This has been a miserable experience for me. In my seventy two years I have never experienced such terrible customer service. Office Depot should be ashamed of the way they treat their customers. I have not been able to speak to anyone, everything has been done through email. It is so much easier for the employees of Office Depot not to have a phone conversation, then they would have to acknowledge they are speaking to another human being that would like to be treated fairly.

I ordered a red oriental console cabinet and I was sent the black cabinet. I am not physically able to get the cabinet in a box to return it. Office Depot will not accept it other than boxed so I have no choice other than to keep it. The only compensation they would give me is $40 to keep the wrong cabinet. The two employees I dealt with should be ashamed that a more reasonable solution could not have been found.

It is disgraceful what they have put me through. My sympathy goes out to other Office Depot customers with problems. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I originally tried to post this on OFFICE DEPOT's site as a review on 12/18/21. The web site said that the POST would have to be "Moderated" and might mot appear for a few days. As of 12/22 and second call to Customer Service still no refund... and no review posted. ORDER # *******-001

GREAT RETURN POLICY... If they followed it!
Very nice printer... BUY IT SOMEWHERE ELSE! Ordered on line 11/28/2021 showed in stock with 2 day delivery. 1 Hr after order received email OUT OF STOCK Ship! 2/3 -12/6. WAITED. 12/6 received email SHIP 12/9 -12/16. WAITED. 12/14 received email SHIP 12/16 - 12/23. Purchased from another source on 12/14. Tried to cancel Office Depot online order 12/14. Debit card was charged 12/15 at 4:40am and printer shipped that afternoon and arrived 12/16 4:30 pm. Took unopened box to Office Depot from return and was told that they couldn't return a hi $ printer ($750+) to debit card at a store because it would lower their Daily Sales Total? Called Customer Service from the parking lot and they said that I had to ship it back if the store didn't want to return it. Sent me an RMA and Shipping label by email. Printer returned next morning and arrived at Office Depot Dock by UPS on 12/18 at 11:46 am. Still waiting on Credit to my Debit card. Office Depot lost me as a customer today.

I ordered a plotter (Epson T2170) thinking that Office Depot is a reputable online vendor. It was to be delivered in 3 - 5 days. The delivery date was set back twice, but it never arrived. When I followed up it appears that Office Depot did not stock it so they relied on an overseas company to drop ship it. The third party vendor used a third rate shipping company that did not provide tracking. After two weeks I canceled the order. After three weeks the shipping company finally contacted me about delivery.
After canceling the order with Office Depot I ordered a replacement from B&H Photo. It was stocked in a warehouse in New Jersey and arrived in three days. I canceled the Office Depot order after the B&H Photo plotter had arrived, was installed and working fine. I'm now working on getting a refund. Like any true American company, Office Depot has outsourced their customer relations to India.
With Office Depot the fun NEVER ENDS.

Don't believe their delivery date

They promised next day delivery. Had I known this was not the case I would have arranged to pick the item up. When I talked to customer service they claimed weather delays. There were not any weather issues the day the delivery was scheduled. When I tried to a live chat there was no response to my question so I got off. They did call me after that but offered no discount or anything for their poor performance. I will need to be desperate to every purchase from them again and it will not be delivered.

Cheating company

I order 3 orders at the same time.
1/Bookshelf.
2 / desk
3/ 8 dining chair.
Them ship 8 chairs first then one of them broke. I returned and want another new chair. They got them then didn't send me a new one later them canceled my order ( desk) and return money from desk order ( didn't delivery the desk)
Then I call them many time and them make trouble them said them refund money already. ( but this my money because I didn't get a desk yet)
Them I call them again to ship to me another chair them said out of stock then I said I need to return all of the chair. Them come to pick up for a month later but I still don't see them refund my money back. I called again and them said them refund money already. But they didn't. They want to steal all my money from dining chairs order ($479.13)

