I should have read the reviews first... hacked within a week, changed my preferences, could not get back on despite changing password. The people sent were hideous and no normal clean, decent person with a brain would respond. I called customer service and this idiot John (who refused to tell me his last name) acted like it was nothing and would not answer my request to cancel. Called my credit card and they cancelled in a second - so use you CREDIT CARD to get a refund. Don't forget they charge a "one time fee" of the $3.99 - get that back too. It is also SCARY a hacker got right in and changed my data. S T A Y A W A Y!
Was on this site for three months and only got phished, lies and even a threat. Seriously? This is the worst dating site ever. Sending wrong sex matches, people with one picture up and no descriptions, people who put lies about their employment in their profiles, lies about whether they had children, lies about everything! Not only were the matches horrid, but some were actually threatening and quite scary. I hope this site gets shut down eventually. Come on seniors, get out there and mingle! Much easier to meet real people in person than to do so on this site.
I do know someone this site worked for. My experience was that nobody really wants to answer any simple questions, like "what IS it you like about my profile" [or photo]. BEWARE some appear to be stock photos, and will attempt to follow you to FB. Very scary. I left. I'd rather be alone.
The teasers show fairly attractive people. I had no idea that the majority of the users are far short of even being the slightest bit attractive. And some people are so inept they cant even post a picture correctly. Oh, thats a nice picture of your forehead, I think Ill contact you. And then the people that contact you - for Gods sake, have some self respect; take a shower, wash your hair. Do you really think a decent person is going to respond to you?
Our Time deleted all the information in my profile because I made the mistake of saying I did not intend to renew. They could have deleted just that line, but they did not like my profile so they deleted it all. I responded by asking for my information back or my money because I had not made a copy. They ignored my request continued to bill me for another 3 months. The site feels cheap, like you're in a Casino. Overall, a horrible experience and I feel robbed.
I signed up for 1 month and that is all. Kept sending the same people to me. I got out and they kept my profile on the site. A lot of scammers but you can filtered thru all of that junk and they use models for their homepage. So funny.
Also, never give out your email and phone number until you have emailed thru OurTime website. Many many times for each person you show interest. So many will say it is their last day so they want your email and phone number. Mark that ignorant. - you are setting yourself up for problems.
For us, ladies, I'm not interested in pursuing a man, as Steve Harvey says, the woman is the prize. I bow and agree to this statement.
Sign up get multiple flirts, messages. Pay for higher level of service most replies stop. Within 8 days of subscribing profile is hacked, and you are not able to get into your profile. Contacted customer service. Scripted replies. Refuse to refund subscription. Give you a new temporary password that never works...
ALERT ALERT ALERT... this site is a scam
I received many flirts & messages right from the start, which seemed encouraging and fun! But after only 2-3 weeks I realized that there were (at least) 5 "scam" men writing to me. They were all saying the exact same words. I reported this to Ourtime. Several times my profile was "not allowed", for what reason I never knew, they couldn't explain why. They blamed it on the "computer" sensing inappropriate words. BUNK! So I had to create a new password each time. Twice my profile was GONE, so I had to rewrite it. After 3 months (and three dates with nice men) I finally QUIT even though I had 3 months left on my membership. I quit because someone was using my photo & profile and flirting/messaging men - these men responded to "my" message, but I had never sent them anything! When I got an upsetting pornographic message, I called to quit the site. They gave me a hard time, but I think I'm finally off this very flawed site. Their advertising is attractive, but actually being on the site is disappointing, frustrating, and time-consuming. DO NOT JOIN!
I signed up for a trial on a Friday. It was evident by Saturday the app and website were crap and didnt work, ie. Very slow, links not working, difficult to navigate. Customer service is closed on Sat. And Sun., so I called first thing Monday morning to cancel my membership and was told Id be charged $22.00 for one full month of service. That was NOT authorized!
One hour later I noticed an additional $3.99 charge from Ourtime in my card. I tried calling Ourtime back and they had BLOCKED my number!
I called my bank and cancelled my card and filed fraud charges. This company needs to be investigated, fined and shut down.
This is the worse site ever. I always wait a week or so before becoming a paid member on any dating site and this was no exception. It did not seem normal to me that I had "300" notifications in my in-box in under a week. I noticed that under the "My View" tab, it had several pages of men that I supposedly view. That was not the case.
I created an account but didn't actually pay until 3 weeks after - when I received a great deal in an email. Fast forward to today, I log into my laptop and discovered that during the 3 weeks I wasn't a paying member, they would send fake messages to other members. Ourtime sent members that I clicked 'yes I would be interested' fake messages that; I made them my favorite member, I loved their pictures, I wanted to hear more from them, I had sent a flirt... which I had NEVER sent. That eventually triggered an email sent to those members that I had liked their profile somehow. And eventually, those members would reply back to my profile with either flirts or a response that would trigger an email back to me that someone had made me there favorite, or I have a message from a member, ect... all to entice me to pay to join.
