Scammed or ripped off!

I have used PayPal to send money to someone in the past and had no problems. Unfortunately, this is not the case today! I sent $400 to someone and the next day my bank account showed PayPal debited my account twice and therefore my account was overdrawn, and my bank charged me an overdraft fee! I have tried contacting PayPal by phone and website to no avail! My bank has given me a temporary credit but I have to fill out a form and hope they don't reverse the credit! Very upsetting to say the least! Not sure if my PayPal account was compromised or was it there mistake?

Despite its rep for protecting people when shopping online, Paypal is just cannot do it. Because of past buyers using Paypal to scam them, they have now favor the sellers vs the buyers when it comes to scams. Apple and Google pay apps does a better job at protecting you from scams.

We are done with PayPal

We are done with Paypal and will reverse the charges via Visa. To pay to ship a junk product back to China is wrong. The Paypal resolution website is clumsy, unintuitive, leaves no way to communicate back to a human and takes months. A very frustrating experience to be avoided.

Money was sent to me and now after requesting if that I sent and bank statement that I had to screen shot because my online banking will not mail statements still was not Good enough. The gas money sent to us still on hold. After 2 nights in my car I finally got gas money through Western Union. PayPal is a sad excuse for a company. They are thieves and liar's!

I have had 2 instances over the last several months where I have not received the merchandise. I turned the complaint over to Paypal over a month ago. I am still waiting for a refund. Be aware. Their customer service sucks.

I ordered a 6 and a half practice putting mat thru a company located in China. After a long wait, I contacted the seller expressing my concern for no shipment and the fact that the web site was no longer active. I told the seller that if I did not hear back from them, I would escalate my complaint to PayPal. I notified PayPal latter that day as a precaution. The seller sent me tracking information the next day. After months of waiting, I received a pair of sunglasses and a case. I contacted the seller, wanting either the correct shipment, or a full refund. I was offered a full refund once I had returned the sunglasses and case and I must send it with a tacking number. The cost of return shipping was expected to be borne by me alone. The cost of this would actually be more than what I paid in the first place. I contacted PayPal and after weeks and weeks of waiting, they just decided that I would need to cover the cost of the return shipping as the seller demanded. The seller purposely sold me an item that they had no intention of sending and instead sent the wrong item. This is fraud and PayPal is complicate. I have cancelled my PayPal account and will NEVER use them again for anything. I would advise anyone considering using PayPal not to, they are only about making money and do not give 2 $#*!s about the consumers.

I am having a problem over $71.86 with PayPal. I have been arguing with PayPal online since mid-May, 2020. I ordered a no-touch thermometer that was supposed to be Fahrenheit but got one that only did Celsius. I have sent over 20 files of documentation and pictures and probably a hundred messages to prove I sent the thermometer back to the seller in China. Chinese Customs has had it held up since June 30th and it is now Sept. 27th. The seller even sent me an email saying he would pay me back, but he did not. Every time I message PayPal I get a different person responding. Each one seems completely blind to what has gone on before. I will NEVER use PayPal again and I hope everyone who reads this will do the same and pass it on to your friends. I am also boycotting companies that force your transactions through PayPal.

Paypal should never be used

Paypal is the worst thing to use to purchase an item. Their website is incredibly complicated and impossible to use. They will rip you off and not be bothered at all about it. I purchased an item but after weeks of waiting I had still not received it so asked to cancel and get a full refund. I got my refund but paypal say that I owe them money and they put a debt collector on to me so I had to pay the money. They manipulated my account and changed the details without my knowledge or permission so they could get money out of me. They do not respond to disputes and they cancel cases so you cannot keep a dispute going. I am now out of pocket because of them with nothing to show for it. DO NOT TOUCH PAYPAL WITH A BARGEPOLE becasue they will rip you off.

So much bs

I've had a paypal account for over 10 years and never had a problem. I signed up for the Cash card a few months ago and signed for direct deposit to get my SSI sent to it. The Cash card is hosted by Wells Fargo but issued by Bancorp. They advertise that you get your pay up to 2 days earlier than traditional banks. I was like cool! Their disclosure also says there is no minimum balance and practically no fees. The only fees are non Moneypass Atm's. My problem started when I sent paypal a message on their facebook page. I was told to call a number, which I found is not for the Cash card and that the first deposit would be held for 1-2 pay periods and then was told an addition 3-5 business days. I even called them and was told the same thing! 1-2 pay periods for ssi is 1-2 months. My family and I will be homeless by then, as I'm the only income currently. I made a complaint with the CFPB. The terms for the Cash card don't match what they told me at all! I'm switching to a different financial institution for my direct deposit. We'll be homeless by then but at least I won't have to deal with this again. I posted a comment on on of their posts and they threatened to block me if I keep it up. I only made one comment. Do not use pay pal! They are helping companies from China scam people! You order something thinking it's ok because you are using pay pal. They send you some piece of crap instead. When you try and get a refund they want you to send it back to China giving you some crazy $#*! address to send it to. Costing you the same as the product you bought. Just to have the company refuse delivery. Even though pay pal advertises a product protection plan where they say they will reimburse you for incidence like this... then they don't. Plus it is impossible to get a hold of anyone at PayPal. They must be getting kickbacks from these companies. Such a scam. I will never ever use pay pal again.

