I opened this card 7 months ago, I have been using 10%-30% of it and paying early. I have been checking my credit report and the card doesn't even show on my report. Totally a waste of time these months. I have read very good reviews on it which is why I got it however, it has not helped my credit at all. Every time I try calling they keep me waiting for more than an hour and I end up hanging up. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY it's a SCAM for me at this point.

I got my open sky card about a month ago! I deposited 200 dollars for my credit line, after using it immediately when I received it, I spend 50 percent which was 100 dollars. The following week I paid my balance of even though it wasn't due at the time. A week later my credit score went up exactly 48 points in less than a month once the credit bureau added it on. I am now waiting on the other two credit bureaus to start reporting as well. I'm beyond satisfied. The key is to pay early from what I'm noticing.

Yeah they said opensky are good but it was opposite that I was expected they said they dont run your credit Im just starting to build my credit history and beacuase of some reviews that they only ask for $ 200.00 security deposit which I prvided to them and later on they ask me to download my Bank account statement, the Colored copy of my social security card and also I provided them with the colored copy of my US Passport and now obviously they already have my personal information and my entire Identity suddenly after few days they ask me again to download the same documentation which is I provided them again for the second time. Now the bad news is they Denied my application for the reason that they couldn't verify my date of birth which is big B' S' thats why it turn out it was disappointment now what should I do because they have all my personal information and Identity hoping they wont sale or use it in any ways now they promise me that they will return my security deposit and untill now I haven't receive any refund yet shame to this company hope everyone think first before applying to this opensky secured credit card.

These post about how "horrible" this card is kind of have to make me laugh. It's like people forget that this card if for in the first place. Chance are if you are getting an OpenSky card, its because your score is so bad that you can't even get one of the other secured cards on the market.

That happened to me after a job loss last year, which resulted in all my accounts getting charged off and my score plummeted to a measly 499. OpenSky was the ONLY card I could get. So I got it with a $500 credit limit and used it for small things like my netflix, spotify, etc subscription and paid if off when the bill was due.

Yes the app looks like it was made in the 90s, and while it takes forever for the available balance to updated (which shouldn't be an issue if you are using the card properly - you aren't supposed to use more than 30% of your balance anyway) the statement balance is is updated immediately which is important because it lowers your utilization.

Despite all the less than pleasant thing about this card. Guess what? I don't care. WHY? Because after making two on-time payments in the month since I had my card, my score went up 120 points (yes you read that right) to the low 600s. So this card is doing what it's supposed to.

This is NOT a card you keep for your lifetime. It's a card you use to get back on your feet so you can get the cards with the top notch customer service and perks when your credit is worthy of it. Once you qualify for unsecured cards, cancel it and get your money back and be grateful someone gave you the chance to rebuild your financial life.

I never took care of my credit until I was looking into buying a house was told i needed a 580+ credit score to start process. I did not want to add another inquiry to my credit so i opted for the open sky visa. Added $400 after 3 months of good payment history credit score went from 481 to 594! Not perfect but I'll take it. I have never had a problem with them, the app is pretty self explanatory the first payment did take 1-2 weeks to post now on my 4th month the available credit is updated a day after my payment. Just stay under 10-30% usage and your credit will rise fast.

YOU GUYS ARE $#*!ING TRASH! My best friend (whom happens to be schizophrenic) didnt know better and was approved for a credit card provided she pay a $200 deposit-- she paid it online and *NEVER received the $#*!ing card* She has been literally, calling every other say since the end of May 2020 trying to get her $200 back; WAITING UP TO 45 MINUTES ON HOLD and I'm sitting right next to her as you guys make $#*! up as to why the checks been sent back to you guys 3 times due to address issues etc. Its another 10 minutes (that WE wait, every day) to talk to the dumb $#*! manager who is almost as stupid but DEFINITLEY as full of $#*! as the customer service reps! () FINALLY? They said they would FEDEX it OVERNIGHT IT etc BUT CAN NEVER PROVIDE A TRACKING NUMBER & guess what its $#*!ing september and my girl is still patient YET confused, YOURE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF INNOCENT PEOPLE WITH MENTAL HEALTH ILLNESS/DISADVANTAGE and I hope to god somebody shuts your bull$#*! down

I got the card 7 months ago, my credit score did increase fairly quick! But if you're looking for customer service or any other kind of help besides putting money on your card and making online payments then this card isnt for you. No live agent, no help at all whatsoever, when making a payment its taken 14 days to process! By that time you have incurred a late fee so be very careful and cautious with this card. If you setup an early payment and it fails just one time open sky permanently blocks that payment method or card your paying with and you'll never be able to pay with that card again. I wouldn't recommend this card at all! I was very careful and on time every payment and my score did go up! But, feels almost like a trap! Dont use this card there are much better cards available. Open Sky has to have the absolute worst customer service. I would venture to say that don't care. Opened card with a deposit. Took over a month to receive my card in the mail. Phone number and contact info for the company is nearly non existent. Once I obtain the card, it declines in many stores; despite plenty of available credit and zero late payments. When I do get in touch with a human by phone, they don't care and can't/wont help. Awful company. They take advantage of people with poor credit and little means. I received my first bill with the annual fee before receiving my card. Open Sky was recommend to me by several financial advisors and credit repair specialists. I can't imagine why. The ONLY positive statement I have for this company is that they require no credit check. That isn't worth the aggravation. The photo I am posting is their "customer service " number. This is how long before on hold, without a single human answer, today. Terrible company.

Cons- take long to report to bureau, payments takes some time to post. Customer service can be a bit annoying at time. I tried calling to inquire about some late payments being removed off my credit a few mths ago. As soon as i asked the question the Agent said i must be crazy and that they don't so that. I thought a unfortunately Mr Moss we can't fulfilled this request would have suffice. I went through a time where i lost my job and wasn't able to pay my bills. I got back on track and was just asking the question

Pros- open to increase of limit, accessibility via online, no issue with decline cc or defaults. Besides the late payments on my credit, i love this card

I hate that I applied and received this card. Like everyone else is saying this card and the customer service is horrible. I have been calling for three days and no one has answered after being on hold for over an hour each time. They have not reported anything to the credit bureaus as of yet and All of my payments have been on time whenever they decide to actually process my payments. And once the payment is processed it is not even applied to your account until weeks later. This is just not a good card or a properly run company! I am going to cancel this card if I can ever get a hold of someone. Also the App is not helpful at all

The card works fine when it is working. The customer service is non existent. If you have an issue they ask that you communicate by regular paper mail. Payments are made by bank draft. I make all my payments on time and in full. They take the money from my account and when I check the app it says my payment is processed and my balance is zero. It also says my available balance is 0 too. Come to find out that they don't release your line of credit for a full 7 days after your payment has been made. Very inconvenient at times.
