In reviewing our recent billing statement, we noticed a $108.16 charge on March 1,2020 by PETCARERX INC. that was neither familiar nor authorized by us.
We made a direct phone call to Pet Care Rx Inc. The company informed us that the charge was an annual subscription fee since 2016 to receive discount pricing. We explained:
We never signed up for, or authorized, any such subscription by phone, email, in writing or otherwise;
Our last pet past away a few years ago and nothing has been ordered since;
We only purchased the standard heart and flea meds for dogs that we shopped around for pricing each time from various companies.
We would definitely remember authorizing any such recurring charge because we are quite adversed to the practice of authorizing any recurring credit card charges.
Pet Care responded by stating they would reverse the March 1,2020 charge and "cancel the subscription" without any acknowledgement or care to the fact we insisted that we never subscribed or authorized this or several previous years' charges. We noticed this year because the annual charge was increase approximately 100% from $54 to $108. Previous years' charges of $54 went unnoticed by us due to the myriad of charges we use on our Citi Visa Card.
Even though we explained Pet Care had subscribed our Citi Visa Card to recurring charges without any authorization and voiced concern for this seemingly poor and fraudulent-like practice, they would not refund or reverse the previous annual charges. We were so unsettled and disillusioned with this occurrence and conversation with Pet Care, we did some research and have since learned this is a common complaint against Pet Care Rx Inc. to the extent of being reported to the Better Business Bureau.
As customers of Citi Visa Cards, we are asking for your assistance to find a way to have Pet Care reverse or refund these previous years' ill-gotten charges.

I ordered medicine for my cat. Andrew called to find out more info about her and tell me about the PetPlus Plan. I asked a lot of questions and he gave me prices for things I use. I told him I needed to do due diligence and check it against what I have paid in the past, which he said was no problem. The prices are indeed better and free shipping helps tremendously! Andrew continues to follow up and answer questions.
The only thing I don't like is right now PetCareRX is having a site-wide 25% off sale and you can't use that on top of your member discount. Yes, the member discount is better, but we also don't get to use the same discount available to everyone else. Just saying...

The members pricing is at wholesale prices so there are no markup fees on anything. I wish I would have come here before joining their club. I paid to join the club price and order my dogs' prescriptions over 2 weeks ago. This happened because a man names Andrew kept calling me relentlessly saying my order had been cancelled, and to please call him back.
I did so, and he claimed resubmitted the order for me- but not before I agreed to enroll in their club discount plan. I reluctantly did because he quoted me a great price for the two prescriptions I needed, and honestly, he wouldn't stop asking.
After I got off the phone with him, I was charged for the membership, yet, again, my order never went through.
I called back and spoke to another representative yesterday, who said there was absolutely no record of my order the second time from Andrew sending it through.
Now my dogs are almost a full month behind on their medication, and all I've done is pay for a membership that it seems like I won't ever be able to use.

As many of you know when your pets become ill you want the best for them. However, the financial burden of medication and vet care can cause additional stress. When my dog became ill and medication was the only way to give her quality of life - I did much research to find a way we can add this additional bill to our budget without a financial strain. I came across PetCareRX and they were a life saver. I have found that their medications by far are much less than any other web site and their customer service is wonderful. Recently I had to add a medication to my Auto ship and Ashley Raghoo was very helpful. She not only reassured me that I would relieve my dogs medication on time but she reminded me that I had points - (an added benefit to Auto ship) to put to toward my order which saved me even more money. If you are in the same situation, with all honesty you can't go wrong with PetCare RX - They are the best!

I have been using PetCareRx for about a year now and have had only great experiences with them. From medications to food and toys, everything arrives correct and in perfect condition. Answer: PetPlus is a scam. You pay $50 a year and pay top dollar if you use your local pharmacy! Stay away. Go on goodrx.com and save money and $50 membership!

Answer: It's trustworthy, a prescription is needed, but dealing with medications taking forever to ship, or having some type of issue with refills has been a continued problem. That is the most frustrating thing about this company.
