Almost got caught!
Do not agree to anything on the phone as this is your contract that you will find very difficult to get out of despite being told you have 14 days to reject from the paperwork they will send you. Their rep James is very plausible who then passes you on to their accounts and this is where the recorded contract begins. So Beware!
There is no more that I can say about these people. Customer service is terrible, they are rude, pushy, aggressive, and if thats how they reckon they can run a business they are much mistaken. I asked to speak to his manager and he refused, just cutting in on me and turning everything I said around. I rang back and supposedly got the manager who reckoned he was listening in to the first call... he was equally as rude and aggressive and didnt know the facts either so was also lying... I have now rung BT and done a better deal with them...
Switched from bt after having been conned by one of their cold callers. Should have known better but was lured by 'half price' line rental. However due to lack of free minutes and the fact the premium number calling rates are extortionate (my wife calls the states on planet talk) my phone bills went up by 3 times. When I phoned call centre to find out the staff couldn't care less and one was very very rude. I was promised a bill review but it never happened. Possibly the least professional company I've ever come across - Only after your money. Will make a complaint to Offcomm and Watchdog and whomever else I need to. Please don't make the same mistake I did.
WARNING Told true telcom i dint want to continue and didn't agree to any contract yet they still tried swapping me from bt. They said every thing was cancelled but still tried
DONT TRUST THEM
Have been paying line rental to tru telecom for almost 2years, they don't provide any calls as they are unable to sort our number out. Ezy talk have our calls.we have been trying for 20 months to get calls transferred My husband rang up about broad band, we have found out we are tied in to a 3 year contract, waiting to hear call log as don't believe he agreed to that. They do not respond to emails, and have stopped trying to change calls. Spoke to os communication,(ombudsman for tru) who says unless there is a complaint logged they can't help. We have now managed to get them to log a complaint and look at all my emails and calls to the company.
They are supposed to be a communication company that doesn't know how to communicate.
The ombudsman found in my favour and they have still ignored them.
I have know taken them to court.
They are just bullies.
Really got the impression that he was trying to make me think it was just a different part of BT and because I was a business I could get 1/2 price bills
Where to begin - so many complaints. Worst phone helpline in the world. A woman who is almost certain to annoy you. Dreadful reliability, huge bills. Phone forever out of order. Long waiting period to get it fixed. Best (worst) of all after processing 30 monthly payments there was a delay on a direct debit. "True" Telecom immediately cut off the phone line. I thought it was another fault. Phoned the helpline and was told they had left a mesage on the answering machine. My answering machine needs the phone line, which they had cut off! Helpline woman laughs at the prospect of me making a complaint!
The worst commercial mistake I have ever made was going with these cowboys. Avoid at all costs.
"
Cold calling by very slick team, that talk you into moving over. However following research, I opted to pull out during my "cooling off period"... the sales person was nothing short of rude and offensive, then SHE slammed the phone down on me...!
Please avoid this company at all costs they are hard selling, nuisance calling, impossible to leave without heavy financial penalties and electronic blocking
What a great company very cheap and very happy after years of being ripped off by Bt I have been taken over from this company and very happy
Cold called me, I normally would have said no thanks but had a problem with my existing supplier and was I suppose feeling vulnerable. The problems started straight away, I quickly tried to cancel the deal but it was too late I had apparently agreed to a 3 year contract and would have to pay the full term if cancelled! Since then I've had not one bill which was at the agreed original cost for various reasons... the latest and most common was not taking the direct debit then charging me £15 for the privilege of paying in another way! This has been ongoing for most of the term. Today has seen a new high with them disconnecting my phone line, because I refused to pay the extra £15 for the last 2 months! Whatever you do don't change to this company. I hope this helps someone? Regards Iain
I must say at first I was very sceptical but it was a seamless transfer and I started receiving the cheaper billing this was ideal for me as January quite tough. Customer service was amazing to ~ Daniel

***STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY***
I was lead to believe they would waiver the cost of switching companies and they would do everything frm their end. 8 weeks later im getting charges from my intial supplier and threating legal action if not paid. Along with this I was miss sold the package, which I was lead to believe we were getting a calls and broadband package only to find out from BT that we are still with them for our bb. Absolute waste of time and frustrating energy!
They will try and tell you its your fault and nothing miss sold, read all the reviews they speak for themselves. Customer service lol, they go straight on the defensive because they must be used to these complaints going round in circles is their main phrase.
If they phone you, do not go near them, very hard sell and despite twice telling them that I did not wish to go ahead with the contract they did it anyway without telling me. When trying to resolve the issue met with nothing but arrogance and utter disrespect and that was supposedly from manager! Appallingly customer service.
I will start by saying im not a reviewer, i never do this, BUT this company needs to change its attitude to customers or cease business, i chose them years ago because they dangle a sweet carrot, but actually isnt worth it, and then when you want to get rid you go around in circles, loops and they have no care to listen or talk they just demand and very rude,, i spoke with a lady called Tony, she was rude and explained she's not in customer services,, Basically that excuses her from being rude. Please please do NOT USE them, you will be hounded not only from cancellations but then they will ring and try selling to you again
Was sold this service as a money saving swop. It has been a complete rip off with me now paying double what I was paying before. Plus to get out it they want to charge a lot of money. I am now pursuing them through the ombudsman.
I had trouble with this company from the second I stupidly signed up with them! Incorrect billing followed by dreadful customer service. Terrible company that I would not recommend
I have had nothing but inaccuracy and headaches with this company! Def' not recommend!
I was sold this service as a money saving swop. It has been a complete rip off with me now paying double what I was paying before. Plus to get out it they want to charge me £800. I am now pursuing them through the ombudsman.
Answer: There is no mention of the 3 year contract when the salesman cold calls you.
Answer: Ignore them. You cancelled the contract because it was mis-sold. You have cancelled the DD, just make sure it is not re-instated by them. Given the reviews I have just read I doubt they will take it down the legal route. You can always try threatening to sue for harrassment but, personally, I would just ignore them. Don't delete emails though - they are evidence should you need it.
Answer: If you can't through on the phone send them an email - what they do with it is their problem but it will be proof you cancelled in time. And if later than the cooling off period, you were mis-sold anywayso have a right to cancel. Then cancel the DD and go back to your old supplier. Good luck
Answer: They are very carefull with the way they word things for instance "we will endevor to waiver your ETF" so what there saying is they will try, And this was done by there legal team (consists of 2 people with no legal experance calling BT and pretending to be the customer saying because BT have up there prices your legally allowed to leave the contract free of charge, with BT just saying the charge is valid, and now they dont have a legal team atm so there not to concerned about customer happyness its a fly by company
