Easily found better prices on everything I looked at. Delivery was bad on area rug. Haven't bought anything in a few years and now that I see the CEO is a political operative for Republicans, I will never buy another thing from them.
All I can say is the moment you place an order you better be %100 sure you want it since their return and cancellation process is basically impossible. They happily told me that they could not help me either. Terrible customer service. I will not ever use overstock again.
This place deals with 3 rd party sellers. They don't control the sellers. Instead they let them screw people over. Then they say oh well that is through a Market place seller so we will email them that you called. Ha it's a joke! Then the 3 rd party seller will ask you stupid questions such as " please give your email address so we can provide you with a return label" ha this was sent to my email. Same email smart one. Then I provide the email and then they ask " do u want to return just the tables or all of the set?" Well smart one I bought this as a set so I do believe I want to return the whole set. Stay tuned for the next stupid question they are about to ask. The table showed up and was round!
I have been with Overstock for over 7 years and bought a whole household of furniture, bedding mattresses rugs, and household items from them. I never had any payment issues. Last Sunday I received a phone call from a lady stating I owe $93.95 dollars and my account is Delinquent. I let her know this is odd and never happen before, At first thought it was a scam call. I could not think of what I bought and did not pay for. I quickly paid over the phone as she stated if I did not pay NOW there would be another $35 late charge. I quickly paid over the phone and hung up to call customer service. Then I found out it was a $19.95 charge for the Club O Renewal that I did not purchase. This was put on my account without my knowing. $19.95 for the renal and then- another $19.95 late fee and -two $35 late fees, two min $2 fees for interest all on an unauthorized charge. If that wasn't bad enough on top of all this, the next day I found out they reported to the credit bureau my account was delinquent. My credit was at 810 and just went down -55 points. I called in again to the service line, only to get a lady that would not listen to me, talked over me, and all she would say is "how would you like to make your payment today". I hung up and called back to get gentle man who was educated on how to listen and saw there was an issue. He stated the fees will be taken off, and all the changes related to the fraudulent renal fee. He was kind and very apologetic on what had happened: However, he stated he had no authority or access to the credit report, and I need to write a secure message to request the derogatory remakes be removed from my credit. Please see the response, (received 7/19) I have to wait up to 45 days. I called customer service again and was assured by a kind Lady Rebecca who assured me this will all be taken care of; The fees I paid that day will be credited back to me and the fees associated with this case will be taken off. I even have a case # 190 *******. They sent me an email asking me to do a review on the Club O rewards program. This story is what I wrote. They rejected my review (see the attached) Today 7/20 I had to go to the secured message as none of the late fee charges have been removed from the fraudulent transaction.(I had originally paid these with my debit card when the first lady called stating that she was going to add $35 more on if I did not make the payment that day while we were on the line) My account shows current but late fees are still being requested to pay. Please see the below. This has been a nightmare.
DO NOT buy items they note from vendors and not from them, the answer to any customer support issue is to "pound sand". Item came not with dimensions advertised and even though I knew I had to pay return shipping they did not even offer their corporate rate so UPS etc nearly as much as the item so what's the use. Buy and bye seems to be their attitude. Done with them.
Pay your entire bill early unless you want an extra interest charge put on your balance even though you paid your entire bill. You get a big surprise and get to pay more.
So frustrated... I ordered a table and chair set in June of this year. The set delivery date was set for June 28. Cool. June 28 came and went. I was never told I had to contact a logistics company to set a delivery date... cool. I contacted CEVA and set a date of July 1. Fine. July 1 came and went. I called both overstock and CEVA no one knew where my table was. I was told to give 72 hours for CEVA to find the tablr which happened to be July 4th holiday. So had family from out of town and NO table and chairs. Gave them over 72 hours no call and no table. Called this week, since they cant locate the table they are not willing to send me another table because they are worried about me receiving 2 tables. My options are refunding me half of the set and when they find the table refund me the other half. I don't understand this! Completely ridiculous. I paid for a table, just send me one! Or offer me a FULL refund! I'm so over this company. I will NEVER buy from them again!
The lamp we purchased arrived in a badly beaten box, resulting in a crooked, dented lampshade. I called Overstock to ask if they would send another shade without me having to return the whole lamp. They told me I didn't have to return anything, and in exchange for a few pictures of the damage they would send me a new lamp. 5 minutes on the phone, problem solved.
We have had two issues with Overstock. In Spring 2021 we ordered a kitchen island. After waiting for delivery we received the bottom of the island and the legs to a table that did not belong to us. Overstock said that they could not get us a new top because it was sold out and they would have someone pick up the legs that did not belong to us. the person whose legs we received actually contacted us because our phone number was on the shipping label, turns out we had her table legs and she had our island top. She was in TX and we are in CA. Overstock said there was no way to swap the items as it was a "shipper" issue. So there we were left we half our island and legs to someone else table. After about 3 months of back and forth an island top arrived on our doorstep with no warning. We still have the other table legs and will be responsible for paying a dump fee to dispose of them.
June 7,2021-we ordered a table and chairs set. Shortly after ordering we were notified there would be a delay. On Sunday June 19,2021 I reached out to customer service and they assured me that my table and chairs would ship out Tuesday, June 22,2021. On the morning of Tuesday June 22,2021 I received an email that our table was sold out and would not ship.
