I pay my bill via another account's online bill pay. Recently my payment went to OPenSky on 11/30 for payment due 1/6. OpenSky did not post it until 12/18 & charged a late fee. Of course, their customer service is non-yielding to customer complaints of payment not timely posting eventhough my payment habits have consistently been timely and for most of the outstanding balance. I can not wait to get rid of this acct. They report to the credit around the 8th of the month. I'm noticing that each month this acct. Activates a increase & decrease to my score because they report on the 8th month and due to my ontime payment posting delay the credit report gets hit twice in one method. Something is wrong with this practice. Beware.

The worst

This card complete BS! First off to make a Payment is the most difficult I've ever experienced. And then they charged my a $25 check fee because I entered my debit card instead of account number when I did it with the account number first and it didn't work that way either! And customer service is no help whatsoever. I do not recommend this card to anyone and will be closing it ASAP

Don't do it

Worst idea ever. There is no customer service unless they send you a late payment notice.
Their app barely works. For a month I tried to make payment and it kept telling me that I couldn't make duplicate payments. When there wasn't a first one.
Some payments never showed up but it was taken out of my account.
They removed my bank account cuz apparently a payment was denied which is bull, again I checked with the bank. They said I had to go open a bank account at a new bank in order to pay off what I owed. In all because of their lack of customer service, a card that was meant to boost my credit hurt it by 46 points.

Ok opened an secured account to build my credit score some more.
I was at a 710.
Sent them $200 for secured card.
Received a $35 bill for activation before I received card, that's ok.
Received card, paid off $35.
Used it for $28 then paid it off immediately with my debit card.
Next month first report they took 32 points off my credit for opening the account, at least that's why it says on credit karma.
Called and asked why, was told it shouldn't affect negative.
Was advised to call Equifax and get complete copy of credit mailed to them at a po box? Who uses a po box?
Anyhow they said if I did that they would clean up their mistake within 30 days or so.
So I did it.
Well next day opensky took another 26 points off my credit! Literally the next day I got an alert from credit karma and checked it hoping the first mistake maybe was cleared but no it was informing me that the other 26 points were taken.
Lady at open sky said she never seen this.
So here I am day 3 trying to deal with this which took me from decent credit to almost poor in 2 days...
I think I made a horrible decision on opening this account at this point.
Wish I never did to be honest.
Now they basically ruined my credit in 2 days.
With a secured card at that, and I utilized under 20 percent.
Not sure where I go from here but what a headache and major set back.
Damn, man. Smh

Hoping to get this cleared and now I feel trapped to this company because it will effect me even more negatively if I cancel the card.
I almost feel like a hostage at this point.
All for sending them my $ cash.
Wish I could just tell them to keep the $200 put my points back and we are even, you made $200 for les then a month.
Unfortunately don't work that way.

I know things happen and if they clear it up I will 100 percent come back and out a positive review for them.
I'm not here to bash the company, but from the way it went down I'm sure you can understand my frustrations.

Out of no where i got a call that my account was closed (which took my credit from 750 to 699). 2 months ago, they STILL havent refunded my $300 deposit. Every time i call they say its being sent

Absolute Scam - avoid
November 26, 2020

Applied and made Deposit payment in July 2020, was approved and waited for card. Rather than a card a bill arrived. We paid it, and continued to wait for the card. Called customer service to find out about the card and was given the run around. Another bill arrived which we paid. Rechecked the terms, to find one annual fee for $35.00, no monthly. Yet another call, that was no help. Finally, mid November we requested our deposit back, they tried to bill us for more money, we told them they have provided zero service and we would not pay. They say the check is in the mail, but I'm not holding my breath. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

THE WORST COMPANY EVER

Please refrain from opening a card from Open Sky. I am appalled and quite disgusted that NerdWallet and other providers have the audacity to recommend this company. Horrible. Worst company ever.

