OpticsPlanet needed 2 and a half weeks to SHIP my 'in-stock' item. Midway USA had it TO ME in 4 days (including weekend).

4 months later still waiting for my items that "were in stock, ships in 1-3 days", just recieved my 5th email stating it is in stock now, do I still want my items I already paid for months ago? Best part you can only contact them through email that takes 5-10 day to reply back to you, I am not joking or even exaggerating and challange planet optics to rebuttal and prove any of my claims wrong! They were going to ship me an alternative that was in stock 2-months ago, 3 emails it was being shipped. This business has ZERO components, they obviously do not collaborate as departments, site is misleading or at the very least not well updated when 5 months later have not recieved one of several items "in stock, ships in 1-3 days" that was ordered seriously 5 months ago. I wouldn't wish this frustration on anyone and why I would suggest finding another online source to order from.

Found their listing in Ammoseek. Bought several boxes of shells they had "in stock". Paid for the shells, received a notice a day or so later stating that my shells were back ordered for 2-4 MONTHS. The notice went further to say that they predicted that I wouldn't see my purchase until mid-February of 2021.

This is a scam, a sketchy and shady business that anyone should avoid at ALL costs. ALL. COSTS.

This is not a legitimate company. I ordered a couple of items 10 days ago that were supposedly in stock and were stated to ship within 3-5 days. This morning I get an email notification that one of the items won't ship for 2 months. No mention of the other item at all. No one answers the phone and there is no way to leave a message. The cancellation process is beyond difficult, if you are able to do it at all. There is absolutely no reason for customer service as hideous as this. BUYER BEWARE!

This site has the absolute WORST customer service I have ever seen! They don't accept calls! They don't return calls! They advertise lots of items, but have none of then in stock! They don't ship what you ordered! This is a completely bogus company! They say they will ship within a few days, and after you pay, you get an email saying shipment might not happen until 3-4 months later! Talk about FAKE NEWS, this is a FAKE COMPANY! You are fore-warned! Don't buy anything from them!

I ordered an optic on July 6th, and the website gave me a 10-14 day shipping window. Nothing arrived, so I check in late July, and now it said it would be an 8-10 week delay. I checked again in late August, and now their website says they no longer carry this item, and I should call them about my order. WFT?! What kind of sleazy ripoff scam site it this? No communication from them at all - zero! No "sorry, change in status" or other notice, just silence. I am never EVER going near Optics Scamit again... I should have listened to all the other warnings plastering the internet. Oh, and Optics Planet (shady operators that the are...) just filters for 4 and 5-star reviews to link to their website... they ignore the THOUSANDS of 1 and 2-star reviews all over the web. Don't fall for it... this is a 1-star outfit.

Last July 3rd I purchased a pair of binoculars at opticsplanet.com
I chose this retailer because years ago I (uneventfully) bought another pair there, and the price was average.

One month later, the parcel is lost somewhere "in transit" in the USPS network. No further information about parcel location or estimated date of arrival.
The last "in transit" carrier update was on july 20, and according to Optics Planet policy, I'll have to wait 20 more business days from that july 20, for them to start looking at the issue. That will be around mid august.

Their customer support is good for nothing. Once the parcel is dispatched, contacting them is, besides very difficult, totally useless because they know nothing.

I've found (too late), that there are many people with similar complaints and they are rating this retailer very low.

To summarize:
You buy an item that might or might not arrive after many weeks waiting.
You can't cancel the order and get your money back because it is in transit.
It's not wise to buy again this item elsewhere, because you might end up with two units, if the first one eventually arrives.
They retain your money, waste your time, and if you were planning to use this product, say on a trip, forget about it.

Order something and pay an extra $50 for 1 day shipping yet they can't put it in a box until a week has passed. Break their own company policy by charging you before your order ships and who knows how long until that's back. Stay far far away if you want something in a timely manner.

Ordered a part from them on December 30,2019. It is STILL not shipped as of today, 23 June 2020. At least they haven't billed me for something thay don't have in stock.

Their subsidiary DVOR is even worse. They actually took my money 26 days ago, (over $300) and they claim the order is being processed, but NOTHING.

Good luck trying to call them. They are so screwed up that they don't bother to answer the phone. Sat on hold five time, for 20 minutes each time, just to be sent to voicemail which they admit they don't check.
