I went onto eBay to purchase a door lock for my home. I wanted it shipped to my home in tge UK. I have more than 250 feedbacks on eBay and all positive from both buying and selling. After I made this last purchase paypal froze my account and held onto my nearly $400 balance and they won't release my money. It was from past sales of mine which are completed. Complaining to paypal went unanswered. They Rep said they are nit s bank so they can keep your balance or freeze your account if they want because they don't have to follow the traditional rules of a bank. Now we will make sure we post comments everywhere to warn others of paypal. We don't shop on bray anymore either because of paypal.
A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We ordered an electric toothbrush on eBay and that froze our account with no understanding or explanation why. They kept our balance of $87 that we had in Paypal from selling odds and ends, that money belonged to us.

Stay away from Paypal. I bought a shirt on eBay and they froze my account. I had money in my paypal from items around my house that I sold. When they froze my account they kept my balance. No manager was able to help. Everyone there were just rude to me and didn't want to talk, only to keep my money! No more eBay because of paypal. I now shop through Amazon and they are great!
I adopted a dog and paid using paypal. I never saw the phrase that says they don't cover animals which means they don't make refuns if the transaction covers an animal. Anyway if they don't protect buyers against such transaction then why on earth they deal w/ animal rescue. What are you going to buy from an animal rescue other than an animal. They're really bad people and they only want to make money. So my advice always pay through your credit card, you can always dispute a claim and get your money back.
Staff that takes the calls is rude. When I asked for a manager I got my account closed for complaining. Now I can't get my funds out. AVOID PAYPAL AT ANY COST, THEY ARE A NIGHTMARE.
If you want your account frozen and they keep your money until who knows when and be talked down to and be treated like you-re a nobody, then paypal is the place for you!

I had balt a camcorder on eBay then a few days later i went to my bank and i was told that my account had a $60.00 over draft it turnd out that PayPal had taking the cash out of my bank account in sted of my green dot card i called PayPal up and told them what had happened then i was told that the agent could send a re crest for the fee that the bank had charged me for the over draft but that would be like a lost calls basically
PayPal is easy and I've never had any problems with them. I recommend this if you like to shop online.
If you use this site alot like I do you will experience many problems. It's always down. It has too much traffic and the site can't handle it. Or when you get to the end f making a shipping label and it's ready to print it will boot you off and you have to start all over again. Such a waste of time. Unfortunately I have to use it because of Ebay. :( I don't recommend it!
These guys are awful.
I created an account with them and was using it to get payments from my customers.
For 3 months everything was fine but then suddenly they Blocked (put a limitation) on it saying that I need to send some papers fpr proof.
I did that but still they are not withdrawing the limitations.
They even blocked my $200 which was there in my account.
I don't know what to do as it has almost ruined my business.
I want to sue them, they are bloody scammers!
