I will never purchase from them again! Will definitely be there loss I spend on average 10 grand a year in outdoor and shooting items and just put it simple they lie to you about when your items will ship and what they truly have in stock! If I could give them a negative rating I would! DONT BUY FROM THEM!
I have heard that in the past, optics planet would take forever to ship. I have used them now for several builds, had to do a return so I feel like I have some experience with them and its been all positive. There customer service is exceedingly responsive and they any old issues about not shipping quick must be a past issue, I have never experienced it
Horrible experience they kept telling me my package would ship next week for 2 years then canceled my order. I wrote a review on their website and they denied my review... optics planet choses which reviews to post. Lost my business for life.
I wanted a specific barrel and a slide parts kit for a Glock 19. They had both in stock. They said free shipping would take about a week, and that worked with the time it would take to get other parts. The order was handled the next day, I ordered in the evening, and they provided me DHL shipping advice. DHL took days to do anything with it, and when they did provide tracking information they said it would arrive 13 days after it was ordered. Well they aren't doing themselves any favors. I ordered on the 18th and it shipped on the 19th. I just saw that DHL uses the USPS for deliveries and they handed it to my local post office on the 25th. So it should arrive on the 26th which will be 7 days after it was shipped. Not bad. I've shopped with them before and I wouldn't hesitate to shop with them again.
Order placed on 1/17 with no shipping update passed "label created". Was told shipping updates take up to 5 days to post, now day 5 with the same stagnant shipping info. Now I was sent a generic response of blah, blah, blah... for the past 3 months..."oy vey", never mind. Will not order anything from this outfit again.

Ordered 357 mag brass in November. Was "in stock " when Ordered. As of today expected delivery 9/2022. One email stated delivery 2/2022. As of today delivery 9/2022. For something that was in stock. Needless to say order has been canceled
If you have any self respect, BUY ELSEWHERE. They never delivered my order that they said was delivered, so I contacted them and after two days of basically being called a liar I thought is was resolved because they said they issued and completed my refund witch never happened. Then said they want us to pay the $$ back that they say they refunded, even though there was never a refund issued. So, they are wanting us to pay 2x for something we didn't receive. First it said it went to Pennsylvania, then it said it was delivered on the 12th and then said it was delivered on the 14th. They had me walk all around my house 2x and disturb my neighbors to see if my package went to one of their homes to no avail. They made me do this because we didn't receive our order. On top of this we have been waiting 15 months on 300 rounds they dont even sell anymore and 200 that is still on back order, but on store shelves. I'm forced to file a BBB complaint and hope they can resolve this debacle. Definitely do not recommend this company.
I ordered a product from them and while checking out I check the standard shipping that's 3-5 business days. After it shipped it said it wouldn't be arriving for 2 weeks. So I called their customer service number and they said that's just how it is and there wasn't anything they could do. They wouldn't refund any of the shipping charges. They are a joke of a company and will never be using them again
I should have read the reviews before dealing with these fools. I placed two separate orders, both were in stock at the time of ordering. A month later, no delivery. I cancelled both orders. It seems the customer service do not know the company processes and have no idea what they are doing. One of the items was a $4299 thermal scope. After three weeks of a runaround and reading the other reviews, I'm done with Optics Planet. It's amazing they are in business. A complete scam. Don't waste your time like I did. The rating needs to be zero stars.

