Frustrated

I attempted to purchase a phone through a website called Swappa a couple nights ago. Using PayPal to make the sale. There was an issue with the site, so the order didn't go through, however the funds were taken out of my account anyway. After contacting their customer service, who basically gave me the run around and told me to just contact my bank, I am now having to file a dispute to have my money returned, and also have a new credit card printed.

I sell on eBay

Money is sent to pay pal
I enter my tracking info on packages
Anything to make it run smoothly but not quite

I received a $105.00 payment 4/25

I still don't have it I called and got it off hold which is what happens to funds once eBay is payed it's sent to pay pal and is put on hold eventually beinv released to show up available on your account summary in pay pal

To have it sent to the bank or a card it takes an additional 72 hours to do that

So I sold item 4/25 was paid 4/25

Had $105 taken off hold yesterday and sent it to my card but was given the up to 72 hourhours

Mi experiencia con paypal es que cuida los intereses de los vendedores. O sea si compras es muy dificil que logres que tu reclamo sea oido. Le podes presentar mil pruebas pero jamas vas a tener razon. Si encuentran otra forma de pagar, haganlo. Ademas de las comisiones que nos cobra no estamos protegidos como supuestamente informan.

They say that if you use PayPal then you are protected. Someone else used my PayPal account and they will not take it off of my bill. I am going to cancel their service as soon as they allow me! Terrible customer service!

It takes most all merchant services one day to transfer money from my customers to my bank account- It takes PayPal one week or longer to transfer funds- during this time PayPal collects interest on my money(and everyone elses) this should be illegal! Get a merchant account at any bank offering merchant accounts if you want fast transfers! I believe non business people are using this outrageous service from PayPal? Sucks!

I bought a pre loadable paypal card just to buy a 19.88 lacefront human wig all my actions to purchase was declined and after all that I called them they told me my card was locked I don't know why after that they unlocked it my balance was 4. Bucks I never even got to purchase anything. They don't give us refunds altho they say their protected its another case of over charging me for decline transactions just to take my money

Ebay owns Paypal. That's the first point. I bought an item on Ebay with a final order total of £582. By the time it came to pay for the item the total was £601. I made a complaint to them and was given the runaround and a lot of terms and conditions waffle about currency exchange rates etc. Ebay gives you a total amount and Paypal gives you another total that is higher based on a lower exchange rate. Complain to Ebay and they say it's Paypal's fault. Complain to Paypal and they say contact Ebay. Both companies are owned by the same money-grabbers.

Vendors should stop using paypal as their only payment method as they are a horribly dishonest company. Their customer service dept lies to your face as they steal your money and most review sites rate them at 1/10 the fact that this site does not rate them as 1/10 causes me to question this sites integrity. Use another marketplace to do your commerce, unless you dont mind your money stolen from you.

PayPal is dishonest!
March 30, 2018

I am in the US. I attempted to pay an invoice from Belgium using Euros. When I called up the appropriate screen and entered 552 Euros, the screen gave me the option of using PayPal to convert the currency from US Dollars to Euros (total of $702), it gave me the option to have my Credit Card company do the conversion. I elected the Credit Card company to do the conversion because their rate to do the conversion would have been about $20 less. The transaction was rejected and I was notified via message that my Credit Card company had rejected the transaction. I called the Credit Card company and was advised that there was NO transaction attempted. I asked the Card company to enable an International transaction since I thought that may have been the problem. They did so and stayed with me on the line for me to try again with PayPal. The transaction was again rejected. I was advised that the Card company rejected it. The bank stated that no transaction had been attempted with them. I then attempted the same transaction using the Credit Card billing address and the same thing happened. I called PayPal and the representative admitted that the transaction was rejected for "security" reasons. He had no explanation for why I was advised on the site that the Credit Card had rejected the transaction. He had no ability to override the system and advised me that probably no transaction would go through because of the multiple failed attempts. Just for grins I tried to put it through using PayPal's conversion service and the transaction went right through. Even though PayPal gets paid 5% by the recipient for the transaction, their greed required me to pay them an additional 3+% to convert US Dollars to Euros. They falsely advertise that you can use your Credit Card company to convert the currency and then lied about my Credit Card company refusing the transaction. I asked to speak with a supervisor. She said the transaction was not rejected for security reasons but by my bank telling me that my Credit Card company doesn't honor Euro transaction. I have put 2 Euro transaction through my the same credit card in the past week with absolutely no problem. The supervisor clearly lied to me. PayPal is patently dishonest!

