I work from home and I go through quite a bit of ink. I have always bought my ink at Office Depot but this last time they did not have the name brand, the clerk told me he could sell me the refurbished ink and it woulld be cheaper as well. Not cheap $53.99 for the duo set he had for me that was refurbished ink.
I bought the duo the color and black and my printer kept telling me the ink was empty. Or that, A PROBLEM HAS OCCURED WITH THE INK CARTIRIDGE- I took the ink back and the manager said, we can give you another pack but you have to bring both the color and the black back. So I went home got the 2 inks and returned, he gave me another duo kit and I brought them home and the printer once again, said the cartridges were empty. It also SAID INK CARTRIDGE CANT BE RECOGNIZED I am never buying the refurbished again, I asked the manager if this was a common experience, he said sometimes they do not work. If you know this, quit selling this type of ink. It is very messy and not at all convenient. I have not been able to print for almost 3 weeks trying all the different inks. Today I am going back to Office Depot to return the 2nd box of refurbished still cannot print anything! The multiple trips are the hassle, I paid almost 60 bucks and cannot print a thing! DO NOT BUY REFURBISHED INK FROM OFFICE DEPOT!
I purchased a laptop which was on sale online and they had in stock according to their page. Order #: *******-001. Next morning I received a letter cancelling my purchase because "it is out of stock". My bank account had already been debited. I called to ask for the return of my money as I need a new laptop urgently and cannot afford to make two payments and they said this would happen five days from now. Too fast to debit and too slow to credit with no regard to my situation. I feel this practice of advertising what is not real, causes harm to buyers who, like in my case, I do need a new laptop asap and do not have the money to debit my account twice while I wait for the return of my money.
I ordered a storage cabinet from Office Depot online. I received an email saying it was delivered however I did not receive it. I spent a month and 13 phone calls trying to get this resolved. I finally asked for a refund which never came. I spoke to supervisors etc. Everyone I spoke with would say "You will receive a call back within 72 hours" or "An email within 24 hours" or "I will personally call you back tomorrow." None of which EVER occurred. After they promised me a refund I ordered the identical cabinet from another vendor. Well shortly after receiving that cabinet the Office Depot cabinet showed up. Never a follow up call from the supervisor who was working on my refund. The WORST customer service I have ever seen. Each time I called I had to explain the situation again. Each time they would give me a new complaint number but never follow up on the old number. I just gave up!
The worst service ever!
I bought a computer desk which I no longer wanted because I noticed after it contain lead. I cancel my order before it shipped, and got a confirmation code of cancellation, they still sent it! Okay, so I contact them, and they told me they will have someone come from 8am to 5pm time frame, mind you, that is a huge time frame, so we can not plan anything for our day. No body came! We told them again, okay second time, nobody came again! We called and just told them can you just give us a return label, we will do it ourselves and they said they can't so they scheduled someone to come for the third time that someone will be here for sure. Once again, nobody came, I really don't know what to do at this point with the computer desk, I never opened the box, it is just not right. Never order from this website! I do not recommend this place at all.
Leo at the Chico, CA location provided us with outstanding service. He spent time to ensure our pictures were perfect and was extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend this service.
A rep from returns department at office max in Golden colorado was very aggressive refused to help dramatic as can be passed all over because I wanted to return a printer he screamed no go to epson other employees had to hold him back one gave me his full name he was crazy I left with no refund nor a printer that worked he had to be restrained like a wild animal again his name was DENNIS MARTINEZ AT GOLDEN COLORADO OFFICE MAX
Do I have to give it any star. Same story as everyone else. We should file a class action suite against them since they obviously don't care.
Order not arriving. I cancelled and it arrives 5 days later. I called to return it and for two weeks and daily calls and emails still waiting for the promised pick up that never comes. They have the nerve to say I'll get my refund when it gets to their warehouse, like that will ever happen. Asked if I can bring it to the store and they say no. Asked for a shipping label and I'll send it, no response. They are quick to charge your credit card though. This has to be illegal.

