Refunds
December 22, 2015

I too fell under the belief that the trial membership was free. However when I was setting my profile up they offered me a $7.95 weekly charge for their best plan. Like a fool I gave them my credit card and the next screen that popped up showed me I was now on a 6 month plan for 111.76. I tried to find a phone number but to no avail. So I went under my account in OurTime and selected to Account Status. I then chose to contact customer service but the emails kept telling me to go back to the website to handle this.
Well that was not going to work for me. I decided to continue to reply to that same automated email form them about 10 times. I called my bank the next morning and disputed the charges. I also went in to the bank to cancel my debit
Card and complete another form(its not a big deal). The bank told me the company had 10 days to respond to the dispute the charges and if not they would deposit the money back into my account. To my surprise I received a email (2 days after they took the money) telling me they would refund me the money. Now lets hope they do that. I hope
This helps anyone else that is looking to get their money back. Also even if its a slight inconvenience in order to do to avoid possible future charges, cancel the debit card as well as your OurTime profile. I hope this helps.

Email reply from OurTime
Good morning! Thank you for your email today. I am sorry if our Rapid Reply did not assist you. I will be happy to help you with your concern over what you were charged. I apologize if our membership pricing was confusing in any way. On the upgrade page is will show you what you end up paying weekly in a breakdown. However, you are not actually
Charged weekly. Our monthly special is only applicable when all six months are paid in full. This is stated on our Upgrade page. Otherwise, our monthly rate is higher. Also, each new order is charged our $3.99 processing fee. I have reviewed your account and show you are eligible for a one-time courtesy refund. A refund of $111.75 has been
Transmitted to your financial institution. It may take your financial institution up to 72 hours to release the funds back to you. For questions when the funds will be available, you would need to contact your financial institution. Since this refund has been processed, your account is now a free account. You may still login to the site as a free
Member, but you will no longer have access to the paid features such as messaging or Chat. All of us at OurTime.com pride ourselves in providing excellent service and we will continue to make every effort towards achieving that goal. If further
Assistance is required, please do not hesitate to reply. Enjoy your day!

Worst website
December 7, 2015

Our time it is the worst website to invest money in, you better give those money to any charity. It is useless, has a wrong design (if you try to see the profile of the person who sent you a message, a pump-up choice "send a message or send flirt" will block your view. It's annoying. No customer service numbers provided, so they can extend your memberships without having a chance to cancel it.
BBB should do something about this flawed business.

STole my money!
December 1, 2015

When you PAY them to be a member, and if you dont you cant talk to ANYONE, you automatically get billed EVERY MONTH. I immediately changed the "auto pay" pay setting and it caused a popup to block my screen and keep me from using the site unless I turned back on "Autopay."

I called and was told to switch computers and or operating systems... anything but correct the problem o their end. When it came to refunding my money, the rude children running OUR TIME told me they could not do it and to cancel the payment through my credit card company.

The sad thing was that I was talking to quite a few potential matches... I just refuse to deal with an unscrupulous entity, I would rather pay MORE and deal with a "morally correct" company. For this reason, I would only recommend them to people that I really dislike.

This poorly structured and technically flawed service deleted my approved written profile not once but 5 times! I've demanded a prorated refund but stipulated that my account remain intact and available until the end of my contract with them that they've failed to honor. Do yourself a favor. Find another service.

Clearly fake
November 5, 2015

I have a profile that has two sentences about me, no photo and no subscription. I've clicked on a few profiles and "flirted" with a few. Now I have 37 incoming flirts, 3 incoming favorites and 152 incoming messages. How can this possibly be?

This *looks* like a site that's putting fake messages, fake flirts and fake favorites on my profile in order to try to tempt me to spend money with them.

I'd like to get one of those throwaway visa cards in order to join for a month to see what's going on but $30-$40 is way too expensive for a site that should be free.

I have zero confidence in this site and will not be spending money on it.

Do not waste your time
September 26, 2015

If you pay for Our Time, you are going lose.
It is not worth the money, the messages I have received are awful and they take way too long to load. But the worst thing is, Our Time hides the fact that they are going to automatically charge you for renewal fees. You end up paying a whole lot more than you think.
I spent $60 (not intentionally) and did not meet a single person.
This site brings out the worst possible people.
I had planned on not renewing, but despite the fact that I received a LOT of mail from Our Time, I never had any hint at all that they were going to continue charging my credit card.
Save yourself a lot of money. There are FREE apps for your phone that work 1000 times better.

