The overall reputation of the company reflects significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its customer service and support. Many reviews highlight frustrations with delayed transactions, ineffective resolution of disputes, and a lack of proactive communication. Customers frequently report feeling unsupported in cases of fraud or issues with received goods. However, some positive sentiments emerge, particularly regarding the perceived reliability of PayPal as a payment method for certain transactions, which customers associate with enhanced buyer protection. Despite this, the overwhelming trend indicates a critical need for improvement in customer service responsiveness and dispute resolution processes.

The best of paypal is very easy for whithdraw your money and it is sent and recervoie money and I used to trust PayPal as I never had a very bad exprience with them.
I paid 4,7% in fees converting NOK to USD. Use the «bank rate» option when paying with foreign currencies to avoid this.
I have been discriminated by paypal. We indians are not given preference by the customer support. I have emailed them number of times but no response.
I created on Business Account. Got confused between business name and my name. On request i emailed them my PANCARD but it's almost one month no response.
Second i created my NON BUSINESS ACCOUNT unable to verify my mobile. I get some junk type of activation code which leads to an error.
God saves us.
Regards..
1) Someone creates an account from e-bay from any country in any name.
2) he adds YOUR paypal's mail address to a drug involved sore cream as he can add any mail address to a single product he likes without been asked a password or a notice.
3) he sells the product to someone in the world and updates the shipping information from e-bay and now it is auto updated in your account too.
Oh my, you become a drug seller without knowing anything.
BOOM, your account and your SS is permanently restricted, you are been accused to be a drug seller and they won't listen anything.
I hope someone do it for the employees and wonder if they do the same for themselves.
My PayPal debit card expired and I did not receive a new one which has been customary for the last 15 years of my membership. When I contacted customer service I began getting automated letters advising me that my address was incomplete. I checked my account and it was complete so I responded accordingly. And then the automated letters start coming with a different name on each one. With each email, there was a different id code with instructions to go to the resolution center. I did that and continued to get SORRY WE CAN'T PROCESS YOUR REQUEST. The latest AND THE LAST ONE is PP-006-648-200-973
I finally decided there is no living person actually working in their customer service.
I know this will come as a shock to PayPal, but I can actually survive without using their card. So BEWARE if you have a customer service inquiry you are in big trouble with these incompetent beggars.
Even after shipping and providing tracking with money out of pocket they still tell me i gotta wait 3 days after buyer recieves to get my mobey i already put out. This makes for late shipping to buyers and money i dont have floating
An extremely poor, slow and pathetic service.
On the 21st Feb' 2018, I phoned PayPal and got transferred to the `Technical Support`. I then waited on their line for 54 minutes (with annoying music) then the call went dead.
I then phoned back and was transferred again. This time I waited for 1 hour and 25 minutes on their line (with the same music), but couldn't hang on anymore.
This isn't the first time I've experienced this with PayPal. I would expect a better and faster service from such a huge (& very wealthy) company, but I can truly say I've had REALLY bad experiences and will certainly be looking elsewhere for a better merchant.
Terrible!
I use Paypal for every purchase I make online. Most sites I use offer it so that's cool. If it doesn't then I won't use the site. The only thing I wouldn't like is having to log in after I've made multiple purchases.
I use PayPal for everything I possibly can. I just wish that Amazon would take PayPal as a means to check out. Then, I'd totally be in heaven.
Be careful leaving large amounts of money in your account, one day they will just freeze your account and it will take months for you to get the money back.
I'm using it to pay here and there for a decade.
Had problem once. They resolved it perfectly.
Will use them as a primary method of the online payment.
I have the paypal app which I use frequently well over this past few months I started to work more with the app while using it with ebay well I sold an item from ebay through paypal which I got a notification to ship item while the buyer cancelled as I shipped item and now paypal nor ebay will guarantee my sell. I have been dealing with this for about 2 months now, got a new phone and they want me to submit proof that the app said okay to ship like how?!? Worthless company they draw you in and eat you up. I don't recommend on using a lot of business with this type of company.
I have twice had refunds from dodgy online sellers, the process was easy and I would use again. Fees are a bit high when selling on ebay though, I think they can be a bit greedy considering how many people use them these days.
I lost $1,800 on a purchase that turned out to be junk and useless. Will never use again. The company leaves you no options to get your money back if they don't offer you a refund, you will be left with their phone support who just read irrelevant answers from a script.
Customer service is beyond bad. Wanted to contribute 5.00 to a charity site and it came out $50.00. Almost impossible to have it canceled.