Office Depot has always been fine going in and shopping but I ordered a desk and shelf about a month ago. I've been calling almost daily for two weeks now because my email says it's "out for delivery" but then never comes. They even claimed they tried to "drop it off" even though I was there the whole day. I'm still waiting for it and everyone keeps making up excuses for where it is or why it's not here yet. Absolute garbage customer service and I've talked to 6 people now. All lying and "guaranteeing" my package will be here by the end of the day. Wouldn't even give it a one star cause they don't deserve it
I recently ordered only prints. Literally something so hard to mess up but yet it was. I called customer service and they were nice and seemed to fix my issue. Come to find out he lied and my ordered cant be fixed until reviewed and when I contacted again they said I have to wait at least a week. Excuse me but this is a present that would have been ready if they had done it right the first time. Taking my business to Staples.
I ordered a cooker on 11/27/20, on 11/28/20 I received an email telling me my item had been shipped. On 12/06/20 I called office depot, because the tracking number they gave me for UPS was not showing any updates. Customer service told me that they sent an email, to the vendor, but they never followed thru to see if order had shipped. I was told on 12/06/2020 that they would have UPS pick up package and that I should receive update same day, that was a lie. I made a second phone call and was told to expect an update on 12/07/2020. I may have to cancel this order, because at this point I don't trust this company to do the right thing.

1. Trying to use their bait & switch rewards program is a total wast e of anyone's time. Having had one of their rewards card for over a decade, I have not once been able to utilize the card without some employee denying the card,; telling me: 1. Time limit for rewards has expired; or it doesn't cover the purchase of the item you have; Shop elsewhere or online, but avoid Office Depot/Max.
2.25% off on Veterans Day was a Lie. I went to check out and the clerk told me that ink was not part of the 25% off for Veteran's Day. More unending bait & switch.
I bought products that I never received. I paid by card, asked for refund almost every day, and the request was declined for no reason.
This company is simply a joke. I ordered multiple items that never arrived and they wanted me to go around the neighborhood and locate my package.
I needed a desk for online school, and this is the worst place to order it from. They didn't tell me any updates about my desk even though it was being canceled, I had to contact them more than 6 times just to know what's happening. The estimated delivery was before my school started, and now that I don't have a desk I have to use my drawer to put my laptop on and work. They said it was returned to the send about a week after the estimated delivery time and didn't even tell me why. They canceled the order and said I would get a refund in 2-3 days, it's been about a week and I still haven't gotten it. Please never buy anything from Office Depot online, you will have a bad experience.
We ordered a monitor that was supposed to ship next business day and be received in 3 days. The confirmation email said 6 days. Okay, a few days more. Then another another email came saying another day later. I called and the rep said it's because it ships directly from the manufacturer and they have no control over that. (Then why do they promise next-day shipping?) I cancelled the order and ordered from Amazon.
Now we ordered a laptop that said it was in stock at our local store, so we ordered for pickup. Guess what? A phone call a little while later that it's not in stock after all. I called and the rep apologized and said they have all kinds of problems with the computers because of COVID, items aren't in stock or are back ordered, etc. Seriously? I didn't think that the COVID virus was a computer virus! If they don't have things in stock, or if they're not sure they'll be shipped anywhere near on time, they need to change their website.
We spent a lot of time looking for a laptop and finding the best model for the best price, and now we have to go back and start over. Very frustrating. In store shopping seems fine, but I'm not going to waste my time shopping online with them any more.

I received the package less than 15 minutes ago and I'm already working on the return/refund process. Three of the four corners are damaged. There are various nicks and gouges along the sides. There is a sticky substance covering an area by one of the corners. The biggest problem, however, is that the board is visibly bent. This product needs bubble wrap or some other kind of padding to ensure safe delivery. As much as I would like to have a whiteboard, it is not worth hanging this product on my wall. Extremely dissatisfied with my Office Depot experience.
As a side note, I tried to submit this review (with photos) to Office Depot. I was notified via email that this review could not be posted because it "mentions shipping complaints". A vendor should be responsible for ensuring safe delivery of an order. A separate email also informed me that they cannot pickup the item or issue me a refund until they contact the shipping vendor and work something out with them.
I was sold a G3000 Canon printer and for me it was pricy. I've spent the last year trying to set it up with no luck. I hired a pro to help me and he informed me $150.00 later that the printer was designed for a Microsoft machine not a Mac (my machine).
I contacted OD customer service and they basically said they were sorry and disconnected from the Chat. If I could I'd give them a zero, They won't get anymore of my business.
