Needed a key blank for my new to me 35 year old Honda motorcycle. I choose them because their website allowed you to put in vehicle info/VIN and it would show you what fit. It returned two part numbers with nearly identical descriptions so I figured they just must be different style keys so I picked the first. When I received the key blank it was a mirror image of what I needed, groves on wrong side. I emailed them and asked for assistance. After several not very helpful emails back and forth of them saying, yup, that key is one of two we show fitting your bike, they finally identified that the other key (the one I didn't choose) was the one I needed. I asked if I could return and swap out my unopened key for the right one. They said no, you must return the key you have with a 15% restocking fee and then you can order the right one. Their policy states that there is no restocking fee if the website was in error about fitment so I asked them if that is so, why are you charging me a fee. Their response: "Because our website offered you at least one item that fits, it's not our fault you selected the wrongly offered part over the correct one, you should have called sales tech support before you ordered". Told them forget it, I will just throw the key away and buy one elsewhere, thanks.
I called in on Friday to order a part for overnight. Customer service associate said, "sure, that overnight will be $35." I paid and then arranged for my mechanic and shop time. Come to find out, no, the shipment will not arrive overnight, I had to be a shipping expert and know that Saturday shipment is a completely different thing and the associate did not bother to tell me that. I called back on Saturday to explain the situation, ask for a refund for my overnight charge that was not actually overnight-- and asked how requesting "overnight" means 3 days later-- they said I can go suck it basically. Partzilla are crumby dishonest jerks.
I ordered a "gear" for my Great-grandson's dirt bike. Website says it was in stock... paid for it... however 3 charges were taken out of my bank account. I called customer service the next morning... they reversed 2 of the charges. Order was supposed to be "available for shipping 0n 4/4/... I contacted customer service on 4/6, because it had not shipped... I was informed "their dist. Put a "no date available for shipping" was entered into their system and I would be "getting an e-mail letting me know when it would be available to ship". Well, NOBODY had notified me that the part was "backordered"... I called today, asking for an update... still no "availability date available". I cancelled the order... she said nothing about charging for cancelling. I wish I had read more "reviews" for this company. Very sad, having to tell my Great-grandson this story, because of a company that does not have the forthcoming to say "out of stock" if it was out of stock... or "backordered" and let you have the choice of whether you wanted to wait an indefinite time for delivery. The first customer service lady I talked to about the triple charge... was very nice... I had refund in 2 business days.

Everything i ordered was in stock until i paid, then immediatly got an email saying everything was back ordered. 15% fee for canceling order. Almost two weeks and parts have not shipped.
They don't have parts in stock when they say they do. So shipping is always delayed. When they do ship a part is likely to be left out. If they say they have a part and don't really have it, they hold your whole order until they get it or you have to pay shipping for both. They're a bit cheaper but don't use them!
I live in Perth, Western Australia. Check that out for delivery distance. Partzilla has never failed to send an item and always keeps me informed when they have to chase a part down... jeez some of my orders are for 50 year old bikes and i can still get bits n bobs. Most the time they are cheaper than the second hand junk found on another very big global sales provider. Be patient and it will arrive.

They claim 1-3 days shipping as I paid expedited shipping and its been a week and they say i should get it in 4 more days. They know people will choose them over the others because the adverted shipping speed. I fell for it. I will not shop with them again. I picked them over the dealership because of speed not cost.
I have been reading these reviews and don't understand how I have NEVER had any issues with Partzilla. My only complaint is when I ordered an OEM Polaris part, they didn't have it in stock and had to wait for Polaris to ship it to them, and they never told me about a delay. However, now that I know that they don't stock ALL Polaris OEM parts, I understand. Any time I have emailed them with a question, they have always gotten back to me within a day. All parts I have ordered that have been in stock have taken three days from order to shipped to my front porch. I don't understand all the negative reviews. They are still, mostly, cheaper on most parts than other stores/websites.
So, 30 days after I placed the order online I get an email stating my items have shipped. THIRTY freaking days! Now I'm waiting to see if they got the order right. This will be my last order with these people,,,
I ordered a battery for my ATV and the order confirmation indicated it would be shipped in 2 days. After 4 days I checked and it was now back ordered. I inquired and after a 2-day delay, they replied that they had no ETA. I requested a firm ETA or a refund and they then said that the original order was "lost" and that they had to reorder and that it would be 5-7 days before they got the battery then they would have to ship it to me. I canceled the order for a refund. Save yourself the grief and spend the few extra $$ to get the part from a reputable source, the story kept changing which to me indicates they are not a trustworthy supplier.
Ordered part from them and received different item. I called them to return. They were arrogant and unproffessional laying the blame on my ordering the wrong part. Luckily I had taken a screen shot of the order and there incorrect parts layout. They treated me with suspicion until I offered to send it to them. When they received it they decided to issue a refund but were going to still charge me a 15% restock fee. What!? Because of their mistake I have to pay? I again made my case and after lengthy lectures of their infalability and posturing on their part I got them to waive it. Guess they get the last laugh because they still charged me shipping as it originally qaulified for a free shipping because of other parts I ordered with it. So Im still out $20 bucks because of their mistake and screwy system. If this sounds like fun to you, order away. Me I'll be giving my business to companies that value the customer and their FUTURE business.
