Ordered an in-stock complete upper, paid for and the email confirmation said it would ship within 11 days, two days before it was to be shipped, I went to track the order, OH now it want ship until next month. I placed an order that I needed in 5 days. I paid $40 for the express shipping and 4 days later my order was still "processing". I canceled my order and 10 days later, I am still waiting for a refund. Terrible customer service. This automated phone system never leads to a real person. Frustrated beyond belief.

Then I thankfully was able to cancel the order but then I went and they had already charged me on my bank account even though they state WILL NOT CHARGE UNTIL SHIP!

Be careful Opticsplanet. They utilize new IT software technology to provide different price to different customers. Double check by using different browsers from different IP address prior to placing order. You might find some items have different price.
One of the top reasons I used Optics Planet was their easy exchange policy. I bought a scope and realized it didn't have enough power for my old eyes. So I returned it for an exchange for another more powerful scope. When they exchanged the two scopes, I noticed that they removed my store credit (OP Bucks) that I used on my first scope purchase, and didn't re apply it ​toward the purchase of the replacement scope.
The scope that I ordered was advertised at a sale price of 10% off the retail. In the case of my new scope, it would save me $43.90. I wrote OP of these two discrepancies and they said they addressed those issues via a letter email sent to me. I never received any correspondence from OP. I called OP and the first person I spoke to, Shawnda, I explained my problem to her and she understood the problem and put me on hold, and then disconnected me. I called back, got Shawnda again and got disconnected again. The third time I called I spoke with Kiana. So I explained the store credit and the 10% discount were not applied in the sale of the exchanged replacement. Kiana told me they were applied to the sale, but that did not show on my account or on my bank statement. It was clear that the discounts were not given, looking at their online records and my bank charges. I said the only recourse I have is to return the exchanged scope, and Optics Planet agreed. They did nothing to work with me.
I ordered something that was in stock, then they back-ordered it for 12 months. After that, they shipped it to me and charged my credit card. The box arrived empty and they will not take a return or give me a refund. They are cooked scammers.
I ordered 9mm ammo in January 2021. Case of 10 boxes each with 50 rounds. Great price so I ordered them. It's now almost November and when I check my order status, it states a different date all the time. Pushing it back every time. They won't answer phone calls and when I e-mail them, I get the same redundant statement every single time. Ironically, the ammo I ordered is in stock and I can put many boxes of the ammo in my cart and it states in stock but they have never sent my order to me yet. Complete rip-off. They want me to cancel my order and pay a higher price for the ammo now that they have it in stock. Would NEVER order from them again. Much better experience with Outdoor Limited!
Ordered a item from this company what a joke 10/9/21 was supposed to receive my item and still nothing called 7 times to customer service and still have not resolved my problem they said it was USPS problem and to call them and then I tried canceling this order and they said I had to wait 15 days before I could get a refund don't order from this place they don't care about customer service and don't care about the customer what a waste of time and phone calls horrible
We purchased a product back in October 2020. We understood shipping would take a while, but what we didn't expect was for them to continue to push it back month by month until they decided to cancel it. They realized they would no longer make money on this order, so they decided to cancel it. Do not advertise a price if you're not going to honor it. We reached out to their customer service team multiple times and they always told us "It will ship once we have it in supply" but they are selling the same product today at a higher price. Scummy business practices, take your money elsewhere.
Absolutely poor customer service to try to help me or keep the sale. I had purchased a gun cabinet. It notified me that shipping was TBD. I had called them the next day to find out that it would only be shipped to me 9 days after, which I was good. Then they sent me a email again. Requesting that i pay freight after i was told that shipping was covered. Absolutely poor service and they have lost a customer.
Wrote customer service a question about any upcoming promotions they might have for the upcoming Veterans Day in 7 days from now. Asking because I was looking at a high dollar purchase. The response I received back was, if I were an account holder or member of optics planet I would know. Really? That's the response I get. Not no we sure are, but you will have to wait and see or I'll check for you. I am veteran, retired Army. This is how they treat their veterans.
Customer service is 0. The automated answering puts you on hold till you give up! Shipping is a joke 5 days after ordering the package is still in the original town. Never again>
Have twice ordered items. Once bullets and once brass. Supposed to be in stock. Delivery date pushed back repeatedly. Just checked now saying January 2022 for brass. Don't bother
Same issues as everyone else. They want your money so bad that they blatantly lie about inventory count and shipping delays. First purchase I made was not shipped for 2 months, so I canceled it and ordered from another vendor. That order arrived in 2 days from their competitor. OP shipped my 2+ months late order 5 days after I canceled it. I then had to ship it back, at my expense, to get my refund(which took another month). Second order was listed as "in stock"(not likely) and shipping 15-24 days. After 2 months, I blocked all transactions having to do with OP from my payment method. That did not keep them from attempting to charge me 4-5 times until they took the hint, almost 3 months from when I made the mistake of ordering from them for the last time. I finally blocked them from Chrome so I didn't have to see anymore of their lies in my search results. Just a horrible company that should never be at the top of any search results. You should pretend they just don't exist, as you will regret trying to save money by having them waste your time and money. Consider ordering from OpticsPlanet not to be an option, ever, for any price. You will regret it.
I purchased items on 4/22/21 and was told that one item would come in 5-7 weeks. I inquired by email starting on 6/8/21 since I can not call them. They have responded over and over that they can not get ahold of their warehouse. Copies of their responses:

