The product itself was not the issue. It seemed to be well made and had a very nice appearance. It just simply didn't fit my foot comfortably. I am hard to fit. I'm not flat footed but close. I was told as a child I have a "fallen arch." I wear orthotics and thought perhaps I could wear this sandal but the arch is too high for my foot and bangs into it when I walk. I think it would be very comfortable for a "normal" foot. Sadly, I returned the item.
