I purchased an item through Paypal from Banggood in thoughts that I would be protected by Paypal as they so aptly advertise. After receiving a defective product I contacted paypal and filed a grievance as directed by their automated line. Over 30 emails and numerous calls to Paypall with all Emails responded to by a generic computer response telling me to file a grievance that I had already filed. No answers to phone calls waiting on hold > 30" and to be disconnected or number was inactive. Sent all requested information to both Paypal and Banggood on numerous occasions. Pay pal continued with the computer-generated generic response to file a claim that was already filed on June 28. On July 18th I received an Email from Paypal that my claim was denied, Not in my favor and I had not filed a grievance. This despite their 11 generic computer-generated responses that showed on my grievance report on their website that, indeed, I had filed a grievance. I was never able to talk to or Email an individual at Paypal: Only computer-generated generic responses. I had more contact, although slight of hand, bordering thievery, and broken english from Banggod which sports an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau then I ever did with Paypal. If anyone is able to contact a real person at Paypal please place that number on line as all reviews I read about Paypal, the only time they respond to customers inquires is in a response to a letter generated by the Better Business Bureau. Good luck to all on your endeavors with Paypal. I don't know of what services they supply but Paypal was not a Penpal to me.

Paypal advocates that they are a secure way to make and receive payments and that is a lie. I had purchased an item from a website, that turned out to be a scam. I provided Paypal evidence of all this evidence of credibility, that the order was never mailed and they still declined my case. Deleting my account after dealing with this bull$#*!. They will no longer receive my business. They allow fraudulent accounts to steal people's money. I filed 4 complaints on the same transaction, 2 automatically denied the minute of submitting, not even looking at the case filed. They say purchases are covered, but that turned out to be a lie as well.

Poor service

Struggeled having my card added as each time it was getting declined after adding it I was not able to pay for anything each time I try to pay it was asking to add a card and when I was adding thr card and then click on add nothing would happen, i just get charged for 1 dollar each time i click on add and 2 of these are not refunded to my credit card! I sent them multiple messages to check whats the issue with my account and how to fix it and their response was it was due to security reasons and it should not happen again, tried another seller on ebay, same thing!
Time and money waisting
I totally don't recommend, i closed my account eventually

On 7/19/2020! I got a text message from my credit I have a pending transaction $114 then I got a email from PayPal for the purchase with a USPS tracking number when I click on the tracking number show my item was delivered on 7/18/202 then I try to call PayPal on Monday no one pick up so I email PayPal try to stop the transaction long and short story they said that not a unauthorized transaction so I have to call my credit card to stop the transaction then they issued me a new card but I my new card not even home PayPal let other transaction go to again so I have to call my credit card stop one more transaction then I close PayPal account, PayPal used to be good customer service but now is a joke stay away from PayPal

I ordered an item from www.woolput.com and moments afterwards I received a payment confirmation email where I noticed this was a Chinese Name and not the company name I purchased from. Then I researched the company and discovered the physical address and phone number on the website was FAKE! I immediately notified PayPal and they did absolutely nothing! I went to the Better Business Bureau website which showed this address has been used for many fake websites. I never received my item and was sent a cheap face mask just like all the other victims stated on BBB website. PayPal delayed me for 45 days and finally said to contact my bank! Whats the point of using PayPal at all? If PayPal was going to enable this scammer they could have at least advised me to contact my card issuer! PayPal is officially worthless!

No customer service

Paypal has been fine for the many years we have had an account. The accounting was accurate and the site was easy to use. As soon as you have a problem, however, you discover that customer service is nonexistent. I have made many phone calls and can never get through to a person. Right now I am fighting a fraudulent transaction. They closed my dispute in a matter of hours, leaving me no advice as to how to appeal. There is no phone contact. There is no live chat. There is only their website, with its circular references. It is very disheartening. When and if I get my complaint resolved, I am closing my account.

After filIng a dispute with PayPal for a fraud transaction, After four week they sent me a stupid email that they can't see where the problem was.

