We purchased a rug for our guest room, a space in our house that gets used maybe 5 times a year max. My husband and I were moving furniture around when we noticed some discolored patches. At first we weren't sure what they were, then realized they matched the traffic patterns around the furniture. Less than 10 months of use of a $400 rug and it looks horrible. The rug that was originally blue has worn and now looks yellow in areas. Of all the rugs we've ever purchased, I've NEVER seen one wear so poorly, especially when its hardly walked on. Frankly, if the rug were in my living room and walked on daily I'd still think that level of quality is unacceptable. OKL doesnt believe its their problem since we're passed the return window. We now have a rug that needs to be replaced at our expense as OKL refuses to stand behind their products. Stay FAR away.

Poor service
September 6, 2016

I ordered a dresser and had cancelled my order due to it not being able to be delivered for 2 months. They then said it would be delivered earlier so I told them to go ahead with the order. Upon the truck's arrival with the delivery lo and behold they forgot to put it on the truck. I then called One Kings Lane to resolve the problem but no help there. I then just emailed them to say "forget the order." A dresser is not worth the aggravation! Too hard to deal with!

I am much happier today

Today, customer service reached out to me and took steps to mitigate my dissatisfaction. It took almost 2 months to receive the order that I had place! I received a full refund for the shipping costs as well as a discount for the dressers I had ordered.
I am much happier tonight and I am very pleased with the dressers. They look fabulous!

I ordered a rug through one kings lane and unfortuantly, the item never shipped. We waited a month! I sent several emails most of which were ignored. Finally I called and cancelled which they gave me a hard time about. Terrible service.

To top it off-- after the nightmare of cancelling the item ended up on my doorstep. I then had to send it back. They arranged for it to be picked up when I said I wasnt taking a huge rug to the post office to ship. But it was still a frustrating hastle.

Someone from the company orginally commented on my review "we will make this right"... Im yet to see that happen.

This company is a nightmare avoid at all costs! They told me they'd give me the correct price on a couch I ordered, correct price was $692. However they continued to charge my card $1538 for the entire month of July. This charge would appear then disappear leaving my account with this huge hit of $1538 at random times.

Thankfully my bank has been awesome with helping me resolve this matter. But not having access to your money is a devastating experience especially when it's randomly taken out several times a month.

I've since placed a stop payment with this merchant so I can stop reliving this nightmare. The customer service is a joke and could not/would not help at all. It's like they contract remote employees who just pick up their cell phone and pretend to assist you.

I hate this company and I've done business with thousands. This is the only company I can say I truly hate. I hope they are shut down!

Tired of Waiting
July 21, 2016

I have currently been on hold trying to reach customer service for over 24 minutes and counting. It should not be this difficult to get in contact with someone over an incorrect order, especially when they can only gaurantee to change your order if you contact customer service within 15 minutes... This is my second day of trying. I gave up last night because of the hold-time.

This company has gone way down hill. I bought a Sutton Place Console in Blueberry- it was promised for June 3 or 4 never arrived. I contact them everyday with no response. Since ONE KINGS LANE was recently sold to BED, BATH + BEYOND I guess the original owners don't feel responsible to the loyal customers who kept them in business. I will never buy anything from this site ever again.

I would like to say first off that we have only purchased the one product and our product ended up being defective. However, the customer service was amazing on the two different opportunities we had to interact with them. They wanted pictures of the defect but then promptly made good on the refund without any heming or hollarin.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Hands down the WORST buying experience I have ever had, furniture or otherwise. Problem after problem, I STILL don't have the couch I ordered 5 months ago. 5 months. A couch. Sort of a fundamental piece of furniture. Delivery date kept changing, when they finally delivered it, wrong couch, and that was over a month ago. Honestly, their prices are not that competitive and the customer service is a nightmare. Too many options to make this mistake again. AVOID.

My wife and I ordered a couch October 26,2015 from OKL. While the site indicated delivery within 6 - 8 weeks, when we got our acknowledgement it said we would get the couch by the end of January. While this was frustrating, we really liked the couch and decided to wait. Starting in February they would respond with another two week delay every week we called them. They finally delivered an entirely different couch in early March. Over 16 weeks to ship the wrong item. After numerous calls, we finally got our account credited and the wrong item picked up. The replacement couch was supposed to get us by late May (8 weeks later). Three weeks ago they confirmed it would be shipped last week. Several phone calls and e-mails confirmed this. We were just told today (May 25,2016) that the couch will not be shipped until late June or early July. Seven months since we placed our order (almost to the day) we just canceled it. Do not waste your time with these people. When asked they could not or would not even put me on the phone with a supervisor. It is the worst company I've ever done business with... and I'm 53 years old.

