The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

I ordered tickets through this company and was shipped the wrong tickets in someone else's name. You cannot get a human on the phone and you only get a generic automated response from e-mails.DO NOT BUY TICKETS FROM THIS COMPANY
We were charged for our tickets, never received them, and then disputed with Chase, our bank. They refunded us, but then Onlinecitytickets, disputed with Chase! Now we are out almost $500, and have to spend our time proving to Chase that we never got our tickets. We, luckily, kept all of our emails with onlinecitytickets, and hopefully Chase will refund us.
This website lied to me and charged me a lot more money then they should have. They also have no humans to talk to in customer service. They are horrible liars and cheaters. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! They are an awful website with people who apparently need money that they didn't deserve from other people. DONT EVER ORDER FROM HERE! Learn from my mistakes
I was directed to this site after looking for Tyler Perry at the Atlanta's Fox Theater. I thought I was purchasing from the Fox but after my transaction was completed, I realized that I was re-directed to Online City Tickets. The tickets here are twice face value and customer service is horrible! There are no REFUNDS even less than 24 hours of purchase. They got me this time but will never get me again. BE AWARE OF THIS THIS "company" and never purchase anything from them!
Not where did they tell me this transaction was in American Funds. So what I thought was a GREAT deal ended up being more expensive... they charge you just to email the tickets... save your money and use another site!
I bought tickets from them for a summer concert 3 months in advance. When I realized how much they where compared to get tickets though Ticket Master I immediately called and try to dispute the tickets and they said all ticket where final. I only called 2 weeks later to cancel. I spent $306 for 4 ticket from them verse $164 from ticket master. I WILL NEVER BUY TICKETS FROM THEM AGAIN!
I hope others do not either! WORST COMPANY
NEVER BUY TICKETS FROM THEM! THEY ARE A RIPOFF!
I bought some tickets on line. After they took the payment, I had never received the email to download the tickets. I emailed them twice but no response. I called and they said I need t take some action to download the tickets. Like what? I even didn't receive the link. And they ignored my two emails. Plus, I paid over $200 but it only showed the half price on the tickets. Don't trust them. I will NEVER buy with them again.
I ordered tickets in May for an August concert. I got my tickets the same day, then got an email the next day telling me the tickets were not valid. I have been fighting since May to get the correct tickets. I finally got another set emailed to me. When I asked the customer service representative if the tickets were correct. Her answer to me was if you are unable to get into the concert call us from the venue. THIS IS WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH! They charge you more and have no customer service! Don't waste your time or money!
I thought was buying from Ticketmaster guess I got pushed over to On line city tickets for my tickets I purchase way back in March for Shania Twain paid a premium for tickets that thought was on floor level based on there map of arena when went to event they where in the nose bleed section. Just let everyone know that you going to get taken if you use them.
Bought what were supposed to be two amazing seats at the James Taylor concert in Nofolk, Va. When we arrived at the venue, the ticket-taker refused our tickets, stating they were fraudulent, and sent us to the "Will Call" box office. My wife and I ended up in the nosebleeds behind people who wouldn't shut up throughout the concert. Online City Tickets would not refund. I was not only out my pride, but over $300. DO NOT USE THESE SCAM ARTISTS. IFI COULD GIVE THEM NO STARS, I WOULD.
Had to cancel tickets within an hour of ordering. Only response was all sales are final. You have NO consumer protection from these guys. Outrageous service charges and e-mail delivery charges. Their site makes you think you are dealing directly with the venue. VERY SLEAZY!
My boyfriend and I bought Ed Sheeran tickets on this website that were marked at 112$ each, of course to our surprise like everyone else who doesn't know the background of this website, they slapped on 100 extra dollars in service fees. We were a bit upset about being scammed, but decided to suck it up since the tickets were selling out everywhere by the minute. We arrive to the venue for the concert on 6/26/15 and have our tickets scanned to enter, both read ALREADY USED. These scumbags sold multiple copies of our seats to different customers, basically going on a "first come first serve" policy. We end up standing outside of the venue for an hour humiliated trying to get ahold of someone from this company to find out what the hell was going on. After being on hold for 15 minutes they tell us they will open up an investigation and get back to us the next day- so frankly- we weren't getting into the concert. We paid over 300$ to sit on the sidewalk and hear Ed sing. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE!