Had an order sit for months unfulfilled and backordered because I had locked in a low price on the item I had ordered. When it became apparent I would be patient and wait for my item (at the price I purchased it for) they unilaterally cancelled the order and said they were cancelling because I hadn't answered their emails regarding the item. Checked all my emails to include spam and junk and no trace of an email regards my order. Total BS. Advise you to do your business with reputable folks elsewhere.
Placed my order in April 2021 kept changing date now shipping will be April 2022, Really optics planet never ever will I order anything from this place. Now lets see how long it takes to get money back. Ill say a month.
The item I ordered arrived broken. They sent it through UPS then transferred it to the USPS for delivery. The item was packed poorly and no sign of damage on the box. I contacted them and they want me to file a claim with the carrier. This is a crock. I will not order from them again. Poor customer service. They sent an email asking me to send pics to QaQc then sent another email to send 9 pics to logistics. They don't have a clue how to proceed. Good luck if you order from them.
OpticsPlanet's website said they had QTY. 2 of the scope rings I needed, so I ordered. The next day I received an email that a shipping label was created. For 2 weeks, tracking my order only shown that a shipping label was created. I missed an important shooting match in-between this time that it was not delivered. At this time nothing was shipped and "Label Created" was all their website would show. On the second weekend my item did not show up, I decided to call on Saturday (it had now been 2 1/2 weeks since I ordered on a Wednesday). The first phone call I was disconnected after they answered. The next phone call, the lady said "It was funny that I was disconnected". I was not impressed. I asked to have my money returned but they refused because the policy was for them to receive the returned item first and then return for store credit. I explained I do not have the item because you have not shipped anything and I would like my money back. Since they had not shipped anything at this point, I begged that they return my money and I explained I would no longer want to do business with them. They refused. I asked to speak to her manager. She put me on hold, came back, and explained the manger was busy. She then went on to explain they had twenty in stock. It would appear that they never had any in stock, they held my money until they did, made me miss my event, and caused me stress due to their poor business practices. That following Monday, the website showed that my item had shipped.
I received it that next Thursday. It too over 3 weeks to get my item. I feel I was lied to. I can't tell anyone what to do, but in the future, I will never buy from OpticsPlanet again, and I will tell everyone in the shooting community about my bad experience with them. This was a small $62.00 purchase and I buy thousands of shooting gear a year. I hope they feel it was worth the small amount of profit they made of of my infinitesimal purchase because they will lose lots of business for this blunder. Treat your customers with honesty and respect.
I order a lot of gun stuff, and I've ordered a lot from optics planet. Optics planet, is somewhere between incompetent and $#*!ed. They are clueless. And when you call them on the phone, after being on hold for an hour, you get some nincompoop, who doesn't know which way is up. Douglas
After almost a year of waiting for an item to be in stock, my order was canceled. Apparently, the price went up and they didn't want to honor my order. They ignored my email inquiries. I will never order from them again.
I ordered an expensive pair of binoculars from OP. They were sold at a substantial discount, and arrived quickly.
Although the binoculars I'd ordered were very good, after trying them, I decided I preferred another brand which OP didn't carry. I contacted OP, and quickly received a return authorization and a prefilled UPS address label. The return was successful, and OP issued a complete refund, 5 days sooner than I expected. (They had 10 business days to issue the refund, but did it within 5).
I can't think of any way this transaction could have been more perfect, or demonstrated more integrity. Will I buy from them again? In a heartbeat!
I purchased the wrong part for my friends birthday gift and returned it with in 5 days 5 months laden now haven't received my money yet and im still waiting I've called 5 times the thing that bothers me more i was referred to optics shame on optics lame business owners.

OpticsPlanet has morphed into a 1st class libtard vendor who's customer services are non existent and flat out lies about "free shipping over x amount of $$$" Over the past 3 months I have spent a boat load of cash with them, constantly going over the required amount of purchase to qualify for free shipping and each and EVERY time had to pay. Today was the last draw - I ordered a "restricted" item (according to them) which was a knife and they wanted me to show my federal credentials which I did by iPhone photo and emailed (for their review) and today I get another notice that I need a letter from my department stating that I have "permission" to purchase such an item. Excuse me... I'm a Federal Officer... authorized by law to purchase restricted items which aid in the execution of my duties as such. Nope, we're done with OP, found what I was looking for on another site, purchased it with NO issues. The kicker... I tried to close my account with OP only to have them say that "you can request to delete your personal information so it will not be sold." Umm... that's NOT what I asked. I said to close my account with immediate effect, nothing about privacy issues. Finally it got done but they hemmed and hawwed in the process.
Close your account, don't look back... there are plenty of vendors out there that appreciate and reward you for trusting them with your hard-earned dollars. OP has turned into a joke, and I'm even more disappointed in myself for staying with them this long.
Placed an order for 9mm ammo in Oct of 2020. They advertised a 5-7 week lead time and the best online price for that product. After over a year of waiting now I finally wrote a review directly on their site about this whole experience which was rejected by them because "it didn't focus on the product itself" I will admit I did go off on how I've never received an email or phone call from their lousy customer service dept. Giving me a direct answer as to why my order will not ship but they are selling the same product for twice the price to other customers, they just keep pushing my ship date out every month. If you do read other reviews on their site they all say the same thing. Best thing to do is to NOT DO BUSINESS WITH optics planet. Hands down the worst online company I've done business with.
Answer: They ripped us off too. I'm going to file a BBB complaint and will mention I'm not the only one the took $$ from and never delivered my order and accused us of lying about it.