Since there is no other way to contact PayPal, this is my response to your company.
Unbelievable! I filed a dispute that explained how I was scammed, providing you with all the details of the scam and you denied my claim because I authorized the payment. SO, everyone, your bank account is not protect by PayPal, watch out. Your website to file a dispute sucks and designed to give a hard time to your customers. You didn't just reject my claim you let a fraud happened disregarding all the evidence I provided you. Your customer service sucks, no one to answer the phone and no one to talk to. I don't need your support or your investigation as I doubt you have any employees with such valid skills. Thank God my bank was there to support me and I will never deal with you as you let fraudulent purchase to slide through. I am so disgusted that my account was not safe with you. So, NEVER CONTACT ME AGAIN AND IT WAS NO PLEASURE DOING BUSINESS WITH YOU. PLEASE DONT SEND STUPID EMAILS SUCH AS THE ONE YOU SENT ME LAST NIGHT 1:00 am TO COVER YOU NEGLENECE, I work hard for my money. Don't contact me in any way. Thanks for nothing

Two bad charges and no correction and no human contact. Charges automatically accepted even though I never did business with the charging company. First charge was then canceled through my credit card company, including a cancelation of the card number for fraud. The 2nd charge was for an undelivered package from China. After months of delays and stupid repeating questions they said they would be providing a refund. Wasn't worth the time and efforts but I went for the principal. I expect worse outcomes once they complete their new alliance with China.

If you have a dispute, there is no customer service you can talk to. They denied my case over the website because it shows the item was delivered. But it was delivered to the wrong address and they failed to see it twice. And there is no customer service representative that you can talk to. From now on, I will not use Paypal. I get much better protection from my credit card.

Legal thieves?

Be careful if you buy something in foreign currency! If the item doesn't arrive and you will get your money refunded it will be less, due to different rate of converting it back!
Happened to me on several occasions, what I got back was some 8 percent less to what I originally paid! I didn't get my item and less money back! Money down the drain! When contacted paypal, they are just going in circles without actually helping or caring, in their mind there is nothing wrong when a buyer loses their money for nothing! They should credit me the rate difference!

I won't be touching paypal/ ebay with a barge pole in the future, will be closing my account and will take my business elsewhere!

Paypal is by far the worst licenced money thief. Even worse is that one cannot speak to a living human being ever. The $#*!ed up computerised prefabricated answers are farfetched and ridiculous. It refunds idiot customers that supply ZERO evidence on complains. It never protects any seller. The stupid ceo is as unreachable as the stupid emoji resoinding to online complaints. Take good advice today. Paypal is $#*!ing doomed. Move ur biz to transferwise

I've used and trusted PayPal for years but my trust was misplaced.

On June 9,2020, I placed an online order for a webcam. It never came. When I went back to the vendor's website, I tried to contact them via phone. The number shown goes unanswered. When I attempted to reach them via email, it bounced back as undeliverable. PayPal then gave me another email address and that too bounced back. The U.S. Postal Service has confirmed that the tracking number the vendor provided was also bogus.

When I went through PayPal's Resolution Center seeking a credit, I was told to give the order more time to arrive. My expectation was that I would receive a credit and PayPal would discontinue its service to this vendor. Instead, when I followed up with PayPal and provided additional details, my claim was denied within minutes of being submitted.

PayPal's Resolution Center is a joke and my trust for them has been lost. Whereas I was once a big promotor of PayPal, I can no longer recommend them.

On May 12,2020 my wife ordered 2 Shark Cordless vacuum cleaners from Liu Ziye, a Chinese company, for $111. She paid with PayPal. The vacuums were purportedly sent by Chinese mail and then by USPS mail once in the United States. I tracked the items and discovered the items were delivered to us on the day specified; and according to our local post office personnel, the item (not items) was left in our mail box. Our mail box is located on the road in front of our house not on our front porch where packages are left if too large for the mail box. The only items we received from China on that day were 2 face masks which we did not order. I contacted the seller at the email address provided by PayPal. In return I received the same tracking number that was on PayPal without any further comment. My wife appealed to PayPal for a refund. She furnished PayPal with all available documentation. After 6 weeks she was informed via PayPal web site her appeal was denied. We are out $111 without any reasonable explanation and appeals are not permitted. PayPal did not follow-up with a phone call to our local post office to verify what my wife provided to them. Why?