1st time, i had a paypal account. Took forever to get a refund on a product that was never received. 2nd time i checked out as a guest. No one will give me a refund on product that again has not been received!

Paypal isn't a company to trust and do business. I purchased a item in a US site and unfortunately selected paypal as payment method. The item is marked as $329 US dollars. I paid in my US dollar credit card. However paypal charged me in Canadian dollars. Finally I was charged $359 US dollars due to currency converting. I tried call Paypal. There is no person but just machine. After so many tries, I finally get someone to talk. But they refuse to do anything to fix their mistake. It is a nightmare to do business with Paypal. If is not worthy the trouble. I close my Paypal account. Please do yourself a favor, never, never do any business with Paypal!

PayPal claim (Case ID PP-D-*******) Please REVIEW my Appeal.

I'm Merchant. PayPal didn't investigate the disputes and refund the money to the buyer. My buyer received FREE Products and GET A FULL REFUND. I LOST MY PRODUCTS AND SHIPPING FEES.

* I appealed 4 times but no one responds to me.

Now I wonder why a lot of big companies stopped using PayPal.

Change to STRIPE will be better.

So I had to send my brother $300 and misspelled his email address and it still says pending under my Acct, the crazy thing is I sent another $300 to his correct email and it went through but they are not refunding my first transaction, I forgot to add an S at the end of his email on the first transaction and it never went through and still says pending under my Acct and the refuse to refund my $300, I explained to them multiple times and provide my brothers contact info to verify and still no word from PayPal, I wish nothing but bad things for this company I'm the future!
One of the most frustrating thing I have to go though to get MY money back.
Do not open an account with them or any types of transactions. Buyer beware.
I'm adding a photo below to show you the 2 transactions and the one that still says pending cause no one claimed the $ cause I misspelled the email I was sending it to!

I purchased an 11 piece cookware set for $30 online from a Company stated to be based out of the UK using Paypal. I received a pair of nail clippers from China that I could have purchased at my local pharmacy for $3. When I contacted the company to state that the incorrect item had been sent, I was offered a 50%, then 25% then 75% discount to keep the clippers - an item not even listed for sale on their website - and the item I purchased was not offered. I contacted Paypal to dispute the transaction as a scam. Paypal told me the only way to get a refund was to file a claim with the US Governments Online Fraud team (which I did and provided proof) and to mail the clippers back to china (approx. $20 fee). When I questioned why Paypal states that I should pay approx. $10 to have an incorrect item sent to me I received no adequate response and my case was closed with no refund.

I received an email saying that PayPal has given me a 1000 JPY coupon to use before 9/24, I followed the procedure logging into my account to receive the coupon, but when I actually went shopping online and chose the "PayPal" option, they took money directly from my credit card! I tried calling customer service during business hours, but they hung up on me TWICE. Then the coupon was gone and my credit card bill was charged, so I suspect fraud with my account and closed it. NEVER USE PAYPAL if you can avoid, especially if you're in Japan.

The stupidest app, I've ever seen! So freaking you cant access your account on your phone while you access it on browser easily. On phone it says incorrect password. And its help center is so dump! You cant write your issue! DAMN, i did NOT forget my password, just $#*!ing your stupid mobile version cant read it! Wtf? 0 star

If I could give less of a point system then 1 I would. A customer wanted to pay me via PayPal for a job I completed today. I just recently got PayPal to send a friend money a couple months back. So anyhow customer and I standing in her doorway at end of day, work completed. She provided me the email and I requested payment, she got email and sent payment. Driving home checked the app. Says funds will not be transferred for 21 days! Also charges of $46.70 on a single day project and total of $1600. Pissed I immediately did a refund in which they took the fee out of her refund. Refund for what? There was no transaction. Couldn't get any customer service number or response from the message center. Screw that I'm out!

I purchased a big organizer and the seller sent me a little jewelry case nothing as advertised. I contact paypal and these mf had the nerve to deny my case. I don't understand how hard it is to see what they (paypal)advertised. I sent pictures of what I was supposed to get and what I actually got and clearly it was not what was shipped. I'm so mad right now! Oh that is after paypal dragged it out for 3 damn months. Sorry $#*!!
