I use Overstock.com as one of many places I compare prices when shopping for a particular item. I've used their emailed FREE shipping or % off coupons to make those deals even better.

I've purchased a plasma TV & a new living room chair from Overstock in years past. I was very happy with the prices, shipping & condition of the items when they arrived.

They will send you used damaged stuff for price of new! And the customer service is really bad too! I will never buy from Overstock ever again! It's a junk!

I've purchased children's gifts, furniture, a television, a computer, and clothing from overstock. The shipping is fast and reasonably priced. I've always been happy with my overstock.com purchases.

While they may be brand name ink cartridges I order 2 black cartridges and three color and the dates of the ink were 2014. Needless to say they did not work. In order to return you have to have the same packing that they were sent in (Who keeps that?) in order to send them back. Don't waste your time! It was my first purchase from Overstock but it will be my last!

In past years I bought a few things from Overstock that were 'ok' quality. Some lamps and chairs for guest rooms that don't get used too often. Not bad. Adequate. But lately, I've had to return a couple things that were not worth the money. And worse yet, they weren't the same quality items as were pictured. Word of warning... there seems to be some "bait and switch" going on with the sellers on Overstock. They picture a higher quality item online but when you get it you realize that it's a much inferior item that is shipped to you than what is pictured. I experienced this while in Bali years ago. They show you a beautiful piece and then when you agree to buy it, they take it away and "wrap it"... but what they're doing is wrapping a less quality item that you don't realize until much too late. I think some of the sellers on Overstock are doing the same thing.

The site advertises to have overstock items at wholesale prices. Quite frankly this is not true. There are items are mostly retail or MSRP. Beware and don't be ripped off

I have only ordered office supplies from Overstock. Every order has been perfect. The minimal shipping fees, the delivery and the excellent comparative price have combined to make me a very happy Overstock buyer.

I have been shopping on overstock.Com for 15 years. I have found some great deals on there. Last year I bought myself and 2 daughters 1/2 carat black Diamond earrings and the back fell off 1 in just a couple of days but they shipped out a pair with a pouch to return the other earrings. That was very nice however since then both of the other 2 pair we lost the back on both after 6 months. We went to local jewelry and replaced the backs. I have bought a lot of 14 k chains from the site.

Not so good

I ordered 4 chairs from Overstock.com. They came with no parts or hardware and no instructions. As a "solution," Overstock said they would send me four more chairs and I could open them, get out everything I was missing from the first order, then repack it all and take it to the post office and send it myself. They refused to open a box themselves and take out the parts and send them to me. When that option didn't appeal to me, they credited me a whole 20 dollars. The chairs are still sitting in pieces in my spare bedroom, totally useless and a big waste of money.

Approximately 6 weeks ago they were having a huge 40-60% off sale. I found 4 great unlocked phones that normally cost $600-as the highest and $200 the lowest- they were 40-50% off. I attempted to finalize my purchase 4 times for 3 of the 4 devices I found- all to no avail.
I then wrote customer service and e-mail explaining what occurred-and asking their assistance as not to lose out these great opportunities. I received an e-mail for me to contact them. So I called 4-5 times- each time I was transferred by their customer service people to other departments- until I was disconnected. This happened not once but 4 times. So I wrote them again- well the time expited and though I did receive an e-mail stating someone would contact me with 24 hrs- that time frame came and went. Now they are stating that I failed to call them and attempting to place their incompetence onto me and blaming me for failing to act as instructed. False- this has happened before-whereas I had to contact their Executive Department in Corporate-and someone with a title did call me and assisted me in resolving an on going problem. I resent- that their incompetence-with their computer glitch- their failure to transfer and disconnect me-and finally their audacity in attempting to blame me for their mistakes disallowed me an incredible opportunity to buy a great phone for an incredible price.
So the 3 times I have used Overstock- twice I had to contact Executive to resolve my issue- and this time their audacity it turning facts around to blame me for their errors-Folks I don't think I would use Overstock again- never had such problems with Amazon-Best Buy-Tiger Direct etc. and if there was an error someone from their corporate office's called me promptly to resolve the issue usually as a good business does to their patrons.
Overstock has proven again and again- that they care very little about their customers-unless Corporate is involved.
So avoid the headaches-the computer glitches- the false accusations- go elsewhere you work for your money- when you want to buy something you shouldn't have to work at spending it too.
A very un happy soon to be ex patron.

The website is well done, and the customer service is almost amazing. With a few minor errors here and there, they have been absolutely wonderful. Great place to shop, easy to return, and good prices.
