The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

Two tickets $288 each, service charge of $175.68, and instant download fee of $7.50. It's ridiculous to pay a service charge for online tickets. Why?! Tickets are already expensive as it is. I also don't understand why there's a fee to download instantly. That makes no sense at all. The problem is, service charges and download fees are almost always attached to tickets these days. So stupid.
Tickets were $172 but my total was $232. That's $60 in extra fees... not sure if it's just this site or if it's that way anywhere you get them but that's alot of extra fees!
Alot of services charges. But what are my choices. My printed ticket has another person name on it. Is that a problem? Is this a legitimate ticket? Will I have problems at the door?
The Good News: The tickets worked. I received what I ordered and was able to get into the venue with seats that were close to the front on the lower level. The show itself was Fantastic!
The Bad News: I had to pay double what I should have paid. The price was originally $80 per ticket plus whatever service fee and taxes. Instead of $200 - 250, we were charged almost $400.
For future reference, if there is a show that you really want to see, get tickets early if possible and save yourself a headache and an empty wallet. But if you are really in a pinch and are willing to pay double or triple the price, this is probably better than some of the other sites out there doing the same thing.
I Was able to score 2 tickets to a show that was already sold out. Hate that I had to pay double the amount for a regular ticket. But since the FOX Theater wanted the same or more for VIP I guess it is what it is. As one of the other commentators said, hope the e-tickets work and I don't run into any problems.
This website made me pay 30 extra dollars as the only choice for "next day shipping" later emailing me saying the expected delivery date would be February 22nd and the concert is on the 24th.
Ticket cost - $135 ($270 for two)
Service Charge - $41 ($82 for two)
Download Fee - $7.50
To go see a show with my wife - $360 and we haven't paid for parking or food and drinks. Not sustainable. If the cost was reasonable I would go to shows much more often. Now it is only for very, very special occasions. Unfortunately I feel crappy about going because the cost is outrageous.
A convenience charge; a download charge? Like it was an option! Why not just have one charge? Also why not have a seating chart?
Phone tree does not allow you to reach a HUMAN. It also did not ask WHAT my question was! At times my frustration caused several hang ups.
OnlineCityTickets made it incredibly fast and easy to secure Eagles tickets. Prices were much more affordable than those I saw on Ticketmaster! Great site! LOVE to attend concerts, (I'm just an old hippie!), and will surely use OnlineCityTickets before I ever use Ticketmaster again! THANK YOU!
I think its disgusting how much you charge for 55.00 tickets, i will never again use your site. You should be ashamed of yourself for almost doubling the price of the ticket, many hard working people such as myself would love to go to more concerts but you ticket agencies make it hard for us by the doubling of the ticket price
I think that a 30% fee is too high and then adding $8 for email delivery. I would rethink your business offer. Unfortunately, this is a monopoly and the customers have little choice if you want to attend a show at this venue. Needs to be addressed in contract between venue and OnlineCityTickets. And, you cant control your seating beyond picking a section? It is 2018.
The prices are the cheapest n for a struggling single dad the prices work out perfect andi get to take my son to see something he likes
Why am I row N? When i click to purchase double AA row. They should be more detailed and showing the row and seats available and not display the row and seat number once the purchase its been made.
This is the first time using this site. It seemed very simple and upfront. I am not very happy that I MUST do a review of the site and not only that but it MUST be at least one hundred words long! Why must it be that long for? How do I review a site that I have only used ONCE?!? At this point I am trying to think of sentences to make one hundred words.
Online City Tickets literally did not send me my tickets to Book of Mormon until the day of the play and then I found out that they had changed my seats to the top floor, very back row. I would never have paid $322 for the very last row. My mom is hard of hearing and sick and she couldn't see nor hear, so we had to leave. I called to complain and the manager basically called me a liar and would not refund me any money at all. The tickets showed that they were $54 each and I even offered to eat that amount of $108 and they said no. I have been a loyal customer to them in the past and I am very upset. Keller Auditorium (the venue) told me that online city tickets have a very bad reputation and that I should never buy from them again. I was the 5th person that day to have the same thing happen. Please don't make the same mistake I did! I am telling everyone I know and warning them. Buy your tickets somewhere else!
Tickets were perfect but the fees could be a little lower $20 more per person in fees just seems like a bit much for me
Online City Tickets proved to be an efficient method of purchase for my parking tickets for a concert in May. I would surely consider using them a second and third time.
Have not received my tickets yet. Will complete survey when I do... They said they will arrive between now and May!
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
