PayPal does NOT cover u if u r scammed! If their is a tracking number for the order and it says the order was delivered, that's good enough for them! The buyer gets screwed! No investigation, that's the end of it, even though the buyer didn't get what they paid for and the post office says the tracking # isn't for your address none of that matters
Don't use venmo! They canceled my card without my consent leaving me stranded out of my home town. WORST EVER!
PayPal is barely functional these days. I've used the platform for ~20 years and probably pushed ~$20 million through it in that time. For my new business, a brand new account was instantly perma-banned. The message also threatens to take all my funds... can you imagine if I'd actually started using this account? Staff were only able to produce irrelevant templated replies stating that "all decisions are final". I'm still not convinced that a human was involved in that process. These practices would run any traditional bank out of business. For PayPal, that process may be slower, but looks inevitable. You can't express this level of contempt for your customers and stay in business.
I'm not sure if this is the company or just the agent who deserves this one star rating... but I ordered from a company who didn't include my apartment number when shipping my package so it was never delivered to me. It was confirmed by FedEx. After no success with the company in regards to my refund, I decided to contact PayPal, whom I paid the company through them. I specifically said on the complaint that the shipper did not include my apartment number... well, I got a response email back from PayPal that said they were siding with the shipper because they were able to provide a tracking number... I never said the company didn't ship the product, I said they didn't include my apartment number and the product was never delivered to me! So i lost my money and didnt get merchandise. After believing the lie the shipper told them, the agent never contacted me, my claim was closed and once a decision is made, its over... you cant appeal it to paypal. PayPal/agent doesn't really seem to do a thorough investigation and seems to side with the shipper! If they had, I firmly believe that I would have gotten my refund. Needless to say, I deleted my PayPal account!
Horrible customer service. This department is sent to over seas (out of USA) who barely speaks English and does not allow escalation for an IT issue.
We pretty much quit using PayPal last year, shortly after EBay bought them and they started jockeying their pricing and rules.
They took a payment and have been sitting on it for two-months based on a customer claim that they did not receive the merchandise. Sent evidence where the individual did receive the merchandise and attended a class, then they chose not to come back.
We will NOT use PP nor EBay in the future.
Tried for 4 days to reach a human being. I thought all purchases were on 4 pay. They charged me a late charge on a late charge. Trying to get information is horrible. I use Paypal a lot because I do like the Ebay guarantee of purchase when using Paypal. They are maybe the most deceptive company I have ever dealt with.
For some reason they restricted my account and asked for documents to prove it wad me I sent them in they closed my account with no reason.
Paypal Sucks! They took my money twice, I payed them through my Paypal Balance and they still turned around the next day and charged my debit card. I called them 3 times and they keep hanging up on me, I tried a dispute and it keep saying error. It will not accept it I even sent them a message and they still haven't answered me back smh Paypal is the WORST! They don't wanna give back my money!
The staff in any dept. be it transactions, disputes, etc... each one of them tells you a lie. You receive transactions and it takes 34 days to have it available... it does not coincide with the 21 days that the first person picked you up. You print the activity sheet and there are dates that in reality are a lie. The call is cut off and you ask the agent if he will call you back if it is cut off, lie! No one calls you back. You have to explain the song 350 times until after these 34 days you reach the conclusion... How useless it is to waste time with ungrateful companies. I DO NOT RECOMMEND PAYPAL TO ANYONE... what's more, right now I am unsubscribing!

Trying to subscribe to last.fm but with no success. Tried everything from unchecking website payment blocking to upgrading to a business account, my email and bank account are verified and I have 5 dollars in my wallet, enough to make a 3 dollar purchase, honestly pathetic

I tried didn't my own PayPal account to my Microsoft account. It got flagged, and they limited access without contacting me. The only way to restore access was to change my password, which was a huge inconvenience. They didn't care that I gave them all of the security information they needed, and I passed their security screening.
I use to use PayPal till they changed now they steal your money, an give double talk to make it sound like their in the right.
I will never use PayPal again for taking my money
PayPal is a vital tool for me so I'm thankful for it. However, the design and security tinkering over the last two years has given no improvements at all. Firstly the new telephone alert simply to log is happening every day. It's simply too much. Then the design overhaul seems to come from a department that's making changes that are not well thought out. When I want to check last year's payments I have to shrink the screen of my 14'' lap top down to 68pc simply to allow it to function.
Stay away from PayPal. I paid for an item with them, a fairly expensive one. When I found out that the item was not available with the vendor at all, I canceled the purchase. However, PayPal allowed the transaction to go through.
A refund was made, however, because it was an international transaction, the amount refunded in £ was less than what I paid by £60!
PayPal pocketed the money and gave me the following feedback, concluding that it was ok to pay that money for something i never received:

I understand that there is a different amount of the transaction that you receive. The reason why is because the currency conversion is changing from time to time and once you process a refund and the value changed we are following the update currency value in our system.

After using paypal since 2009, all of a sudden they are asking me for personal information-bank statements, bills, etc. When I refused, they limited my account and I could not use it. I tried to close the account and they told me that unless I provide all of my personal info, they can't close my account. How stupid is that!? Their customer service reps are stupid and rude. DO NOT USE PAYPAL FOR ANYTHING!
PayPal holds the money being sent randomly. A client who is not selling anything all of a sudden is unable to withdraw because PayPal tags it as "payment for service or item" and several steps have to be taken in order to solve the issue. However, with the steps come several hiccups. For example, it asks the receiver to log in using the computer. When you do, it takes you to the phone verification which never sends text messages and only takes you to a dead end. Next, they don't give instructions to the sender on how to "CONFIRM" receipt of "item" or service. Worse, sender is unable to locate the CONFIRM button. PayPal will only release after payment is confirmed. This issue happens on a monthly basis. Customer support is pretty much non-existent too. Very frustrating to say the least.
PayPal fees are exorbitant…. Customer service nonexistent and just recently realized I was being scammed and PayPal was right there in the thick of it…. Closed my account…good riddance
When I realised that Wowcher had my money, but appeared to have no intention to supply what I had ordered, I contacted Paypal who were absolutely brilliant! Instant response and my cash was back in my account in no time at all. DON'T PAY ANY OTHER WAY!

I bought an item that was totally wrong, advertised as "handmade, hand quilted, made of brushed Kona cotton", picture was beautiful with wonderful quilting and vibrant colors and I was buying from a company from Texas. I received an item from Texas, not handmade, not hand quilted, not vibrant colors, not brushed cotton and it was just a picture printed on cheap polyester/nylon fabric. Hideous. I paid $99.90. Company first offered to refund $30, nope, still way too expensive for a cheap quilt that I wouldn't even use for my pets. Then said if I return the "quilt" to China at my expense they would refund the money. Cost to return? $70. Paypal agreed with this company, denied my claim and I'm sitting here with something I would feel cheated if I paid $10. Paypal is not the company it once was. Use your credit card as that company will have your back. Looking to see what a better option is than Paypal. 20 year customer and I'm done. I do not think anyone actually reads our messages to Paypal.

Answer: USPS delievered it to the wrong address my pacakge was supposed to be delievered too 35710 Bay Morgan Ln, Fallbrook, CA 92028 when USPS delivered it to an address simillar to this one 12354 Alcatal Street (do not know the exact address since they did not email me, but you can call USPS and ask, and that is how I found out) Fallbrook, CA 92028, right city and zip code, far away address.
Answer: I'm thinking someone has to work there, if you send messages you will get a canned reply, I get the same response from 10 messages, basically "suck it up buttercup, you have just been played" but if you try to actually talk to a person good luck.