Upon discovering that, I changed my profile to totally idiotic choices because no matter who sends me a flirt, message or like my pictures, how am I to believe it was sent from a real member and not just someone who looked at my profile or just computer generated. Well guess what? I am still receiving flirts and messages with my idiot profile and I can bet you they are not from any member because there is no way anyone would reply to my profile the way it is now posted.
I am surprised Ourtime has not been investigated yet. There is nothing legitimate about them. All they do is take money from people. Seriously, that's all they do.
My profile was automatically shown on match.com, which I was not at all aware of. Met people who had never heard of ourtime.com, and I believed they were members of ourtime.com. Weird. After I had finished my subscription they claimed that I had activated it again. Without any proof for that, they just took money from my credit card again. Not trustworthy!
As slow as molasses, click on links & it just sits there then after 30-45 seconds you have to click a second time as it just stops trying. Their networking needs work big time.
I'm familiar with dating sites, and this one is disappointing. For me, the biggest draw back is the auto responses - you might intend to send a simple "flirt" and then find out you sent a corny, pre-written message that you had no clue you were sending. Annoying and a little embarrassing, in some cases.
I'll stick with the sites that know what they're doing. This one doesn't seem to care much.
I've used a lot of dating sites in my late forties/ early fifties, ourtime ranks high on my list because it's so blooming simple (a bit like me ha ha)! Some sites I love (primetimelove.com a good example) but others I just do not get the appeal (e. G tinder ha ha)! Anyway hope you all find what you're looking for and have a good 2018!
Out off all the matches they sent, not one was a compatible match for me. They also kept sending women for some reason. I requested more than once to not send anymore women. They kept sending young men. I'm not young and want to retire soon. I don't want to wait 20 years for someone to be ready to retire. Save you $$$$. Don't do it.
There are perhaps a few "real" seniors on this website, but they definitely are in the minority. Based on my search criteria, Our Time claims I have 146 matches. The profiles for about 80% of these matches are so incomplete that they appear to be either bogus or whimsical. But in any case, not serious. About 90% of these matches have not been active at any time recently, which could mean they found somebody - or gave up in disgust like I have done. The primary purpose of this business seems to be to generate website traffic - which generates ad revenue for Our Time. I get an email from Our Time claiming that someone with a name like HollyGoLightly has made me her favorite. But when I go to the website, there is no indication that HollyGoLightly has viewed my profile, much less sent me a flirt or a message or made me her favorite. So I spend 5 minutes on the website and visit several pages looking in vain for HollyGoLightly. This generates ad revenue for Our Time, but is a total waste of My Time. So, in my considered opinion, Our Time will be a waste of Your Time - and money, if you are stupid enough to sign up.
What a waste of money. I paid for months, the broke my shoulder 3 weeks after joining. Called to put on hold, but was told no. Even if I hadn't injured myself, This is a total scam site. I show I've had 87 views, without 1 contact. I have contacted several people & wound up with a scammer from this site asking me for $25,000. Per Our Time's instructions, I reported it, but never heard from "so called investigator". STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE.
There are SO many things wrong with OurTime
- It will not "Remember me" for login.
- There is constant nagging to renew or "upgrade," i. E., pay more for features of questionable value. You see these annoying notices practically every time you click your mouse.
- It's very hard to narrow searches to distances near you. Impossible I think for "matches" that OurTime picks out for you.
- Yot can specify to see only profiles with a photo, but you still see profiles without photos.
- You get an email saying you have a message. You click See Message. Instead of taking you to the message it nags you... to reactivate or upgrade. (I turned off auto-renew, planning to quit when paid subscription is done.)
- OurTime will send you an email telling you you have a message, but really it's a "Flirt" (Flirts are pretty meaningless, like "Hi.)
- The interface for Messages is totally confusing.
If you are thinking about OurTime, you should know what a rotten dating site it is. As soon as my subscription is up, I am done with OurTime. What an aggravating waste of money.
I signed up for one Month and they still bill me after 4 months. This sounds like the Attorney General needs to step in. I was hit up 25 times by escorts with numbers. This was a joke and embrassing. To find a Quality Lady didn't mean a
Quality Lady that has dated everyone, No thanks.
Put this Business out of Business. I never reputed
My one time subscription and I've been billed for
Four months. FRAUD
Answer: Not sure what you mean by the shaded areas. But never mind, I agree with Alex H, don't get involved with them, they are just after your money. The reply rate is extremely low and the site is full of fake profiles. You will just lose your time with it ( like I did and I regret it). It's important to find a legit site, the site that should suit you best and I found mine: https://j4l.com/402007 It's 100% legit and valid and they don't resort to bots and fakes. I met my girlfriend through them so I know it's a working site!
Answer: They are charging me and I cannot get on this site, I want a refund as I have not been able to use this site,
