Because of the COVID-19 pandemic I was laid off and had to start selling my writing to bring in income, well they wanted me to verify my account which I did multiple time before. They claimed it was suspicious activity, well when I explained what it was and uploaded my paper state ID I receive until the new one arrived they said they don't accept state paper ID's. With the pandemic going on there is no telling when I will receive my state ID. So now the money I have earned to pay my bills is on hold and I can't withdraw it because they won't accept paper ID's which is outrageous since the State Paper ID's act as our ID's until we receive them in the mail. Paypal has to do better, and I have never been so livid before. Once I get my $70 out of paypal, I am closing my account down for good. It's crazy that I have to go through this, and I am sure I am not the only one.

You people are ridiculous. If the person that I placed an order with is a scammer then how can you deny my claim for a refund? Clearly you didn't research the claim because you closed my case in less than 15 hours. If don't protect me against scammers then what is the purpose of using your service? I can't belive this. You're just going to allow this person to take my funds and I have nothing? This is ridiculous PayPal. Especially during these times when people are taking advantage of the vulnerable during this pandemic and you aren't worth a penny of help. I'll definitely reconsider using you service in the future. This is pathetic!

More then 3 month all income payments on hold. All time says wait for 48hours we review your acc and upload information.
All 3 month the same. Got fee but money on holds. Customer service 0 help realy 0.

I e purchase 2 items using PayPal because they guarantee a full refund if you can't reach a solution with the seller, what they don't tell you is there is a catch 22. Even if the sellers return policy is out of your means to due so PayPal will close your case and role in the skiers favor. The cost for me to ship back 2 items that was not what was described would be over a 100 dollars to shop to China, and the time frame in which was allowed due to this Covid-19 would be impossible. PayPal was no help, you can't get in touch with anyone live, links they send claiming to help in the return was broken, and each time I try to reopen the clam I get a message that the case is closed.

I've tried multiple times to get a hold of someone at paypal as they hold your money hostage. Their fees are insane but when trying to move your money they refuse to do so because of "security reasons". What BS! Especially during a pandemic as well, they take advantage and rape you to do any other transfer. Plus when using their message center, it's always a different person answering and instead of trying to resolve your issue they brush you off. Pass the word around. It I could give negative stars, I definitely would. DO NOT USE PAYPAL!

Paypal is awful

You should never use PayPal. They've recently taken a buyers side who's obviously pretending not to have received a product even though I provided absolute proof of delivery, via a UPS delivery confirmation AND an email where my buyer confirmed he had the product! This place is so crooked and obviously working with these scam artists and not with someone like you and me, someone just trying to sell a small product! Watch out people!

Long story short, bought a service. The vendor could not offer the service for that date and offer a voucher. I don't want it and open a ticket with paypal to get the money back. Guess what, they reply that this is not covered in the Safety and protection policies.
But why you make me pay if you don't cover me? Use amazon and let these people go home!

Here is the complain number on paypal just to show you that this is not a fake review! PP-D-*******

I've used paypal for a while and recently it's a joke, they have limited my account and then fixed my account however the terrible system they have in place still doesn't work, and when they mess up? Oh well all your money gets locked! You have no access to money that is yours and they have no right to just keep from you for days on end. This is the thrid time they have done this putting me in difficult times. Avoid paypal if you can help it. Unprofessional idiots all of them

Some companies online don't honor their 'trial' periods. The minute you give them your financial info they charge your account even when you cancel within the trial period. Pay Pal doesn't care nor understand this fraud & rip off. I NO LONGER TRUST PAYPAL TO BE FAIR NOR DO RIGHT BY THEIR CUSTOMERS.

My account was hacked and multiple gift cards were purchased I called immediately and told them and they opened a case but then come back to me and said that I am the one who made the purchase. Do not use PayPal it's not worth it. Also this was my second PayPal account my first one randomly got shutdown and they said they are holding all the money for 180 days. PayPal is a scam do not use them they will steal your money and not let you access it.

PayPal is complete trash! I had my friend wire me over some money he owed me while he is right in front of me and the money has been locked in my account for 5 days now! Since I can't get anyone on the phone they advise the message center so I do that and the dam agent (overseas) who knows $#*! about PayPal, tells me to wait 24 hours and it will be available. This was two days ago. Like I said this form of paying someone is the worst out there and customer service is complete garbage!

I have order an item on eBay and paid for using PayPal. My card has been charged after PayPal used a generous (for them) conversion rate to complete payment. Due to some issue on eBay the seller could not generate a shipping label and we have mutually agreed to cancel the order and reverse the PayPal transaction. So far everything was fine, except PayPal, instead of reversing the transaction and credit my card with the amount initially charged, they have applied again a much lower conversion rate on the foreign funds which ended up costing me a little less than $40. For nothing! I've contacted PP customer service but they FAILED helping me by FAIRLY resolving this issue.

Had sought help from Paypal regarding goods ordered however, when it arrived, it does not. Match at all what I have ordered. Spught hep from Patpal with my case with Strong Current Enterprises Ltd. Befored the 160 days period and Paypal instructed me to return the items which I did, but, nil action done by Paypal thereafter. I have not been refunded at all by the seller which I asked PayPal to help me with it because I transferred to PayPal to deal with this seller. I was told by Paypal earlier I am entitled to a refund and Paypal will deal with it but this didnot happen.
I want the Manager or even the Director of Paypal to investigate my case because PayPal as per previous conversation, PayPal will refund me of my money but I felt lied twice, first by the seller and Paypal. Where is the customer protection PayPal is talking about?

Refunded money from my account without my knowledge and without telling the buyer to return item. They are very bad if you have to contact them for any issue. When you end up speaking to an agent it looks as if you are speaking to a robot. BEWARE!
Have reported them to ombudsman, waiting for their response

Money scammer

They are absolutely not upfront about the holds they place on each transaction. If they were I wouldn't be so pissed off. Some they let go thru and others they hold for weeks... be very careful how you use this service. My advice... stay away. You won't get any help from customer service, most can't speak decent english to even understand what your asking!

PayPal never take care of their buyers. I'm their member and I will give up their membership. If you buy something and you want to cancel it PayPal will not stop the payment or any fraud happing in their work frame.
