I capped up my card via direct withdraw from my bank. Has cleared my bank but held for 10 days before they apply it to my account. As a safety measure...they have a backup source for my sales, holding it hostage and earning interest and cred on how big their own bank acct is. If I had not called the hold could be 30 days

As a service provider we get paid after service is complete. PayPal decides to withhold your money for 21 days that is b.s and I will never use them for any business purposes ever again. Don't sign up for they business account they are terrible how they handle transactions. If I was a seller I can see holding funds but as a service provider they need to update how they go about holding funds this is causing a lot of problems on my end as I needed to utilize those funds for business reasons and I have to wait. I won't recommend them DON'T USE PAYPAL BUSINESS ACCOUNT THEY TRASH AND THEY TAKE A FEE AND WILL STILL HOLD YOUR FUNDS

Paypal doesn't disclose all fees up-front.

Paypal charges about 4% for using their invoices and keeps YOUR money from you for several days. The reason is to provide the customer with some protection in the event of a dispute or return, which is fine, I agree with that. What I DON'T agree with is the surprise fee at the end of the 11-21 day waiting period. After holding your money for several days, in order to have your money "Available instantly" PayPal has the nerve to charge an additional $25 fee, otherwise the funds might not arrive in your account for up to 3 MORE business days. The other option is issue a refund and start the payment process all over again with another payment processor. That's a scam. If I had known in advance PayPal was going to pull something like that, I would have just used Cashapp or Zelle, like I plan to do from now on.

A few weeks ago, PayPal restricted our business account without notice and without cause. We were locked out of our account for five days, including a weekend. I had to use my personal funds to run my business. What if I didn't have the funds in my personal account? This is a small business, generating more than $150K a year. When asked why this happened, the PayPal representative said, "That's the way we work. If you want to leave PayPal, we will respect your decision." That's it. I am still flabbergasted that I would get that response from a reputable business. No more. They act like they are the only payment platform.

I uploaded the site thru PaySmell that would enable me to take credit cards for my business but the first time i attempted to make a charge manually it did not work. Their app first asked me if i wanted to make the charge manually ( yes or no) but it would not allow me to access" yes." Instead their site reverted me over to credit card processing machines that cost a minimum of $199.00. I'm certainly not spending that kind of money for any size charge. The card swiper most likely cost these scammers a dollar and twenty five cents and they are already making a transaction fee for every charge you or i make. So if your needing a credit card processor use anyone but these scammers would be my strongest suggestion.

Bad service

I had nothing but trouble with this company. They would not release my money to me. They continue to make me wait for my money and keep telling me that they need more information I have been on hold for hours and I had to talk to several supervisors and they continue to give me the run around the last time I talked to them I made them give me a confirmation number to assure me that I would get my money that will not allow me to have. I had to finally contact the lawyer and explain to him what PayPal has been doing to me

Paypal puts a 21 day hold on receiving a payment when running a small business!
This screwed both sides.
DO NOT USE PAYPAL they are an awful service for small businesses!

These theives take people's money lock there accounts where u can't access it or talk to a real person they just keep putting it on a computer chat box that doesn't help with any issues I would never trust my money here but yall make y'all's own choice but there nobody to get a hold of I've tried for weeks now and gotten nowhere they still have my money and my account locked up so if u want ur assets frozen and or locked or took this is the place for u.plz folks don't be a moron and lose your money because of these fraudulent fools

I prepaid for a rental car with avis using paypal. Avis told me they cannot accept paypal as a payment method because there is no card number to check the last 4 digits on. So the day of vacation avis charged me the full rental amount, plus deposit. After I had already paid in full and should have had a $300 hold on my credit card. So now I have an authorization and have already paid a total of $1,049. This is day 1 of my vacation. I ask for my money back from avis and paypal. Neither company will look at it or try to resolve anything in anyway. I am quite upset at this point. But hey everyone going on vacation with a family of 4 has multiple extra thousands of dollars available to go with right? I end the vacation 1 day early. Lose the money paid for prepayment on the days activites. $260 gone. Come back home and return the car 1 day early. So a total of 6 days. I call avis and they are barely willing to refund me for the day I returned the car early. Only after arguing with the phone representitive for 20 minutes. Now 4 hours on the phone with paypal the superviser named Ron finally looks at the request. He told me for 5 minutes or more that it was not possible to close out the case today. I argued and kept asking him to look at the information from 7 days ago. FInally they agree that I should get my money back and they will send it in 3-5 days

So to be very clear. Paypal advertised Avis as being a business partner that provides "deals" with. You can prepay with Paypal. Once you go to pick up the car Avis says "i need the last 4 digits of the card used to make this reservation". You say Paypal is a digital wallet that doesnt provide the last 4 digits of a card as its not a credit or credit card.

Avis says: we dont accept prepaid reservations without it. Then they charge you the full amount, plus the incidentals fee on a credit card and pretend your prepaid reservation doesnt exist.

Anyone thinking of purchasing anything whatsoever from Chinese supplier Noxvxvbxefu Technology Co.Ltd just don't bother, they sell absolute junk, it doesn't even work and when you open a dispute over payment via PayPal they are equally as useless as the supplier.

Total scam that's obviously backed up by PayPal.

Both companies to be avoided at all costs

So struggling after loss of job, computer hacking, and identity theft. Of course my credit was almost perfect now 500. My identity theft person's name was on my account the other day when I wanted to get it out of collections. I called PayPal right away to make sure this person wasn't stealing more money also to see if he changed the name and address on my account. She didn't care at all what I've been through all she kept asking me over and over was do you have a confirmation # for your payment? I said ok so that's all this phone call is about? You want me to prove I paid my bill? What ignorance. I realize all you care about is your $80 but come on have a little compassion no job computer hacking identity theft on March 28 still not recovered. Thanks for being part of my nightmare with contacting the credit bureaus. My almost perfect credit now 500. Non of you will understand until it happens to you. Thanks for all your support!

PayPal permanently banned me after over a decade with no complaints or refunds. All I ever used it for was to pay for stuff online, subscriptions, and sending/receiving money from people I know. They said it was a decision by their acceptable use team but refused to tell me what the actual issue was.

I ordered an item using PayPal. Paid $156 only to find out once it was received that it is counterfeit and was ultimately seized by the USPS. PayPal denied my request for a Refund because I didn't provide a tracking number for the returned merchandise. How can I provide a tracking number for something that was seized for being illegal and counterfeit? PayPal didn't even read, nor care about my situation. They simply just denied the request. No wonder their customer ratings suck. I won't be using them again

Phishing email scam

I am not sure why PayPal has not resolved its phishing emails over the years. I was a victim of one of the phishing emails and scammed out of my saved money about $2500 in gift cards. Never heard about these scams. But of course, Paypal never accepts any fault even at the end of the day, it is PayPal's fault because they never have any email communications about how to avoid scams and phishing emails. Crappy business. I would recommend anyone to look at the internet crimes of your state general attorney and see how many options you have when you file a complaint about phishing/scam Paypal. It is mind-blowing.

Paypal will back up their corporate clients over the customer. Wix.com charged an unauthorized fee, and even though the paypal dispute dept. can easily verify that the services up to this date are non existent, wix.com states it was cancelled but Paypal still told me they will charge me and get the money back to wix. I'm absolutely defenseless against this move. It may not be a lot of money for them but it's really affecting me. The reason why I requested the service to not auto renew was because I was not making money on the business to start with, and now I'm in debt because this disgusting company went ahead and charged me, right after disconnecting the service as I requested. I don't know how I will resolve this but I will not pay a penny for something I expressly requested to have cancelled. And I will never use Paypal for any transactions ever again.
