Ordered several rugs from here and they ship fast.
They just don't ship you the right item, you have to spend nearly an hour to get it straightened out and they try to bill you again for the wrong product. Would not order from here again.
When purchasing furniture, I always go to Overstock.com. Just a month ago, I ordered a recliner chair, it was better than advertised and really reasonable. However, I keep falling asleep and missing the end of a movie, but that's okay, really comfy. Also ordered a memory foam topper - great price and again comfy. Have ordered a lot and very happy with service and shipping. Never had to send anything back.
I couldn't see the prices were any better than anywhere else, and in most cases they were higher.

My wife and I ordered a bunch of new bed sheet sets, within 6 months all had lost their elastic bands, some started to wear thru and some tore down the seams, their prices were that good, their shipping was over priced and took almost two weeks to get to us. We have never shopped there again and will never shop there again!
A lot of times items are marked up from value, where the sales and promotions seem to be more so a skeem to draw in more buyers. Even knowing so, i can attest to the items ive purchased threw overstock all being wonderful and usually the lowest price to another similar product of interest. Providing a quick expedient delivery as well. After 100's of orders, only 1 item has ever been received damaged, where overstock refunded the entire value of that damaged item. If your gonna buy anything. Highly recommend check over stock first, then shop elsewhere if you cant find better, then buy overstock. 90% of the time, you will end up buying overstock/ebay. If not not sure, sit and wait a month or so and keep looking. 60% of the time, you will still end up buying overstock/ebay. Its that good.
I ordered 19 inch cushions - they sent me 17 inch cushions. Much too small! I contacted customer service about a return and they wanted to charge me 24.00 for a return. I told them the website clearly said they were 19 inches and that they sent me 17 inch cushions. He then quoted the website saying "You can expect size and color variations!" Really? A FULL TWO INCHES? Who would order something that could be that far off? He then finally agreed to send me free shipping labels but smugly wrote "we will inspect them at our plant and you will be charged if we find they are the right size!"... I won't ever use them again.

It all started when I saw this TV on this site. Loved the looks of it. Then the horror starts. The shipment gets lost. Overstock then as they should refunds the money. Then the shipment was found and I say ok lets get it delivered. The day it arrives... I saw a hole in the box on the corner. I ask the delivery guy what happened. He said it came to them that way. I asked. Well is it broken?. He said No I don't thinks so. I unpack it in my living room right were the delivery guy dropped it off. Guess what... the TV screen it cracked real bad. I call Overstock and they are happy to send me out another one. Later that day I call overstock back and I said I just like them to pick the TV up and refund me the money back. They said ok no problem. Now today Overstock calls back and said that I received the TV in good condition and I have to pay for it. I told them there was no way I'm paying for a damaged TV that was delivered to my house with there white glove delivery service. They acted like I broke the tv. This guy was really poring it on. I got mad and told him I don't think so dude. I have pictures of the damaged box on the truck and unpacked. He then said ya we have them also. I could not believe this guy knowing the box was damaged and he had the pics to prove it and still tried to make me pay for it. Really... Now the battle begins to get this TV out of my house and refund my money. Hope I dont need a lawyer..
There customer service is really bad. Had several dealings with them. None were good. They believe they, not the customer is always right. This outweighs any good They may have, I feel.
I ordered luggage from OVERSTOCK on wednesday at 3 am & chose expedited 1 day shipping which cost almost as much as the luggage... they decided to place my order on hold at loss prevention. They finally contacted me this morning to verify my address at which point I asked when the delivery was set for... the answer was next Tuesday the 21st! What was the point of me paying $150 for expedited shipping? To receive my shipment 4 days late?!?!? When I spoke to Shelly in management she was insincere throughout the entire conversation. Basically unapologetic. I will never use this website again! What a waste of time & energy... Amazon is so much more reliable.

I ordered a toilet tank and expected it in 3 to 4 business days, to cut a long story short, it was sent UPS and on the day of 1 day late delivery the unit was broken. I immediately called and was informed by a Chelsea at customer service there that my options were cancellation and 2 day refund or replacement in the same time frame as the original order. I queried this as I needed this for a job that I had a time frame on and that was going to leave me late> I queried as it was UPS who broke the unit the least that they could do was to expedite the shipment, she told me no period. I asked for a supervisor she completely ignored me. I am completely sorry that I even joined their club. The previous Girl from customer service a Dominique was a tremendous asset, she needs to leave or revamp this outfit. I only give an additional star because of her.
Some of their products are a good deal others are really no special bargain so it pays to search online
I recently purchased a chandelier item number 326-4. It came in a decent time, my husband put it together than hung it up. As we were putting the hanging tear drops on we noticed 10 were missing I wrote them an email and their response was they never heard of that before REALLY well it happened. So they wanted my husband to take it down and return WHY? So you can send us another screwed up one. It was already put up, I tried explaining this to then to just send the missing pieces. They did not want to listen, needless to say we ended up coming out of the pocket for the missing pieces. GOOD BYE OVERSTOCK!
International shipping cost to Canada is INSAAAAAANE. I bought $150 worth of stuff, but with shipping/duties/handling fees my final bill came to $350+! Never came back to this site ever again. Quality of some of the products were cheap too.
I bought what was suppose to be "just box opened and close" glider for my baby nursery and when it was delivered it had the worst looking box and we got it out just to see it was cracked! But online it said no damage was done to it that the box was open so they couldn't sell for regular price! Next time instead of getting something already broke I'll order through a regular site instead of a hole in the wall site like this! I also called and they told me they would refund me in 11-21 business days and I needing to pay for shipping which was gunna be like 30 alone. It's a rip off don't do it. I wish I would have read the reviews first like I usually do but I didn't!
They also give you points which you can spend immediately. Good sales sometimes.

Answer: Hey, I would be very careful. I have transacted with Overstock three times and I don't believe there is as much security in terms of guarantee as with Amazon. And, if you buy items fulfilled by Amazon (meaning the product ships from Amazon's warehouse) you are even more guaranteed. For example, I bought some dinner napkins from an Amazon seller, fulfilled by Amazon. They were not what they were supposed to be and Amazon issued me a credit immediately and scheduled UPS to pick up my item to return. I'm very confident that with Amazon you will get quality service and if the product is not as described or substandard you will be in better hands especially with Amazon fulfilled items. Overstock is just not up to par and I wouldn't purchase something like a medicated cream from Overstock until they get it together.
Answer: I used a credit card on Overstock when purchasing my bed. It was years ago, I still sleep on it. I had no problems using my credit card on Overstock