BE CAREFUL IN BUYING ANY TICKETS TO ONLINE CITY TICKETS. THEY ARE VERY SNEAKY WITH WHAT YOU SEE ON THEIR WEBSITE, SO BETTER READ THE FINE PRINTS VERY CAREFULLY OR AFTER READING THIS REVIEW DON'T EVEN GOING TO THEIR WEBSITE. I'M TRYING TO REFUND MY MONEY BACK BECAUSE NAME ON THE TICKET IS DIFFERENT AND IT BELONG TO OTHER PERSON AND THEY SAID THAT THEY CAN OT REFUND MY MONEY BACK. VERY VERY FRUSTRATED CUSTOM! DON'T BUY TICKETS FROM ONLINE CITY TICKETS PERIOD.
I bought two very expensive tickets to The Eagles concert and ended up sitting behind a Plexiglass wall with a hand rail at eye level. After a few emails with no real help, I'm just giving up on any compensation. I feel I should only have to pay for an "obstructed view" seat. DO NOT use this service!
Went on www.onlinecitytickets.com, thinking it was a part of Ticketmaster. Bought 3 overpriced tickets for $80USD each which I could've gotten on Ticketmaster for $60CAD. Checked my credit card bill, and it turns out I paid $405CAD for them. It was fishy when I realized I didn't get an actual receipt after the purchase. I had to log in to the website in order to check the order summary. Turns out service charge was $72USD with an Instant download fee for $7.50USD. Three tickets added up to $319 USD! I live in Canada and live 30 mins away from the show. I never intended to pay in USD for these tickets. Considering the horrible exchange rate, I ended up paying $405CAD for these tickets, which I could have gotten on Ticketmaster for much cheaper, and in CAD. Called them for a refund, but of course they say no refund. Horrible customer service. He couldn't tell me why the service charge is so expensive. I asked him if his company values making money off customers this way. He couldn't respond and keeps directing me to the webpage to prove that all tickets are charged in USD. He told me all I can do now is resell the tickets online. Hung up on me and said there's nothing else they can do to retain customers. Extremely upsetting!
My stepson used my Mastercard without my permission and purchased 2 tickets for a concert to be held on September 26,2015. Order # *******. The order was placed on June 16,2015 at 7:23AM. As soon as I recieved (at 7:37 am) confirmation via email, 14 minutes later, I immediately called to cancel. The office was closed. So I emailed 3 different times, again within 14 minutes of placing order to please cancel. I recieved no emails or phone calls. At approx 10:00am after waiting on hold for 20 minutes I was disconnected. I called back waited about 10 minutes and spoke to a Customer service Rep. I was told they are a 3rd party vendor and have a no refund policy. I explained my situation which had no bearing on this unbreakable policy. I asked why they couldn't and she responded by telling me they had already placed the order. Then I said how you do that while being closed? Furthermore, if you did purchase tickets I asked "What are my row and seat numbers" She was unable to answer.
Just wanting to know if the e-tickets I bought are actually going to get me in the venue.
I was trying to buying six$5 tickets for the Cavs Watch party. An affordable night out with my family ended up being charge $202. A financial nightmare.
I accidentally purchased only 1 ticket rather than 2 tickets for a concert that is coming up end of July and immediately called and emailed onlinecitytickets to request that they add an additional ticket to my current order so i don't have to pay the $36 service fee and the $25 Fedex shipping fee again and they refused they said they would give me $10 off only and would need to create a new order...
This is the last time I purchase tickets from them. I will always stick to ticketmaster!
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
