I am sure you are aware, the country is facing a national supply chain crisis. The crisis is so severe that the President has stepped in. We have no control over items that are back-ordered, as that is a supply and demand issue. Unfortunately, our company is no exception to the overall supply chain issues. If at any time you place an order and an item is on backorder, we will notify you as soon as possible. At that point, you can cancel the order with no restocking fee, or you can choose to keep your order open and wait for the item to arrive to our warehouse. Some dates do get pushed back by the manufacturer, and if this happens we notify you of the change of dates. I do apologize for the inconvenience however we do not have a stock status for items on our website as inventory between us and our vendors is currently off. In every confirmation email it states that should your item be back-ordered we will email you as soon as possible. The reason for the email is to advise the customer of the expected availability date and to give them the option to cancel should they not want to wait. You placed your order late and the following morning we sent the email advising you that your item was on backorder, and included the date. The part was specially ordered from Yamaha, and according to your pictures arrived defective. We do sincerely apologize for that inconvenience. We do not sell items rebuilt or refurbished. I see an agent offered to reorder the part, but it is still on backorder. You have been sent a prepaid return label in order to get that back for a full refund. We do sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration this has caused. It is a rare thing for an item to arrive defective from Yamaha.
