Wish I had read these reviews before wasting my money. Looking for current address for a person that owes me money. Site claimed it had the current address and after I paid, all I got was an address that is a year old. I know she moved twice since the address they had and also the addresses they give have no dates on them, so pretty useless. Their customer service does not respond to your complaint of FALSE ADVERTISING, instead tries to justify their blather. How can they claim to have a current address and then not provide it? They should claim "last known address" and then of course no one would pay them. I am reporting to BBB next.
Paid and got no info. They keep your credit card on file so be very careful.
Put out 39.95 for records - birth, marriage, divorce, death etc. what I go were a few phone nos. And some other useless info. Called and asked for refund - refused!
RIPOFF RIPOFF RIPOFF
Paid peoplefinders.com $9.95 to locate information on the name of High School classmate and an additional $24.95 for updated information as the 3 former addresses were no longer accurate. The 2 phone numbers provided were either discontinued on 1st one and the 2nd phone number provided belonged to the current resident at this number for over 7 years.
This company is a scam to bill your credit card for very out of date information and they do not update the addresses or phone numbers they charge you for the information you are trying to acquire to contact the name being provided to peoplefinders. Dont waste you time.
Just now spent 9.95$ to buy a report for one person I tried to find. Except the normal information I can get for free anywhere, nothing else. Keep away from this company. Warn other person don't waste money and get cheated.
Non-FCRA companies like this one are fake. You're not only paying for less info than what's available on a Google search, but you're paying for WRONG info. These assclowns and all their scumbag buddies have me listed as a 66yo pedo in California and my sister listed as a MAN. I've reported them to the Federal Trade Commission. Anyone who cares about mother$#*!ers losing jobs because of these $#*!ups will too. Here's the link: http://www.ftc.gov/faq/consumer-protection/submit-consumer-complaint-ftc
Horrible. The information was correct. I knew about a felony for the person I was searching and I used this site to determine if there were other convictions. The one I was already aware of didn't even show up. Worthless.
This is another dishonest company whose primary mission is scamming people by repeated charges to their credit card. These criminals should be put out of business and convicted of fraud. The technique has become widespread. They put the customer in the position of having to register a negative option to stop charges they never authorized in the first place. They provide NO email, or snail mail, notification, but instead just charge your credit card. I paid out over $120.00 before I noticed the charge oin my credit card statement. I plan to report these fraudsters to the CA Attorney General, and you should too..
I noticed a billing for PFREWARDS in the amount of $24.99 on my credit card in addition to peoplefinders.com for $24.95. This had been going on for a few months. It was clearly deceptive because the billings were always 4 days apart using 2 different company names so the consumer doesn't always notice. The rep & supervisor told me that I signed up for both because I clicked a box during my registration agreeing to an extra payment. I certainly wouldn't choose to be double billed! They both had the too bad so sad attitude that was so irritating and they refused to refund the double billing!
A lame website run by losers who only want your money and should all end up in prison. Their lives are their punishment.
Peoplefinders billed my credit card for nearly $60. That I did not sanction. They hung up on me when I called about the false charges. I would never do business with them. They are a scam company.
Whatever "agreement" I unknowingly became saddled with was at least inconspicuous and at most purposely hidden. Watch your bills carefully! Too bad times are so tough these people can't find an honest way to pay their bills. Blame it on Bush.
I would have given it zero star if I could. It is a complete rip-off. I didn't get any information useful. Stay sway
I got the same issue that everyone else is complaining about. I clicked the button to get an complete report and all I got was a list of relatives. When I called them they said that is all I paid for when the web site lists it as a full report for $30. I got only the same information I could have gotten for free off of ancestry.com. DO NOT USE THEM THIS IS JUST A SCAM WEB SITE!
Rip off. The page said name of person was available then the report never gave me the name of the person. The report was basically the exact same info the webpage showed before paying the 1.95 (very limited info, only the zip code). The webpage is very deceptive and tricky. Do not use this company. They make their business ripping off people.
RIP OFF! Never got anything free and the information SUCKED and was generic at best. I Cancelled immediately. Guess What? I didn't notice that my credit card had been tapped for several months. Ya, they say they will give me back 3 months. We will see. Should I be happy? Should I be happy to get financially raped for the other months that didn't get refunded? Learned a lesson though. (( EVEN IF YOU DON'T USE THAT CREDIT CARD, CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT OFTEN)) You may get a surprise too.
NO STARS ~NO STARS ~~NO STARS
SCAM. SCAM... SCAM... SCAM...
THERE INFORMATION IS SOOO INCORRECT... ITS A FREE TRIAL THEY STILL CHARGE YOU $39.90 THEN TELL YOU ITS YOUR PROBLEM... SONT DEAL WITH THEM DONT DEAL WITH THEM
If I could give this site no stars, I would. I experienced just what other have said. It is a scam that they carefully defend and blame you for not reading the small print. My fault that I didn't discover this scam for eight months. I found it when I was carefully examining my credit card statements to prepare my tax return. I thought I was using the site just once to locate an old friend. Instead, I found that I had "joined" at a monthly rate of $24.95. I think that they would win in court through their clever tactics but they rate an F minus for morality and ethics. Beware of this site!
It is a SCAM - It told me the info was available for the # I was searching. Once I gave them my billing info - the next screen tells me the info in 'Not Available'. BUT BEWARE! I thought I had cancelled & would get a refund by following their instructions - NOT the case. When the charge was not refunded I went to their site again - under all their questions it states they will not cancel by e-mail or thru their site - you must call - when you call it is obvious they are constantly receiving complaints - the gal I got harshly told me my fee was NON-refundable but I was supposed to be happy it was a reduced rate. She told me the info I was given 'It was a celluar phone' was what I paid for - I already knew that! STAY AWAY! Wish there was a way to remove this scam site.
Interesting how they scam you here, they ask you to try them which requires you give them a payment method for which you will not be charged for the first use... funny if you do no specify that you want it cancelled after the first use they will continue to bill your account regardless if you use them or not and they never tell you that they are billing you... then if you ask what the charges represent they say it's for your membership? By the way regardless of how many months they have been billed you they will only credit you for 4-months even if you can prove you never asked for or used their service
Answer: I am sorry but there is no such website as that. Searching for poeple's records could be costly for those websites. They have to make money off of you some way or another.
