from Jennifer from pet care rx to let us know. She answered all the questions we had and got back to us promptly every time! She was a real pleasure to deal with, we are extremely satisfied with the level of service we got!

Non existing customer service, they do not reply to emails and their online "chat" is never available (maybe its the time zone? I'm in california, but they still never reply to emails).
Also their discounts and pricing are very odd. They more you buy the more you pay per product!, if you try to leave the site, they will offer you a better pricing. Feels like a market in morocco, nor offence to the market in morocco. Terrible. I paid for pet plus, so i will continue ordering from them, until the "discount" they offer has paid that pet plus fees, than never again. Such a dishonest way of doing buisness, its awful.

I've used PetcareRx since June 27,2012. Last year I noticed that I was billed almost a full month early for membership after ordering Meds for my dogs without any notification. The amount for the membership was $174 for 2 dogs, so I called about the amount. I was offered a 50% discount for my inconvenience. I did not notice that they then assumed my next 12 month membership was as of that date, June 3, not June 27. Yesterday, May 27, I ordered my dog meds. I was not only billed for the meds, but also $174 for membership. Upon calling I was told they billed early because of the holiday. My membership would be backed up further now into May. I again was offered a 50% reduction - which I refused. I canceled any further dealings with this shady, deceitful company. Better check your account!

I purchased their yearly petplus (which they renew automatically on your credit card). Often when I tried to order my dog's food or treats they were out of them for quite some time. So I had his medicine on auto fill & kept extra on hand in case they ran out. This was a packaged med not a specialty one for him. My dog suddenly passed away & I had two unopened packages of the meds which they refused to let me return because I had them > 30 days. I feel this is a bad policy since he had died & I wouldn't have known that was going to happen so I couldn't have returned them within that time. Period.
Also they act like you save so much with petplus but you don't save nearly what they tell you since you usually can get 25% off their prices even without purchasing it.

In regards to your concern, due to pharmacy board law and general health considerations pharmacies cannot take back any prescriptions medications. Of course if its anything over the counter we can certainly take care of that for you, we are sorry but this is a policy we must follow as a pharmacy. We hope you understand. The membership is expected to save you more then any coupons or offers available as its all wholesale price. If you'd like you can contact us so we can total out your savings while you were an active member. Those who don't save a minimum of the cost of the membership get the difference refunded or put as a credit after the 1 year term is complete.
This company charged me over $100.00 for a subscription that I have no idea what it is and I have never authorized them to charge me for this service. They just did it without me ever having subscribed to anything before. I contacted customer service but I still have NOT received a refund. This company is a scam. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION! Dishonest and deceitful company.

I had a lot of questions about the food that I was ordering via prescription and also some issues with my cat using her litter box and Michelle was so friendly and helpful and looked everything up for me chatted with me about different treats and everything available. Our call dropped twice and she called me back promptly. My first experience so far with this company and I'm pretty happy with it. Service goes a long way if there are issues with the order!

In the past, I have had many problems dealing with pet care RX, especially customer service. My emails have been ignored, medications have taken 2 to 3 weeks to ship, issues with refills... when there are obvious refills available… Today, was a different story when I spoke with Caitlin :) She was very helpful, and sent a fax to our veterinarian while I was on the phone. She apologized for the issues surrounding this order, and said she would take care of it. If you had more people let Caitlin working at Petcare RX, I would be a lot more satisfied with this company! PetCareRx is simply the best. We order food for our cat. We order food and an Rx for our dog. Every thing is always seamless. The people we talk to are so very helpful and knowledgeable. The shipping is free and we always receive our products quickly. We wouldn't go to any other business for what we need for our precious pets. We are so GRATEFUL. Thank you.

It states on the website that you may return any food item if it is not opened within 30 days. I wanted to return a case of 3 canned cat food packs that were completely unopened and I tried the DAY I received the order. They said they do not accept food returns. That is a complete lie as their website states otherwise. I spent COUNTLESS hours in the phone with their horribly rude customer service representatives and FINALLY someone accepted the return. I sent in the return and a week later it was NEVER accepted! I had to call YET AGAIN to have them send my money back. If I didn't call I have no doubt they wouldn't have returned my money.
Also when they say "wholesale" prices for PetPlus members that's complete and utter lies. The prices recently went up by over ten dollars on food I've been ordering from them for 6+ months. It is now cheaper for me to order this food from Amazon. Don't waste your time with this horrific company.

However you are still getting the same price we paid for the products under the membership.
I was having difficulty with the Web site and called the customer service number. Teresa answered and took down the information. A prescription food is back ordered from the mfr and a canned food is in short supply, but you all have it. Teresa was the Woman of the Hour because I have five cats and am close to running out of the wet food they like. Thanks to Teresa, it will be arriving soon. I told her to tell her supervisor that the supervisor needs to give her a bonus and/or buy her lunch!

Today I was ready to place my order for 6 months of Simparica Tria for our dachshund and pit bull. My vet has her own on line store; prices are fairly competitive. Although I must mail in an original vet scrip to PetCareRx to validate a prescription medication, simple time management assures that the 5-7 business day turn over does not jeopardize a smooth transition for monthly flea/tick application. About $40 is saved on two 6 month prescriptions.
Only two of my pets were in the Petplus program, so to take advantage of the savings, I added the dachshund to the program... that very day. Miss Peggie had to call me back with the needed information while a supervisor was on lunch. She called me as promised in a timely manner with a significant discount to add my third pet, which extended my membership one more year for all of them.
The information is always clearly spelled out so that the consumer may make an educated decision with truly no pressure. The more pets, the more savings seem inevitable.

I couldn't get my cats prescription food locally as the company was having distribution delays. I came across your website and with the help of Theresa, an account was established, my vet was called promptly for required prescription and the order for cat food was placed. Not only are they on a prescription diet, they are also picky about their food. Fortunately I received the delivery of their food before I ran out.

Answer: It's trustworthy, a prescription is needed, but dealing with medications taking forever to ship, or having some type of issue with refills has been a continued problem. That is the most frustrating thing about this company.