I have been using Paypal for 20 years and have n\had no problems. I love it because it protects your credit card ID from getting in the hands of unscrupulous sellers. And if you are scammed by a seller or business, they will go to bat for you. I also used them as my shopping cart on my website for 12 years which I just recently retired. Any time I have had a problem, and I have had a few involving sellers who tried scamming me, they have gone to bat for me, and I have always been on the winning side. I also have their debit card, and it is free... there are no fees at all. They have wonderful customer service, and always help you if you ask for it.
They make it very easy to buy stuff through them but if you're selling on your site there are many better options than PayPal as long as your customers will still do it.
Pay Pal helps me manage funds for purchases however they are exceptionally inefficient if you need customer support. When my daughter passed away I requested they close her account and forward any funds to me as I did not know her log in and her bank account was closed. I received conflicting instructions from them and although I forwarded all the documents to them they requested several times they failed again and again to do what several of their representatives said they would do. I have called them at least four times and have securely emailed them repeatedly. The only solution at this point is probably legal action. I would not use them if I were you. At this point I consider them thieves.
I have used PayPal for over 10 years now and have never had an issue that they could not help me with. Until now. I was the victim of a bait and switch scam and according to PayPal's new rues if the item is remotely close to what you ordered, tough luck, So when you get an item that is plastic instead of stained glass as advertised, you get to keep that hunk of junk because you ordered it. There are more scams out there than ever these days and PayPal siding with the scammers left a really bad taste in my mouth.
I had to deposit $ in my ppal account to pay a supplier who only accept paypal for payment overseas... anyways, requested the money be taken from the confirmed bank account on jan. 6... on jan 8th the money was withdrawn and as of today jan 12, the money is still not deposited in my ppal account. Tried to reach customer service... the only way I could without having to hold on for hours on the phone... was to post a comment on the fb page... to which they replied the next day! Telling me it may take up to 7 business days! This is ridiculous... when the $ has been withdrawn... I suspect that Paypal is making a buck with our cash while hanging to it for that long... why would it take that long? I think this should be reported to authorities for abusive practices! This is the end of me with Paypal for sure... I have had worse experience doing business with them and ditched their services... they charge high fees and offer a very poor customer service... when you have a problem... you're basically on your own and have to wait! They do not lift a finger to help. Paypal has enjoyed many years of monopoly for offering this service but competition is growing and I would strongly advise consumers to seek other companies... paypal will eventually let you down... that's the only promise they can keep.
Answer: I would not recommend PayPal to anyone for anything they're a joke of a business
Answer: Paypal will NOT be on your side if the item is not as described. I bought an item that was totally wrong, advertised as "handmade, hand quilted, made of brushed Kona cotton", picture was beautiful with wonderful quilting and vibrant colors and I was buying from a company from Texas. I received an item from Texas, not handmade, not hand quilted, not vibrant colors, not brushed cotton and it was just a picture printed on cheap polyester/nylon fabric. Hideous. I paid $99.90. Company first offered to refund $30, nope, still way too expensive for a cheap quilt that I wouldn't even use for my pets. Then said if I return the "quilt" to China at my expense they would refund the money. Cost to return? $70. Paypal agreed with this company, denied my claim and I'm sitting here with something I would feel cheated if I paid $10. Paypal is not the company it once was. Use your credit card as that company will have your back. Looking to see what a better option is than Paypal. 20 year customer and I'm done. I do not think anyone actually reads our messages to Paypal.
Answer: They have become a money laundry scamming allowing company. Stay away at any cost.
Answer: USPS delievered it to the wrong address my pacakge was supposed to be delievered too 35710 Bay Morgan Ln, Fallbrook, CA 92028 when USPS delivered it to an address simillar to this one 12354 Alcatal Street (do not know the exact address since they did not email me, but you can call USPS and ask, and that is how I found out) Fallbrook, CA 92028, right city and zip code, far away address.
Answer: I'm thinking someone has to work there, if you send messages you will get a canned reply, I get the same response from 10 messages, basically "suck it up buttercup, you have just been played" but if you try to actually talk to a person good luck.
Answer: They dont. They wait for you to forget it. You get money back if you fill in a form after 180 days.
Answer: Do never send money to PayPal. That money is lost. This company has become a Giants money laundry company.
Answer: No there is not. PayPal protects scammers. Be sure to never use them.
Answer: It doesn't matter if you report them or not PayPal won't do nothing about it they continued to let the scammers operate on their site and do not protect consumers
Answer: SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE WITH THAT LOT, THEY CLAIM TO REFUND AMOUNTS PAID FOR ITEMS THAT DO NOT ARRIVE THATS "BS" I HAVE HAD 3 SUCH CLAIMS FROM 14 TRANSACTIONS AND HAVE NEVER GOT A REFUND DESPITE THEIR CLAIMS, THEY ARE CROOKS, FULL STOP, KEEP WELL CLEAR OF THEM.