Have ordered through them for many years and spent lots of $$$$. Last three orders there as been an issue and I've had to contact customer service multiple times. Every time I was lied to. From claiming my order would arrive next day, they lost the order and even promise to overnight replacement order but never did. Would get a different response from every time I had to contact them.
Not sure why they have gone down hill but time to use other competitors.
Typical Partzilla story: Ordered part with promise that it would ship in a few days and received no updates after two weeks. I had to call up the company to get a customer service rep to email me an invoice with the ACTUAL information for my order and was hung up on (in the middle of asking a question) immediately after confirming that I'd received the email.
All in all, they're uncommunicative, horribly disorganized, rude, unreliable and I feel like an idiot for ever giving them a chance. This is one company that truly deserves to fail.
Ordered ten bolts (yes, just ten) for my bike as they were not available locally. Website states all pasrts in stock and shipped within 48 hrs. International delivery typically ten days. Great, definitely have them in time. No problem. Order.
Time is ticking on, other orders placed around the same time arrive from the USA - rear shock, master cyclinder, etc Still no bolts. (I'm doing a suspension swap on my bike prior to a three week ride).
Check out the tracking and the parts still havent been shipped. Parts are finally shipped 9 days after the order. Given ten days delivery they'll still get here on time.
Its now two days before I leave and the tracking shows the parts have only just left the US. Contact partzilla and they provide no reason for the delay in shipping just that USPS service can take up to 4 weeks. First time this has ever been mentioned. I ordered based on an expectated arrival date (calculated based on the information provided on their website) of approximately 12-14 days. Partzilla are now stating in reality this could be as much as 37 days?!
Why is it that Partzilla think it is appropriate to mislead paying customers and then provide a horribly lazy service? It seems i am not unique in this experince. Regrettably I should have checked out some reviews before ordering. Properly burnt by this. Bunch of jaokers and charalatans.
Do not order from these guys unless you like crappy service and poor customer service. Doesnt seem like there is any avenue of recourse. Massively disappointing
I've gotten stuff from China faster than these jokers in GA... its it's like the DMV of retail. If George Carlin was still alive O would track him down and ask him to do a skit on this place
Paid extra for 2 day shipping and these jokers want to wait 3 day to ship it that is unaccetible. My part was expected to arrive fri. So I could ride this week end, Nope thanks alot. That will be my first and last time ordering from these people and any one thinking about odering should look else where if you dont want them to ruin your plans. Wish i had checked the rest of the reviews before ording i would have know what to expect every one says the same thing
Orded a part online stated instock. 4 weeks later they tell me they dont stock the part and will take another 2 months. I have asked for refund and they wont reply. Frkem.
I initially posted a negative review of partzilla.com but after the supervisor Chris reached out to me and offered a refund and sent the right part expedited, i decided to give them another try. I am a repair shop them so its really important to save money. They also offered me a commercial discount which is easy to apply for and now i save 20% off additional. I think the reason a lot of people are upset is that the estimated ship time is not clear. It says ships in 2-4 business days but that is when the part leaves, and then you have to allow extra time for the carrier. Its worded confusingly. Plus the cart empties a lot, but they said they are fixing that. This time I got my parts on time, and all was as expected. I will be giving them another try soon.
I looked up a part on partzilla.com (windshield for my motorcycle), which did not have a picture. So, I called their customer service to ask what all came in the kit. I was transferred to a tech guy and I asked him the same question. He said, "Let me look it up to make sure". He asked what it is I'm trying verify that was in the kit. I said, "I am trying to find out if I need to order anything else to mount the windshield". He said he was looking at the picture and it looks like everything comes with it. I asked if fork mounts were in the kit also. He then described the mounts to me and said sure looks like they are in there. With that, I went ahead and ordered the kit.
Not feeling super confident about the mounts being in there, I called the local Yamaha dealer to ask them. They said it can be ordered both ways. So, I needed to call them back to verify. So I called Partzilla back and asked for their tech support. The tech guy came on the phone and I told him I was trying to verify for the order that I placed a couple days prior, if the fork mounts are included in the Kit, because I am planning a motorcycle trip this coming weekend and needed to know if I needed to order the mounts if they are not in there. He, just like the first tech guy looked up the picture. He said it looks like they come it, but let me check. He put me on hold for about ten minutes and came back on the phone and said, "everything that is needed to mount it should be in there".
Today the windshield was delivered and guess what was NOT in the kit. The fork mounts. I called Partzilla to speak with their customer service. In the process of trying to explain the situation, I was hung up on, transferred to a busy signal and left on hold for about fifteen minutes (three different times calling back). I was finally connected to someone and was able to explain it all. The customer service person said, "I'm pretty sure those don't ever come in the kit, but let me ask one of the tech guys and asked me to hold". I think it's pretty bad that she was certain that they do not come in the kit, but the tech guys had no clue. She came back on the phone and said she was not sure and that the supplier was not open for her to ask. Then she said she would not be able to find out until Monday and if the mounts are supposed to be in there they would send them to me. I then explained that I had to have them for this coming weekend. She said, "IF I can get approval I will have them sent out expedited, but I will not know until Monday". So, here I sit waiting for Monday and by Monday it will be too late to order the mounts from somewhere else unless I pay for rush delivery. Not cool! I will make sure every motorcycle person I come across to let them know not to buy from Partzilla!
