I am a hobbyist building model miniature engines and other small models. I was searching for a source for small metal stock. My usual suppliers have disappeared. No more "hardware stores" carry the selections I need. Online metals does! I will be ordering more pieces as I go on with these projects.

Online Metals is pretty much the only place I order my metal from. I'm not ordering large quantities (not even close!), as I'm just a hobby machinist feeding his habit. After I place an order from them, I have it within a few days, which is awesome! Customer service is very helpful if say…,…,…some guy looks at a print, orders the wrong size material & calls to change the order for the right size.
I mean, idk who would do that, but when it happens they make it a friendly, easy & fast experience.
Last order I placed, I called about some "off cuts" and/or "drops". I was told about their Protoboxes, what a lovely thing those are! From now on when I place an order, there will definitely be a Protobox or 2 coming with it. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend them.