My wife and I ordered a large amount of ammo last October. It was supposed to be shipped in one week, then that turned into one month then that turned into three months and here we are nine months later and still have not received our Ammo.
We've placed many calls, talked to them many times, and the best they could give us was a Shystie discount. Which is not a discount compared to what rate ammunition is going for right now today.
We ordered 223 ammo@. 58rnd. And they say here 9 months later that they can fill my order but they can only do it for $. 75rnd. ( and that's doing us a favor for after a year? That's preposterous!
You can get 223@ $. 35rnd right now on other sites "in stock"!
They ran me in circles over numerous calls and emails and long waits on the phone to end up with this kind of shenanigans.
We highly suggest going somewhere else. But the funny thing is which isn't so funny is that in order to place our order almost a year ago we had to give them our credit card number to secure the that price ( which they won't honor) so they've had our credit card info for almost a year now. Who knows what they've done with our information!
I highly recommend against buying anything from Optic Planet. I have been a customer of theirs for several years. In the past I have received items that looked like they were used or had been returned by another customer when I was expecting new items. One time I received an item that was the wrong item in the right packaging. These experiences were frustrating, but I understand human error so I didn't get too upset. However recently I was working out of the country and saw an item that was low stock so I purchased it in advance of my return. They sent me an email asking me a bunch of questions regarding export compliance. I replied with my answers and they sent the same email again. I replied to that as well and then they cancelled my order without notice. Note that I own and operate an export business so I am fully aware of compliance rules and I answered all their questions accordingly.
Now that I'm back home the item is out of stock, so I cannot get what I need. On top of it all they then had the nerve to send me an email asking how satisfied I was with my recent order!. They clearly have ineffective internal communication which only adds to the frustrations. I am done with Optics Planet forever and I will recommend that none of my colleagues or customers ever shop there.
Optics Planet has the worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. Their shipping program is horrible! I will never purchase from them again. Orders are not received as promised. They make excuses saying they cannot guarantee the shippers they use to deliver on time. Items do not even their warehouse for a week to ten days that are in stock. They charged me $31 for expedited delivery service (guaranteed 3 Days) then sent it USPS. It has been 6 days and the package is still being sent back and forth between the same USPS locations multiple times. $31 shipping for a $37 item that I needed quickly and they take no blame! I purchased an item from a competitor that was approximately the same size and weight that was delivered in 2 days by FedEx for $17. When I contacted them regarding my shipment I got an automated response making excuses for their lack of service and was told they would not refund my 3 Day Expedited delivery fees even though it has been 6 days and there is no delivery in sight! I suggest everyone to shop elsewhere!
Have purchased several times from this company and its affiliate Dvor.com. My experience has recently been that they cannot and do not ship at the time they state. They blame the shipper, but they didn't send the package to the shipper. Lied and told me 6 days ago it was shipped, but it didn't. Problems with returns. They said refund within 10 business days of receipt, yet agent told me 14 days, and then admitted she was wrong. They Lied again. 14 business days after receipt still nothing from refund, and then only store credit. THE PRICES LOOK DECENT SO IT ENTICES YOU TO BUY, BUT THEY CAN'T SEEM TO SHIP ON TIME, HAVE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LIE TO YOU! BUYERS BEWARE.
Ordered a product that was shown to be in stock and Checking Availability showed it would ship in 23 - 32 days. Different colors of the same product were all on backorder. A couple of days after the order was placed it changed to 100 plus days. I understand that things happen. I could wait. 45 days later, it shows shipping to be delayed for over 250 days from when it was ordered.
I got on the site and found another configuration that again showed in stock and shipping in 23-32 days. A different color on backorder but not the one being ordered. So I place the order. The next day this new order shows shipping over 200 days as well now.
Well, I go back to the item on the site and it is still showing that it is in stock and shipping in 23-32 days. It is not backordered or nothing stating that shipping will be delayed.
So I reach out to Customer Service. Just wanting to understand what happened. And to let them know that something may be broken. Yes I am frustrated. I explain the situation. The Agents gives me the song and dance that the manufacturer is behind. I explain that my complaint has nothing to do with that. It has to do with the Bait and Switch of telling me and other people right at this very moment that you can ship in 23-32 days when you cannot. AGent did what he was trained to do and towed the company line. Etc...
However, it did not resolve anything. I am sure this Agents leadership at Optics Planet has no interest in knowing that they are either misrepresenting themselves (nice way of saying lying) or a system is broken and not updating correctly (assuming they have integrity).
Due to the Agent not offering to pass on info, or unable to offer any solution as my complaint was the misrepresentation. The culture there is for the Customer Service people to just be a barrier between the customers and leadership. So just shut up and give us your money.
Answer: They ripped us off too. I'm going to file a BBB complaint and will mention I'm not the only one the took $$ from and never delivered my order and accused us of lying about it.
