Do NOT use Paypal. They use scripted excuses to hold funds for up to 21 days with no validity to their reasoning. In this day and age, how dare they hold peoples' money in order to gain profits using huge amounts for investments. I am very saddened by their practices -- when you read other reviews there are statements like "I now have no rent money!" Hope you enjoy your greed while it lasts; at some point there will be another app and you will then wonder what happened. I will NEVER use you again.

PS. Below you ask for proof of purchase. This experience wasn't even a purchase or a sale. I was merely receiving funds from a client for a construction project. Paypal placed a hold for 21 days! No care whatsoever about my circumstances or the fact that my workers would not receive their pay checks. Again... SHAME on you Paypal!

Every item I sell I now have to wait 21 days to get funds…even then still had to call to get them to manually release payment. Meaning you now have to ship items out of pocket. Not only that but you pay them fees to hold your money, there's never any reasoning and I've sold with them for years, making them thousands in the process. After this transaction clears I will be deleting my account for good and finding another service.

A must have

I've been with paypal since around 2005 and was and still use it for a variety of payment methods and deposits with my online activities sending and recieving money. PayPal offers a an instant bank account with options for debit and credit cards, and Business cards. All can be used online and offline. I've had the business debit card and I currently have the debit card. My wallet has all of my other debit cards as well. I trust PayPal and customer service is phenomenal as well as honesty. A most recent purchase online spiralled into the merchant trying to bill me for large amount. I got a new debit card sent quickly. Luckily no charges went through, and if they had, PayPal would have refunded me due to fraud by seller. I have in the past ran into similar situations and PayPal has always resolved the issue with positive results to me. PayPal is innovative and a necessity. Very diverse ways to use.

Feels like a scam

I've been watching videos on huuuge tube and cash out 500 and they said that it would be here shortly that was 2 days ago so yeah this app is not worth it sorry but I've been waiting and waiting for the money to go on my PayPal and it hasn't yet I have not received any money from the games I played except just play games

Terrible company

After my account was frauded and deleted I was told to simply start a new account. All payments since then that have been sent to me have been withheld. This company is stealing or withholding money from its users. 12 hours of phone conversations to their call center which is clearly not based in the USA has given me nothing but headaches and zero return on my funds.

Like always useless customer support when you just tell them you are useless and non helpful they try to lock your account temporary or suspended it and steal your money or refunds

Sold an item to a person and used PayPal for payment. The customer said they received package and called PayPal to release the funds. PayPal said it will take up to 21 days since I was a first time seller, even though the customer called and told them to release the funds. Do not use PayPal, not only did they they take a fee but now are withholding my money. They suck and we may have to take them to small claims court to get our money owed us.

Paypal are now controlled by scammers as this has been there only way of luring people to make transactions with them and paypal will blame you for it. Do not use them cos if care is not taken, your money will be rip off. This is what they did to me until i have them reported and took legal actions on them, afterwards i was able to get back my funds

Been dealing with paypal for about two years
It is getting worse and they ARE scaming people out of money andvgetting refunds from othet scams they participate in for their own profit
Customer service sucks and do not care about the people that buy thru them

They frooze an amount of 200 euros for 3 weeks because somebody send it to me? Every time I want to send an amount of 50 euros I have so much security checks I drives me nuts. So I do not see the point anymore because easy and fast is not what I call Paypall. I am already trying a week to clear my account! Avoid Paypall at all costs!

Horrible

I have been using PayPal in Calif for purchases in the world for 19 years. I spend a lot of time in Brazil, But I am a US citizen and my accounts are in the US. I was sending a large amount of money from an inheritance to my Daughter and Son-in-law and PayPal stopped the transaction, closed my account and are holding the money for 180 days. It has been 15 days since they did this and I have no explanation from them yet. As far as I am concerned this is fraud.

Thieves

I used them to purchase a vacation. The reservation was canceled and refunded. Paypal won't give me the money back even though they were retuned the money from the reservation company! I have been trying for 2 months now!

Absolutely worst

They literally charged 160.00 for a transaction that is now on hold for 10 days. Worst decision to use it. I'm going to my bank to have them add the ability for my business to take credit card payments. Do not use PayPal, if I would have know they were going to do this. I would of told customer to write a check. This ridiculous. Not good for small business.

I was so naïve when I opened an account with PayPal. I surrendered bank account and debit cards access to them. Now I want to close the account and they want me to provide more personal info so they can close it. That is a plain fraud. I don't owe them anything. They insist that I must provide them more financial info to be able to close. I will not provide extra information. I don't trust them with my information and money. I will go to the bank and close the bank account. Very unethical organization.

NEVER AGAIN! EVER!

They only receive ONE star because I wanted to write a review. This is the 3rd week I've been trying to delete my account, and it STILL hasn't happened yet. From putting in requests with Tech Support, to Supervisors, to Updates, today it was check with Venmo, and it still is NOT CLOSED! I WILL NEVER OPEN/USE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT AGAIN! EVER! I was scammed and NO thanks to PayPal, I didn't even get help with that. CSR are a joke and all they do is LIE AND MAKE EXCUSES! So, use this app if you want, but when you're done, you won't be able to close it because THEY won't close it, they will only 'LOCK' it. It's BULLCRAP AND IM SICK OF THEM! CONSIDER YOURSELVES WARNED! 3 WEEKS AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE!

Poor customer service

The first time I used PayPal I had bought a product online and I found out the company had many bad reviews and PayPal gave me my money back the day I complained and I thought they were wonderful. But since then I've had several companies that do not send the product on time or I find out the truth on the product because the company posted false reviews and first I try to get my money from the company and get a run around so then I go to PayPal and tell them the problem and they usually tell me to file a claim with the company which I have already tried or they too give me the run around. If you look at PayPal website they have almost all good reviews but other reviews through other sources show they are very poor. They seem to cater to these companies that scam our money so I would not recommend them for any reason. I have better luck dealing directly with my credit card company.

They will lock out of your account and then there is NO way to get it opened but CALL them (yeah, its 2022, yet you have to CALL them and wait hours on a "helpline" to get to a human who will solve your issue 10% of the time!

I used PayPal on my Raverly site for payments to my written crochet patterns. After making 2 sales, PayPal locked my account due to "unusual activity" (still have no idea what they were talking about). I submitted all the documents they asked for, waiting multiple days (after they said it would only take one) and talked with 4 different people to try and solve the issue. Three of those people just closed the chat without doing a damn thing. The fourth said he would escalate my case, but the next day my account was completely locked. So after submitting all the documents MULTIPLE TIMES they still shut down my account WITH MY MONEY INSIDE. I lost out on pattern sales and literally lost some of my money. STICK WITH VENMO.

No longer reliable

PayPal used to provide protection to buyers but it doesn't anymore. Twice now I have been scammed and fake sellers have provided PayPal with fake tracking and PayPal told me the seller provided tracking and proof my item was delivered and would not refund my money. The first time I lost $99. The second time I lost $48. I closed my account. Do not use PayPal unless u know the retailer.