Love Window Shopping

I have purchased items many times from this site and the items have always been first quality. I even bought a antique chair for $900. But, the prices are very high in most cases and before you buy, look elsewhere like even ebay to compare. I do find deals, but you need to look. I especially like the Clearance section where I have bought bedding for far less than retail. You will also find unique items and hard to find items here. And the quality has always been good. The sellers/vendors vary. Some price too high and some price reasonably.

I received a damaged item, they did all to help me, they send return level and they send a new item,
They answer the phone right away, they confirm by email right away, it took les then 24 hours after my call to resolve my issue. I'm getting a replacement
Everybody was courteous and helpful

I compared prices on 1kl with ebay, etse and Chairish. 1KL FRAGMENTS IDENTITY Charges $425 for the identical pillow on etse for $49.99! They sell batik pillows that you can get for 65 on etse for 349 on 1kl. African indigo stripe pillow. 1kl 345, etse 49.99. Exact same pillow, same backing and same fill... total rip off. 1kl says its originally priced at $600... Bull...! MIKE SERRATT has fake match strikers that he sells for for $299. You can find them on ebay and etse for 49.99 One kings lane is a big scam in my opinion.The ORIGINAL prices mean nothing... they are all made up. I read that they are going under... about time they went away. I now shop on Chairish... go and compare. Even the SAME dealers selling the SAME item are selling it for way less on Chairish. I have compared dozens of items and they are almost all at least double on 1kl!

OKL is a ripoff!

A few months ago I saw a Chinese Chippendale style armchair that I thought looked familiar. OKL was selling a pair for $1199 ($1485 original price). I found the EXACT same chairs, EXACT, same color choices, at Gumps for $699 for a pair. They are so overpriced. They were selling a set of vintage glassware for $110, you can get the same thing on ebay for $12.

I ordered the Smythe Velvet Sofa from One Kings Lane and had a wonderful experience with their customer service after a minor tuft problem. The designer called me personally and had someone come fix it locally. I also received a discount in addition to having it complete repaired. I would order from them again and would recommend them to all my friends and family! Thanks One Kings Lane!

I had ordered a VERY NICE area rug from this company. I was so excited to have it be the main piece on my floor of my new home. After much waiting, I was emailed that my $400 dollar rug would not be coming at all. They emailed it was unavailable when I ordered it. So they gave me a $40 dollar credit. Haha... kind of a joke. So I used that $40 dollars on ordering some decorative pillows for my couch. Guess what? I just got this email:

"Dear Jamey,

Thank you for shopping at One Kings Lane. We are dedicated to excellent customer service and are very sorry that your Fishnet 18×18 Cotton Pillow, White, Colossal Cube Ice Molds (Set of 2) from order ******* cannot be shipped out to you.

The amount of $16.11 has been refunded to your original method of payment.

You will receive an additional email confirmation detailing the refund. Please allow 3 to 5 business days for the refund to process back to your method of payment."

Good luck ordering from this company. I usually never give bad reviews and am typically pretty laid back with hiccups. But this has been the most ridiculous experience I have ever had. If there are shipping issues... why was I not contacted via phone? If you don't have the product, why is it available to purchase? Receiving automated emails of apology and $40 and $16 credits are embarrassing when one cannot even receive the product. Yay! Free money for a product that doesn't exist!

I will not be ordering from this company again. There are many other competitors out there that have proven to at LEAST deliver the product to me.

Ordered a bed for my son. Waited two weeks to receive. Wrong color and half a bed. No headboard. Called to hear that they will contact vendor, oh 24-48 hours to hear back from them. Multiple contact from me. Generic emails in return. Call this morning, they offered to have me buy a large box, pack it then they would pick it up. Never explaining what happen. I requested immediate refund, nope, need their crappy components back. Offered a credit to my OKL account of $50 to buy box and pack it! Asked for a supervisor, waited 15 mins and was disconnected. So, I contacted Amex and stopped the charge. I do not intend to deal with base portion. Horrible. Now I need to find a replacement at a brick and mortar shop. I wish I read these reviews. Also will send to BB. If I had the choice, they would receive less than zero from me.

I have received items that were broken, items not matching the descriptions of "antique" or "vintage," items that clearly had been photoshopped, one item with damaged from flooding and reeking of mold, and my latest a child-size chair not correctly described as such. When I had it returned they charged me $200 for the original shipping, another $200 for return shipping and another $33 that they won't even explain! Absolutely my last order with OKL. There are other scams the site does too, so buyer beware!

After much discussion OKL did refund the money today (2/2).

Wonderful place to shop!

I have been reading about all of the negative reviews on One King's Lane and I had to write a review! I have ordered many, many items over the past few months. I returned one item because it did not work out and had to return one item since the wrong item was sent. Both of these returns were handled beautifully and seamlessly. I LOVE this place! Everything I have purchased has been exactly as described and in some cases even better! I cannot say enough great things about OKL and have told all of my friends about it. I could do all of my household/decorating shopping there. Cannot say enough GREAT things about it! I will continue to shop there and think it is one of the best places ever!