Unfortunately, after many years of working with PayPal I am completely disappointed in their services. It is not PayPal it was anymore. Now it is just a money machine for their owners that works on its own and does not want to be bothered by us with our problems.

In good times, making purchases online, I only trusted the seller if the payments could be made with PayPal. Now as my experience shows, PayPal works even with scam companies and does not listen to the client that reports this company.

I had very bad experience opening a case with PayPal. I needed a refund for items that were not sent to me. The scam Chinese company made a partial shipment and sent just one fake item but took my money for all three. We had a conversation with that company through PayPal where the seller accidentally admitted that two items were not sent. But PayPal sent me a strange email requiring me to open a case with a police. I had to spend a lot of time talking trough their horrible answering machines and wait forever for a call back from PayPal several times to finally get a refund for those two items. So, they don't even read a conversation between you and the seller. Plus, they made a refund from their pocket not from the scam company account because, I guess, it is easier for them (they have enough money to afford it). So, that scam Chinese company continues to fool Americans. Very sad!

So, PayPal is not my choice of company anymore.

Very high charge, about exchanges all countries money send to $. So, seems Paypal cheating on us, I feel every time. So I do not wanna use Paypal

How to travel free with PAYPAL? Cheating with Paypal.
Is very easy do a fraud with PAYAPAL to get a travel free.
If you can pay with PAYPAL a service like tour, hotel, tickets and any that be a SERVICE and doesnt requiere a delivery by Mail or UPS etc.
Because PAYPAL only protect transactions with a RECEIPT of MAIL DELIVERY all other transactions claimed proceed.
Then after travel you claim to your Credit Card as invalid transaction, Unknow transaction, and you receive a refund for it.

IF YOU ARE A RESTAURANT, TOUR PROVIDER etc BE CAREFULL! There is a lot of people traveling free with this tool.

I have had PayPal for years and no problem, recently they offered me a "Cash back MasterCard" I got it and it was fine for the first few months, I got rewards as promised ETC. THEN when I was making my Feb. Monthly MasterCard payment. Their system went down in the middle of it and caused me to make two payments of over $2,000.00 as my total monthly charge on the card was over $1,000.00 I contacted them and ask them to reverse one of the over charges and the chat person said they couldn't but could send me a check. Well I told them to just post it on the account as a credit and I would use it next month to pay on the master card bill. So they posted it as a credit to the account. Then with out my knowledge or permission each time I made a purchase they would deduct that amount form the cash credit I had on the account and charge me a transaction fee and pay it to the credit limit on the account. The only authorization they had over that account was a ONE TIME automatic payment on the due date to pay the total owed during the month. I ordered them the send the remaining back and the chat person said they would and also send me a "$25.00 adjustment check" the remaining balance came but I never received the $25.00 check but it shows it was sent on my account. ALSO they don't even show the transaction charges on my monthly statement which was posted a week ago. I filed a complaint with the D. O. J. And am waiting a reply but so far nothing. Word to the wise if you over pay the card be sure to make them send you a check and not post the over payment to the account.

Don't trust paypal

I paid a service through paypal. I didn't get what i received which promised by the merchant and due date. Contacted paypal for help and sent my proofs to them. They did not look at the details of my case and decided to resolve the case in favor the merchant. If you think pay through paypal is safe, no, it's not. They don't take your complaint seriously.

Paypal is a good company and they have a very good merchant account system. Paypal is primarily for businesses to take payments with. Consumers use to get a warranty against buying from sellers that ripped them off. Paypal is getting 4 stars because that system for reimbursement is not as good as it once was. Paypal recently stated that they are there to protect the seller's interests not the buyers moving forward. That being said at least they told us and we know what to expect in the future.

Solid and reliable

Never had any problems with PayPal. Their API docs for developers are pretty good making it pretty easy to you PayPal as a payment processor for eCommerce stores.
