I clicked only the button to order $1.95 one time search on someone. I checked my credit card and was billed $12.48,98 cents and 97 cents. I sent them an email and they said they didn't care, I wasn't getting a refund. I told them they were thieves and I was contacting my credit card company reporting them as frauds. They could care less. TERRIBLE COMPANY WHO CLEARLY STEALS FROM PEOPLE. Do not get on their site and order anything because they will charge you for things you did not even do. I even tried to call them instead of email them and i got voicemail. They didn't even have the decency to call me back, they emailed me back.
These guys are big cheaters. Even when you decline their offer of a membership, they still stick it to you. When you call to dispute they make it sound like you have Alzheimer's and don't remember what you did.
The report I got was wrong on top of that. Block their site.
NOT Happy! I'm willing to accept responsibility for my mistake. But seriously, you won't give me my money back for the upcoming month because I'm already 1 day into the cycle?
I would give them no STAR. The trick you into their $24.95 membership. I tried not to get caught by not signing up but they still gave me the membership if I didn't cancel. Read the email they send you. It says if you don't cancel within three days, you will be charge the full membership. I didn't think I signed up for the trial but that is automatic. It's a scam.
Utah's basic street addresses all have North, South, East, or West. PeopleFinders does not display any of them. None. Other search companies display them. When I called PeopleFinders there was NO interest in looking into what I explained. I was told several times during the call that they display what they are given. I told the individual that the product was not of use to me then and that I would like a refund. I got the response of "no, per the terms of..." which I understood. But, I will say that I have found that the service is not interested in customer feedback. I do NOT recommend them at all as there are better options available.
If you pay $0.95 (95 cents) for one use, or a three-day trial, you are very likely to end up with a one year contract at $24.95 with automatic renewal at the end of the year.
See virtually every other comment on this site. I will just say ditto, ditto, ditto,...
They charge you 24.95 with out your knowledge and then refuse to give you a refund, they give you nothing in return, you pay for absolutely nothing. They are thieves, don't use them. Hopefully this company will be forced to shut down. Minus one rating.
I can't access to my account entry jst yesterday Nov. 22/15 for a 3 days trial in searching my relatives' address and email add.?
I signed up for the 3 day trial. Which I totally agreed to BUT when you try and cancel they charge you a cancel fee! WTF. I called they stated if I sign up for a full memebership they will refund they cancel fee until I decide to cancel again?
Don't use peoplefinders.com. They will bill you $24.95 a month without your knowledge. They cannot be trusted with your credit card as they will charge you without your consent.
Simply said, these people are crooks. Their charges mysteriously appear month after month. The phone number they provide leads you to some nutty recording that attempts to sell yet more nonsense. If you are lucky enough to reach them their promises to cancel the charge go unfulfilled.
People Finders is a scam. They charge you $19.95 on a credit card for outdated and inaccurate information. They are now being investigated by the Federal Government. TIPS FOR REIMBURSEMENT: Call your credit card and tell them what occurred. They will then credit your account for the fee and People Finders will receive a chargeback, which they won't be happy about. This will eventually put them out of business. Don't waste your time calling them and asking to talk with a supervisor, they don't have any management available at any time. They probably don't have any supervisors to speak of. This company is a FRAUD. If enough dissatisfied people take the time (a couple of minutes) to call their credit card company, the company won't be able to survive. I'm posting this because I went through the experience and I hope to assist anyone else whose even thinking about paying this company. They don't even deserve one star.
Peoplefinders.com offered "current mailing address" for persons. I needed current mailing addresses for about fifty people to whom I was sending thank you's after my mother's funeral. I had names written in a guest book, but no addresses. So I searched on Peoplefinders.com, giving the first and last name, city, and state of the person. I got FIVE addresses for the first person on my list. I contacted customer service to inquire how I could tell which address would be the current one. The woman on the phone was very rude and unhelpful, even after I explained everything I've written here. She told me that Peoplefinders was not a private investigator and that I had to already know the information I was seeking in order to get it! What a ripoff! And it cost me $2.95 to cancel my trial membership, after only 30 minutes of unacceptable service.
Please don't give this company your business.
There are 2 options when using peoplefinders.com The first option is a one time use option for a charge of. 95. The second is a monthly subscription option, which is 24.95. What the do not clearly state is that if you do not cancel within 3 days, you are automatically transferred to the non-refundable monthly subscription option and charged 24.95 per month until you realize they are charging you and cancel it
Why can't I give 0 stars?! I was bilked for more than I thought and the information wasn't close to correct. Also - I want to echo the person's view on Whitepages.com - is it worth it to sully their reputation by allowing these scammers to piggyback on inquiries?
I never signedup or submittedan agreement with this loser company... found out they were billing my credit card for a month. I called my credit company and they stopped payment and also changed my card number so no more charges could be made. This company has no info on anyone you are lookinf for, customer service have can answers. They all have different answers for the same question... glad i stopped payment and filed a complaint with my credit card company. Watch this company they will take your credit card info and send it the way they want. Good riddens
Was looking for a friend who lived in Florida. It gave me an address for her in the community I live in. We are in a senior development and if she lived here I would have known. She does not live here, never did! She is still in Florida and I was finally able to contact someone who had her phone and new address Now I am being charged 24.95 per month, automatically taken out of my bank account monthly. I want my money back! Now to find someone to talk to about this. Whatever you do DO NOT USE THIS SITE
I clicked on the name I knew in fact was the person I needed information on. I proceed to pay and when it was time to give me the report I received every other James than the one I clicked on. When I put the name in again they wanted me to pay an additional $24.95. This site is a scam!
Please do not waste your time or money by using this site. It is rated only a "1" by almost all reviews by legitimate raters. I paid $29.95 and received NOTHING except my own husband's address. Take that little disclaimer they put in fine print to heart; the one that mentions something to the effect, "if the information is available." No birth, divorce, marriage or other records were pulled up. Shady people!
Answer: I am sorry but there is no such website as that. Searching for poeple's records could be costly for those websites. They have to make money off of you some way or another.