They take your payment and Hold it in their files until your Due date passes, then they Charge illegal late fee over limit fee and then report Negatively to All the Creditors
They scam you out of your money, do not trust them
I had $600 on my credit card and they would not let me use my own money! Horrible company
Below I sent payment in on 8 th, the rep at Open Sky told me the purposely held my Money Order (equivalent to cash) to Charge me on the 20th

I applied and was approved for this card. I paid the $200 for the credit limit. And keep receiving emails saying I need to give in a picture of my id and I did that when I FIRST applied. 2 weeks later I received the same email and I'm unable to reach anyone to resolve it. I spoke to someone after 20 minutes on hold and was switched to a department that doesn't exist. I called back again and was on hold for 28 minutes with no answer. I want my money back. This is the worse experience. I feel like this company is fraudulent.

This stupid company put a block requesting proof of address which i sent a lease agreement credit card bill and 2 other docs. These $#*!ed idiots still wouldn't take the block off so i requested my money back and i will choose another card! I NEVER seen a credit card company so complicated and INCOMPETANT! I hate these stupid people where the hell they find these idiots especially the security dept and supervisors?

Do not wast your valuable time which you could be using to actually build your credit. This company is a complete scam and will do the exact opposite of what they advertise. I was totally disappointing and closed the account at which point they were to issue me a refund of my 200 deposit which turned out to be a bad check and coast me bank fees.

I havnt even received my card yet, I was just calling to ask a few questions.
First question was where my card may be?
2nd question, the machine talking said I had an avaliable credit of $165 when I put $200.00 for ky line of credit deposit.

After I got done asking these simple 2 questions the lady on the phone just said oh God and HUNG THE DAMN PHONE UP! I WAITED 24 MINUTES ON HOLD for this!?!?!? Worst damn decision I have made this year soo far was to open a damn credit card account with this company!

If this is how they are before I have even received my credit card how the hell are they going to perform when I have my card?

I REALLY hope this was just a person having a bad day and it doesn't reflect the overall company... because I have been reading nothing but horrible reviews on this card today. Something I should have done before I opened the card I know..

Be very careful when applying for this card.
I applied and submitted a $400 payment to open the account.
I received an email stating the card was in the mail. After 3 weeks I had not received the card. I called customer service (a nightmare) and after being bounced around and calling back for over an hour, I was finally told that my account had been put on hold.
This was after "the card is in the mail."
They wanted a letter stating I lived at the address on my application!

I requested my money back, was told it would take 6 weeks. 2 days ago I received a credit card statement where they deducted the $35 fee.

Be very wary of these crooks.

SCAM

So I got this card to slowly work on my credit. The first payment is $35 which I paid. (They only accept bank accounts and routing numbers) This transaction was on October 7th. Today, they try to FINALLY process the payment. Today is October 19th. I called customer service because there is now an additional charge of $27 for the funding reversal. Im confused how you can process a fee on your own money..." your money is being held, you're using money from the bank". They refuse to process the payment which their website is misleading and they refuse to drop the fee. This company is trash. My advice is to pay it and let it get lost in your wallet. NEVER use it... thats for sure.

I HAD "2 FAILED PAYMENTS" AFTER I HAD PROOF THERE WAS NO ATTEMPT TO COLLECT MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT AND THEY REFUSED TO UNLOCK MY CARD. THEY ARE THE WORST- EVERY "SUPERVISOR" YOU SPEAK WITH HAS A DIFFERENT ANSWER. NO ONE KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. THEY ARE THE ABSOLUTE WORST! PLEASE DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID.
I SENT THEM THE PROOF I HAD MONEY ON MY ACCOUNT AND THEY STILL SAID SO WHAT. THEY ARE NO GOOD. NOT WITH CUSTOMER CARE/ NOT WITH RESOLVING A CUSTOMER ISSUE/ AND EVERYTONE IS CLUELESS!

I mail off a money order on 9/29/2020... and today is 10\12\20... my payment still have not post to my account... I have even track the money order, and open sky have not cash my payment yet... I even made sure that it was mail to the correct address... I am very upset... where is my 150.00 payment!