They scammed me by saying I need proof of delivery for every item and i will be fine, however when my buyer tried to scam me by charging back the money, they said its not enough proof (its literally 100% proof) :D paypal is a scam. Do not use it for the sake of your money

I made purchase from two different company. But the item received from them were absolutely opposite to the item they previously described in their advertisement. So I open dispute with paypal. But I was not satisfied with their decision and tried to contact customer service but every time they disconnect with the reason that no customer service is available even calling them in the morning hours before 8am & they simply advised to send message. Their message center is computer generated and every response comes with computer and their is no option to lay our view and complaints. So finally I give off my claim and closed my paypal account and I will never ever use PAYPAL in my life. The company I linked seems fraud. The Contact Information of both Company are "*******@gmail.com" and " *******@vipservice.com".

1. One local thin frying pan received in place of 10 pieces of reevole clearance sale.
2. A pair of toiletry bags received in place of one shopping chart.

This company has THE WORST customer service I have ever dealt with in my life! Not only are they unavailable, you can NOT reach PayPal in the US via email, messaging, or calling. All of the number's listed are "non-working numbers". I requested for my PayPal balance to be instantly transferred to my credit union, at first, it claimed to have been submitted/completed, only then to be followed with a denial? I have never ran into any issues/problems with doing this before now and nothing has changed on my account information? Not only did they deny it, they have also wiped my account clean, with a zero balance. I will no longer use this company! They have no customer service agents working and they refuse to respond to your inquiry! Horrible, horrible, horrible experience with this company! I do not recommend! I will now use Venmo from this day forward!

I read a number of their reviews before I wrote this one and it appears PayPal may operate in alternate universes. WOW, who knew! To a certain extent, it appears depending on how you use PayPal, you may or may not have a good experience. As a purchaser, mine could not have been better. Using PayPal, I recently made two purchases, from separate companies, one for $450 and one for $30. In each instance, I didn't receive the merchandise. I contacted PayPal and approximately 3-4 weeks later the full amount was credited to my checking account. No proof required; easy-peasy! That said, not being able to speak with someone when there's a problem can be extremely annoying.

On July 6 I submitted a $200 payment to my sister that was needed for an emergent issue. Still to this date of July 18 she has yet to receive her payment plus unbeknownst to me PayPal charged me seven dollars for this transaction. The remaining balance is still on hold and I've had to take money to her personally. I expect a full refund or you need to release the fees immediately to her PayPal account this is absolutely asinine and ridiculous and very unprofessional I have more than a Enough money in my personal account to which this is linked to cover that times 10! I further wish to voice my complaints as the past two purchases that I've done via PayPal have both resulted in a 30 to 45 day delay in receiving of my purchased items I am deleting PayPal after this final transaction goes through and I'll give you an absolute rating of one I don't recommend PayPal for anybody.! I would furthermore give a referral and recommendation to Venmo who takes care of their clients quick fast and without delay of payment.

Paypal has with Amazon the absolute worst customer service I've ever seen. I've been an user for 3 years, went good for the first 2 years, then when I had my first problem with getting refund from a seller, Paypal ignored my 10 times requests to get help on the process, because it was using the Ebay Guarantee so not the usual way. Also by not having direct international competitors, they are with their monopoly abusing tax charges, for example if you as a seller on Ebay refunds a buyer for any reason, you get penalized as the initial Paypal's tax fee isn't included in the refund, so you have to pay on top of the refunded amount. Another example of abuse from them is the terrible currency conversion rate, seriously the same level as scammers in the street of any major cities around the world. And this poor rate is not justified, Revolut for example proves it. Seriously this is the perfect example of "What happens when a company has the monopoly". The others cashless ways are ridiculous & not even comparable to this. Another useless review for the worst company I've ever used its services.