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I ordered products from Office Deport October 18th. Half of my order came on October 21st. I called to find out about the remainder and was told shipping would be expedited. October 31st still haven't gotten the remaining 6 items so check my account on Office Depot. It showed the items were delivered October 27th. I live in SC it showed it was delivered in GA sooo never got it! Called customer service she NEVER said it was shipped back to the company she just stated she would credit my account and reorder the items. I contacted UPS who stated the all the rep had to do was call them and they could have explained to her that the items were shipped damaged and leaking so instead of delivering damaged items it was returned to the company. If you're telling me you're crediting me I assume my items are free but nevertheless she asked for a card information. I paid via cash app and the 'credit' was not back on the card. I was told it would take 5-7 days to come back on my card and a supervisor would reach out to me when it was back on. Never heard from a supervisor! I called November 7th when the money finally got back on my card to reorder the items. The rep. Never asked for my card information and processed the order. This rep. Didnt know what she was doing because there was a difference in price for the same number of items. She reduced the amount of items to get close to what I paid last time. But the 1st order of $49 went through on my card not the $32. I called and spoke to a different rep that stated that there system only shows $32 and I would have to talk to my bank about the difference. I cancel the order because its ridiculous that I have to continue to go back and forth. I asked for a supervisor she stated no 1 was available and she would have someone call me. I asked 3 separate times for a survey. I NEVER GOT A CALL FROM A SUPERVISOR OR A SURVEY. $49 was taken out of my account and I doubt I will get it back. The company is horrible! This was my first time ordering from office depot and it will definitely be my last.

We are very disappointed in the invoices we had made for our business. Because they are affiliated with Office Depot we thought the quality would be good. This is NOT the case. We ordered invoices for our company and all they did was take a blank invoice and stamp our company name on the top. It's not even straight. I could've paid an employee to do that and they would have done a better job plus it wouldn't have cost us over $100.00. When I called them about it not being straight they said no refunds, too bad. Because they were NOT willing to work with us on this we found another company on line that not only created a custom invoice for our company but actually printed our company name on each invoice, Not a CROOKED STAMP and they were half the price. My advise is keep the expectation low.

Our company is using their Business Office Depot service, and it is AWFUL. Three times I have placed a larger order ($500 plus) and three times they provide a delivery date and the items don't come. Their website shows that the items have been delivered, and THEY ARE NOWHERE TO BE SEEN. Then I get to fight with them for 10-14 days to get my delivery. Always promising a delivery date, and never receiving the items on the date, but they are quick to charge my credit card for items not received. Working with their resolution team is not much better. They keep making promises and not delivering. So if you need Office Supplies and you are in the Lansing Michigan area. Find another vendor unless you spend hours of your time trying to get your supplies.

ORDER WITH CAUTION! I typically use a different office supply store but I used Office Depot to order supplies and paper for my office. They claimed (3) boxes of paper were delivered and signed for by "Chris". We DO NOT HAVE an employee named Chris and neither do any of the other (3) offices in my building.
When I first called in CS was very nice and apologized and issued a refund right away... then the refund was cancelled... a second call, more wasted time stating the same info... another refund issued... then CANCELLED again. Third call... asked immediately to speak to a supervisor (4) times before the CS rep finally laughed and said she would "see if someone was available"! I have been on hold for (15) minutes already... this is BS!

Don't Buy from this Company

I purchased paper on 10/6 for delivery to my residence on 10/8. The deliver person lied saying the business was closed when delivery was attempted. Because of this lack of service, I cancelled the order and ask that my money be refunded. Office Depot wants me to wait 7 to 10 days for a refund that they grabbed at the time I placed the order. This is a crappy way to do business.

I have had the opportunity to visit the Print Shop at Office Depot in Stockton. During my visit, I had some non-profit material to print (actually graciously contributed by Office Depot). The two young wonderful staff members, Jiana Espinosa, and Maikaylea Tinsley, didn't miss a beat on providing the best service. Despite of the fact this material was contribution or not, the two treated me, and this job with the highest level of respect and accuracy, to assure it was at the highest level of quality. Wow! This don't happen ever! These two bent over backwards when one machine broke down during the process, and did what it took to get the job done; yielding to the highest level of satisfaction. Despite the line build-up because of tech issues with the machines, the two maintained, calmness, sincerity and professionalism, and pushed through all obstacles to get the job done. I was truly impressed on how professionally they conveyed to the anxious and frustrated customers in line, to calm them down, while they resorted to plan B to get the orders out while one machine crippled. These two young staff members, Jiana and Maikaylea (asst. Manager) demonstrated the best professional teamwork I have ever seen; definitely worth praising. In today's workforce, it it rare to see this kind of work ethics and teamwork, especially among the younger generation of workers. These two, by far, top the charts, as wonderful role models. Kudos to Office Depot - Stockton for have these two wonderful people on your staff. Way to go, Jiana and Maikaylea!

