The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

I received my ticket and the seat I requested on the date I was told to expect it. After reading so many negative reviews I was afraid of the outcome. But I went to the event and was right in front of the stage like I wanted. The only negative about this company is paying more than the actual price of the ticket which is unfortunate. Otherwise, all went well.
The ticket price was reasonable, then there was a service charge of almost as much as each ticket. THEN A DELIVERY CHARGE of $30 to email the tickets that you only found out about after you confirmed the purchase so that the extra $30 was a complete surprise when you couldn't change your mined. These guys should be out of business.
I bought 2 tickets to see Don Henley and I got what I paid for. You have to read what your buying, most people are mad about the service fee, but if you read what you're purchasing you shouldn't be mad. The concert was wonderful too!
I bought 2 tickets and the total amount is 2 times higher then what I had when I was placing my order. I tried calling the customer service number but I get a voice mail. How can I get my money back?
Purposely hide service fees, currency rates and have misleading ticket prices. Will charge you 1000x what they are worth. Worst customer service I have ever experienced, all automated and after days of finally trying to get a human on the phone, once I did she was extremely rude. Such a bad experience with this company that it makes me want to take legal action against them.
This is by far the worst site I've ever purchased tickets on. If they don't get shut down soon then I'll be surprised because they have been lying to their customers. NEVER buy tickets from these people unless you want to spend unnecessary amounts of money and then be refused a refund because of something THEY are at fault for. They have stupid policies and are atrocious with customer service.
We ordered 4 tickets at $74 each... after we keyed in out information and credit card the price went throughout at $14.00 U.S...$1900. 00 Canadian! Still fighting with our credit card people to reverse. When we call the 1-844 number we get a voice mail for a DENTIST! Do not order from these guys... whoever they are... feel violated!
I ordered Tickets from this site guaranteed for a certain section, needless to say I didn't receive what I payed for. I payed four times the ticket price for these tickets because they were guaranteed to be where I wanted to be sitting. Instead I was sent seats in a totally different section ( not even close to being as good of tickets) the actual tickets I received are on there site for 200 dollars less than the seats I payed for. Also the Tickets I originally ordered and payed for are available on there site for more money now. I called customer service and all they did was argue with me that the tickets were comparable. I go to this venue regularly and these people Im sure have never sat foot in the place. Feel like I am rambling so I will end with this. GO ANY WHERE BUT ONLINE CITY TICKETS IF YOU WANT WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
Bought tickets to Rob Thompson for a Saturday event 3 months in advance. Ten days
Before show I get an email, show has been moved to a Thursday night six weeks from
Day the concert was originally scheduled. Call OnlineCityTickets to tell them can't make that show due to other obligations and time conflicts. Sorry, your out $300.00.
DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THESE GUYS. THEY ARE MISLEADING AND YOU WILL NOT BE PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE AT ALL. I PURCHASED 2ND LEVEL SEATS FOR GARTH AND ENDED UP ON THE 3RD LEVEL - WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.
I bought 2 tickets to see the Weeknd in Vancouver for December. Was originally looking on selecttickets.com, then was redirected to online city tickets. On top of the exchange rate from USD-CAD, they charged a $72 service fee. The only explaination they gave was that this is the money the site would make off my purchase. This site has there hand in your pocket and then they justify it by saying "you should have read the fine print". Fair enough, but I'm not returning to this site for anything more. I'd like to use my $72 at the concert that I allready spent $320 on. In addition to that they offer ticket insurance that is an absolute joke. For $15.88, you can successfully puchase insurance in case you can't make it too the show. However make sure you don't have an exsisting condition or commit sucide or else your money is as good as gone. With all the headaches, you could call all of this a scam. Never again!
My original inquiry to Casino Rama|
I usually buy my venue tickets through Rama. I was redirected this time to onlinecitytickets.com and have been completely ripped off. Is this something you are endorsing? I was sent to onlinecitytickets.com directly through your site. Let me know and I will never attend an event again at Rama. I purchased two tickets at 54.00 each for Kings of Chaos and got a bill for 147.35 with all of the service charges. My credit card was billed for 200.22 by onlinecitytickets.com. I don't believe this reflects well on Casino Rama. You may want to reconsider where you direct you customers to from your site to purchase tickets.
Response from the venue where the tickets were purchased for:
When a patron visits the Casino Rama website and then clicks on the buy tickets option under any of our concerts, they will be directed straight to the Canadian TicketMaster website to purchase tickets. If a purchaser is not buying directly in person at our box office or through www.ticketmaster.ca
Unfortunately it seems that you have ended up purchasing tickets through a third party reseller who it would appear have been fairly unscrupulous in making a buck at your expense. We can really only suggest now getting in touch with your credit card company as they may be able to launch an investigation in to the charges.
No reflection on Casino Rama. They responded quite quickly. I post this as a warning to others. Also know that once you provide your credit card to a company you are screwed!
Paid per credit card on 7/21/2015 for the 9/23/2015 Kraftwerk concert at Elie Caulkins Opera House in Denver. This was for $215.50 for "discounted tickets! Confirmation Order came in with notice 2 tickets forthcoming. Week before concert called them at their listed # on line and person stated tickets were usually held at box office. Nite of concert box office manager stated they were 3rd party seller, no tickets for us under our name, no entry. We waited 2 months for this concert and I had to take a crushed and disappointed son home, a major Kraftwerk fan. We checked per Google and discovered this is a common issue with this company, they are even being investigated in Illinois for tagging extra charges surreptitiously on their billings. If U have to pay a little extra for a reliable company to get tickets, do it. Stay away from these scum.
I ordered six tickets to the Zack Brown concert and like me if you can't get them to reply. They claim they sent me an email but I don't have it in human. I have emailed on several occasions and they say they are working on it. I am going American Express to claim fraud. BE WARNED!
I purchased tickets to an event and never received an e-ticket. I called their toll-number to inquire and could not get a human representative. Their auto-bot voicemail system could not help me and hung up. Very poor customer service and I have not received a ticket despite being charged several weeks ago. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE.
I wish our legal system better protected us from deceptive practices. This company using embedded links at venue websites to take people to their website. They then have a banner designed to look very similar to Ticketmaster when you are browsing. They do not disclose fees (20% of ticket price?!) in an easily viewable place on that landing page. The website does not work well with mobile phones and I suspect they designed it that way--so you can't see the fine print. I disputed with PayPal and they decided that this scam artist website adequately disclosed the fees and their no refunds policy. (And I'm not doing business with PayPal anymore because I'm very uncomfortable with the protection they offer users if this is how they came out on a black and white dispute.)
Im absolutely disgusted by the lack of customer service, no call backs or response to emails /: DONT BUY FROM ONLINETICKETS! I
If the venue changes they will not offer a refund. They are not helpful in any way and aren't customer friendly. I would stay away from this scam of a company at all cost. Unless you want to be ripped off.
I went to what I thought was the venue website and was sent to Online City Tickets for the purchase. Two tickets to The Lion King cost me more than $180 in "fees" when the tickets state on them $65.75 each. Shameful business practice! Never use this site.
I thought I was I. Ticket master and ordered 2 tickets to Paul McCartney. Well, 4 days later I check my credit card balance and was way, way over charged. I called MasterCard and they are going to try and refuse the charges. I got ripped off by over $900!
Of course the company isn't answering calls or emails. I'm hoping because it's only been 4 days I can get my money back.
Update: I got my money back but only because I called my credit card company within a few days
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