Overstock has a problem with overselling items and holding customers money for long periods of time when they know they items ordered are actually unavailable. I do not trust this company.
Tried to return an item and the service person wasn't helpful at all and tried to put it on me that Overstock droop the ball and lost the item I returned. Had to call my CC company and do a charge back
I ordered a bathroom Vanity and was so excited about having it in my bathroom! After having to take a morning off work to have it delivered, it arrived late, I hired a plumber to install it. When he removed it from the packaging, there was a large crack in the marble and it had come away from the under mounted sink. I contacted overstock, hard to get someone on the phone. After calling for 2 days and spending 20 mins on hold being cut off and waiting again to speak to a supervisor, they offered me $100 to replace the marble myself, they were not very accommodating. I refused and now have to wait a week with this oversized item in my living room to have it returned, take another morning off work and still I have no vanity! Their customer service is appalling! So 2 mornings off work and the price of a plumber and I still have no Vanity! Im sure Ill have to wait for a full refund too! Stay away from Overstock!
I ordered a rag rug from Overstock. They wanted to charge me $32 to send it back. The rug only cost $32.18 so I would only get 18 cents back. They said if I wanted to ship it back for free I needed to join their $20 per year membership program. Extortion!
My patio chair from a set arrived damaged. The problem is their response, a $65.00 refund on a set that was $800.00.
They refused to take a return of a large expensive item, that is useless to me as it does not fit in my space. They were totally unaccomodating, not helpful at all, and basically said they would not take the return after initially saying they would. So now i am stuck with something i cannot use, and out alot of money. They suggested I resell it. Imagine. I have never been treated so badly by any company. I would never ever buy anything from them again, and would never recommend them to anyone.

We received our green house April 28,2021. As we set it up it started to bend. We didn't think anything of it you know probably just being to rough on the bars they are kind of thin after all. We didn't bury it or anything we just set it up and tied it down with the little tie downs that came with it. The next day we go out to water and mind you it's been super windy all week that day of no exception sadly, we found our green house upside down and the front and back top bars were both bent in half. They still kind of connected so we just put it back up and this time we butted the down in the dirt. For about a month now it'd been up collapsed at the front and back from the first incident but the 2 middle bars still stood. This morning me and my husband head out to water our plants and find that the whole top Piece had completely collapsed and bent the bottom half to. So we unbury it and that's what's left of it. I talked to customer service and they offered a refund if I returned the item. But sadly some of the bolts won't come apart because of how bent it is so I use it for scrap now
I ordered a product that was supposed to be here a few days ago. Haven't gotten it yet but I saw this morning that the same product had gone on sale for about $35.00 less than I had paid for it. They said they would not adjust pricing and I could not return it. Last purchase for me with this company.
Recently I've redecorated my house. I've ordered several items from Overstock. Here is the good, the bad, and the ugly. The good: most of the items I've received were of good quality. What I expected based on the listing and some even better in person. They have great customer service. I've had items come damaged and they were quick to replace them or refund them at no cost to me. I also compare prices for the same products against other sites and Overstock is usually cheaper. The bad: since products are often sold by third parties, the packing is all over the place. I've had items packed so well I could barely get into them and items packed so poorly it was obvious it was heavily damaged in shipping partly due to poor packaging. The ugly: I recently ordered an accent chair listed as "full grain leather" with a photo of a chair with beautiful distressed leather. What I got was made of a material nothing like the photo. It was most definitely not full grain leather or leather at all for that matter. The material was poor quality compared to the advertised photo and not distressed. I wrote Overstock to address the issue and am waiting to hear back (I just wrote them a few hours ago). Because there are third parties, unfortunately not all of them can be trusted. I have no doubt Overstock would except a return if I chose to return it, so I still think they are great to work with... just a few shady third parties on the site.
Ordered a sofa, received wrong sofa (accidentally?). Was never told that it was out-of-stock. Took me 3+ weeks of many emails, phone calls to get them to pick it up for the return. I will never buy anything from them again.
Placed an order for a set of patio furniture on April 21,2021. Got an email notification on April 22,2021 that my order was shipped via UPS. Tried tracking my order on UPS site and all it stated was "Label Created" and till this date still stating the same. Called customer service and I was told that they will get back to me and that was a couple of days ago. No return call from them. This was my first time buying from them and I WILL NEVER be buying from this website anymore. They are the worst.
Answer: Hey, I would be very careful. I have transacted with Overstock three times and I don't believe there is as much security in terms of guarantee as with Amazon. And, if you buy items fulfilled by Amazon (meaning the product ships from Amazon's warehouse) you are even more guaranteed. For example, I bought some dinner napkins from an Amazon seller, fulfilled by Amazon. They were not what they were supposed to be and Amazon issued me a credit immediately and scheduled UPS to pick up my item to return. I'm very confident that with Amazon you will get quality service and if the product is not as described or substandard you will be in better hands especially with Amazon fulfilled items. Overstock is just not up to par and I wouldn't purchase something like a medicated cream from Overstock until they get it together.
Answer: I used a credit card on Overstock when purchasing my bed. It was years ago, I still sleep on it. I had no problems using my credit card on Overstock