I ordered a desk and matching file cabinet for my home office. A day before the delivery I get an email " shipment execption notification" saying my order was not on the truck and they would attempt another delivery. Two days later after receiving no communication from them, I contacted customer service via chat (no phone number provided). I was told the items were to be delivered that day. They were not. Two days later I find a customer service phone number on the internet and call. I called at 11am eastern time and got a voice message stating the office was closed and their hours were from 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week, eastern time and to call back during those hours! The call was then promptly disconnected. Office Depot charged me for the items but failed to deliver. They obviously did not make an attempt to contact me other than to tell me it won't be delivered. I think I deserve more information than that and should have been given accurate information when I contacted them. This first time customer is outraged at the disregard shown to me by this company.

After 5 times with customer service and 3 missed delivery dates, I am still waiting on a refund, which took 2 weeks to process, and am told it will take 2 more weeks for it to arrive in my account. Each customer service agent I spoke with either blamed the courier, the weather, or bank. Office Depot took no responsibility for any of these issues. I will never recommend delivery of any products from Office Depot. If you have an issue, you'll just have to deal with it.

Delivery encourages porch pirates

I prefer Staples because they confirm the delivery TO the CUSTOMER. Office Depot drivers just leave everything by the door, don't ring the bell, and take off.

They advertise next day & two day shipping on items; then when you get to the checkout they change it to several days slower.

Obviously, there have not been enough complaints for them to discontinue this deceptive practice.

I should have ordered on Amazon. I went with Office Depot since the printer I ordered was $18 cheaper, but now I realize this was a mistake. It still hasn't shipped out despite an email saying it would arrive by June 9 (today is June 21). Live chat support was apologetic but just said they'd send my case for review and I have to wait several more days... still haven't heard back. I may have to just dispute the charge with my credit card and order elsewhere.

I bought a $900 Lenovo laptop with all of the top specs. I've been using nothing but lenovo's for over 12 years. I bought this one Lenovo laptop, and on the 15th day I tried to take it back because it is so not performing like a Lenovo does. Office Depot? Naughty little employees that told me it's not their problem go take it to the manufacturer. Manufacturer says well if the computer is broken will fix it, but if it doesn't perform well then you have to take it back to the store. Go back to Office Depot, little teenagers telling me well the manager's just going to tell you the same thing that I told you, which is you have to go to the manufacturer. Fast forward 4 months later? I'm stuck with a computer that literally doesn't work anymore. I'll try to go to the manufacturer, but 15 days after I bought this piece of crap, Office Depot should have taken it back. My advice? Don't ever touch this company with a 10-ft pole for anything more than 10 cents.

I've never had a good experience ordering furniture or technology online from Office Depot.com. This time I ordered a chair for curbside pick up. I received an email confirmation that the order would be ready in an hour. Then a second email said it was not really available and that a manager would call me. I didn't wait and called the store and was told me I should go back online and order the chair with a second separate transaction. My next email confirmation said it would be delivered 5/21. My next email said the chair would be delayed until 5/28. My next email said I could expect 1-2 days past 5/28. I checked the tracking today and it's being delivered 5/26. What a complete joke their online ordering process is, office max is putting items on sale showing in stock at stores that you can order from but they don't actually have any. Then office max doesn't have a handle on what's in stock at their wh or their supplier on these items they just put on sale. Not impressed, I could fix this whole process in a few weeks with their IT department.
One more thing, why there's a link to check my order on their emails yet I have to input my phone number and the order number after it takes me to their website?
Great price on the chair, the company is a mess. I just moved from as an example Boca Raton you should see the 625,000 square-foot headquarters they paid $130 million that I don't think they ever filled half of it with employees and it's probably been empty the last 15 months with people working remote.
