I have boughten several things from Overstock. Com and i am very happy and satisfied with my purchases. Things were as promised and delivered on time.

I jointed the Club O Rewards two years ago. It charged me next year without giving me any notice. I don't want be the member anymore and I canceled the membership. And then guess what? I couldn't use the rewards which I got from buying. It is about 30 bucks. I contacted with the service and was given a link of membership rules. I accepted I was too trust this company to read it carefully before. Now I felt I was fooled by this company and the stupid rules.
When this site first started up, I was able to find unbelievable bargains, and ordered quite often. Then they became extremely overpriced, I suppose to make up for their free and/or low cost shipping. I now very rarely visit this site, knowing I can do better elsewhere.
Yes, there are some bargains at this well established site, but unfortunately they are few and far between. I have not found anything recently that I would consider purchasing. The prices are just too high for most products. For home design type products which are not easily comparable, they do have a fine selection; however, how many sheets or bath towels does one need?
Edit: Customer serves spent two days resolving this. Finding a replacement dining set that met our needs and offering a substantial discount to meet my original purchase price...
I ordered a dining room table/chair set. My credit card was immediately charged (not pending or preauthorized, but posted) Three days later, when checking on the status of my order, I noticed it had been changed to a pair of chairs only. So I called in.
Many reps and supervisors later I get the bottom line that they made an error loading information on the web page and they would not honor the sale. The new price was nearly 3x as much. I could accept a refund, a 30% discount on the new price or apply my purchase funds to another product. That is not satisfactory. They should deliver the product we agreed upon.
I ordered a office lamination kit and it was poorly made. It seemed like a knockoff product.

I ordered some of the products such as pillows and pillow cases and was disappointed when it arrived. The quality wasn't as good as it displayed on the site. Since then I haven't order anything from there just to avoid returing back and forth.

As a wedding present my Mother in Law bought us a couch. We picked out the perfect couch on overstock.com and it stated it had shipped. I kept checking the shipping number to see if it was tracking and it wasn't. Two weeks later I finally contacted overstock about the issue they were very pleasant but unhelpful. A full week later I followed up they stated the tracking number was correct, and it was the carriers fault they hadn't responded. So finally I got sick of it and called to which they transferred me to the warehouse. The warehouse told me that the tracking number was wrong and they were currently trying to fix it. In the mean time I called the carrier to verify what they were saying had any truth to it, but behold the carrier had no information regarding the name, address, and shipping number. So I again contacted overstock demanding my money back considering there is a great chance that it was never shipped, but again completely unhelpful. You have been warned!
I ordered an outdoor sofa and the wrong color was delivered. I rejected the item on the spot and had the delivery guy take it back. It took days to get a response to my calls and emails to Overstock.com. More than two weeks later I still don't have an update on when the correct sofa will even leave their warehouse, let alone, when it will arrive. By the time the right sofa arrives, summer will be over. Of course, I have already paid for the sofa.
I've used Overstock 6 times now and I'm finally saying NEVER AGAIN! There has been a problem with every order. Poor quality is a common problem, but you can't expect quality at their prices. What you should be able to expect though is getting the correct order, and they frequently send the wrong thing, or miss an item from an order. Move on. Buy elsewhere. Overstock SUCKS!
I purchased eight leather dining chairs from Overstock.com. In just two years, after normal light use, the chairs are peeling so badly on the seat that it is both alarming and embarrassing. I spent $2400 on the chairs and the website says they are leather. They are not leather. The website is misleading and will not help me rectify/repair/replace the defective chairs in anyway. They were expensive and I would not trust the products on Overstock. The descriptions are not accurate.
I have purchased fine china, drapery, bedding and furniture from this site. I have found the items that I purchased to be of an excellent quality and I was greatly pleased.
Overstock is one of the best sites to order from... they always have everything you could imagine... and the prices are great... I don't know how anyone could not use them.

Answer: Hey, I would be very careful. I have transacted with Overstock three times and I don't believe there is as much security in terms of guarantee as with Amazon. And, if you buy items fulfilled by Amazon (meaning the product ships from Amazon's warehouse) you are even more guaranteed. For example, I bought some dinner napkins from an Amazon seller, fulfilled by Amazon. They were not what they were supposed to be and Amazon issued me a credit immediately and scheduled UPS to pick up my item to return. I'm very confident that with Amazon you will get quality service and if the product is not as described or substandard you will be in better hands especially with Amazon fulfilled items. Overstock is just not up to par and I wouldn't purchase something like a medicated cream from Overstock until they get it together.
Answer: I used a credit card on Overstock when purchasing my bed. It was years ago, I still sleep on it. I had no problems using my credit card on Overstock