I had a great experience with our time dating site. I met nice guys but one in particular who has become the man of my dreams. He actually was someone I went to school with from age 5 yrs to 14. He was shy painfully shy and quiet. My mother often encouraged me to make friends with him... I complained that he was too quiet. She said in her Irish brogue " you know Rosemary that the quiet one's are often the nicest ones and he comes from an awfully nice family... my mother saw he was special and good for me but I didn't listen. We just got engaged in Ireland August 22 2015. Getting married there next year august 27 2016!

Best for men
August 18, 2015

From my experience in only receiving one response in six months I'm guessing the odds aren't the best for women here. The one date was horrible. The guy said he didn't want to waste time having lunch with me but expected to come right over for sex. Needless to say I let my subscription expire and never looked back.

I'm a 65 year old guy... very active... walk a lot of rounds of golf. I keep fit. I joined OT and immediately got deluged by sweet young things who 'faved' me... 30-ish types. Really? And they all had gorgeous pics. Uh huh! I have met 3 ladies for lunch as a first meeting. They ALL describe themselves as 'athletic and toned.' Not so much. One of them told me to be very careful because some people weren't totally truthful with their profiles. No kidding... SHE identified herself as 5 years younger. I won't renew my membership. My chances of meeting a very cool lady are better at the local Publix! Besides, if I win the lottery, they'll find me.

I switched from OKC because I wanted to date guys over 50 and thought that having to pay might make the experience better.
The pictures are tiny and the questions are inane. Is this the best that dating sites can do?
Actually the guys are not so bad, perhaps because they don't ask many questions.

OurTime had the nerve to steal my profile information from Match.com and then try to sell it to me after filling up my email with erroneous winks and blinks and stars and loads of other crap. It even decided which body shape and hair color were mine (it didn't get either of those right). I believe each and every message, wink or other dating spam I got was made up by the company n order to get to me buy their KoolAid, because the site just made up so much GARBAGE complied from Match.com. They also used my pictures from Match without my permission.

I did not want to become an online dating expert, but now, I guess I am. The upshot is that I removed my profile and hopefully now they won't be bothering me anymore.

Worked for us!

My new husband and I are proud ex-members of ourtime. My only complaint is the number of scammers acting as members. I spent a lot of time weeding out false interests.

Great website! Easy to use, and rates are fair compared to other sites.

Let me be the first to tell you that life is NOT over after 60,70 or 75! No, I'm not 60, but I have plenty of friends who are this age and older. Some of whom believed that they would continue to be single throughout their older years, I believe that there is someone for everyone and that no one needs to be alone, especially when your older and able to really enjoy life. So, I've recently created a few profiles for my friends and within minutes they started communicating with people of similar interests and likes. They are also happily going out on some awesome dates. It's great to see them happy and excited!

I have been very happy with Ourtime, and it's older sister site - SeniorPeopleMeet. I have tried most all of the prominent sites, and have found this one to be in the top 3 or 4. It is a paid site, so you cheapskates who just want to troll for free won't like it. But I have met some very nice women on this site. And you can join one of them and get access to both - two for the price of one. Now that's a deal.

Absolutely the worst!
February 1, 2015

Absolutely the worst! Limited number of members and when I decided not to renew and made a point of setting it up to not auto renew immediately after I signed up, just to protect my card. As the date to renew got close they charged my card anyway! I contacted them and after some begging they refunded the premium amount they had charged. You would think this was the end of it, but then the charge showed up again a week later. I contacted them again and they refused to refund it, saying I already had one refund and they couldn't do it again. I called the credit card company and disputed the charges and also had them blocked so they couldn't charge me again. What a scam!

I paid for a membership in this site and was automatically terminated with no reason given other than "for the good of the community." If I wanted to find out what the reason was I would have to go through a legal process. I asked for a return of my payment and they said they have a no refund policy. So, they kept my money even though it was their decision, not mine. I contacted the Dallas, TX BBB and they recently informed me that they got no response from their inquiry. Do not get involved with this site.

I agree with Jon C completely. And if you go to other review sites that have a lot of comments on them about Our Time (like Disqus) there are LOTS OF COMPLAINTS about how the site will overcharge your card etc... I recommend staying away from them. I recommend that you read the reviews of the site in more depth before giving OT your credit card information.

If I could rate this site any lower, I would. Money hungry site that informs you of the messages, flirts, likes, etc that you receive. But to even view them, you have to pay more than $20 bucks for just a months membership. They will not let you post on your profile other means of contacting you. You cannot even say that you aren't PAYING FOR THE SITE... they will not approve. How ridiculous? You can't even say that... along with many other things. There is nothing good about the site and you can see why it is no where near as successful as others like okcupid and adultfriendfinder. I would not suggest even glancing at a site as arrogant and thieving as Ourtime.com.

Stay away from it.
