I am a standard size 12. These pants did not in anyway fit my body frame. The waist (even though elasticized was way to big and the upper thigh area was made for someone with thin/non athletic legs. The return policy is not the best. I returned them almost 2 weeks ago, tags attached and in the packaging, as specified in the return instructions, yet I have not seen a refund. I had been, and still am looking for a product just like this. A lined pant that can be worn outside in cooler weather while we are snowshoeing or hiking with the dogs.
I am quite impressed with the Adventure pants. They are comfortable and seem of good quality. I take a size 34 pant so that's what I ordered and they are a smidgen big in the waist. Not so much that I can't wear them but a 33 (not available) probably would have been perfect.
I am not impressed with the Commander belt however. The first issue I discovered is that the belt is too large for the belt loops in the pants. I sent an email asking about this and was sent a 15 second video showing that you remove the buckle in order to thread the belt through the loops. Imagine doing that every time you put on or take off the pants!
The second issue is the length of the belt. I guess I should have expected this when seeing in the description that the belt is 49" long but I assumed there would be some way to adjust the length.
Their response when I asked was "you can trim the belt and it can be fixed, but it needs to be sewn back".
To be honest I have no idea what this means. So, bottom line is I'd give the pants 4 stars and the belt 2 stars.
They are a struggle to get into my water proof pants. The buckle is to big.
These are the most comfortable pants for everyday hiking in winter weather: west coast rain, not too cold but perfect for up to minus 10. They are long enough for me and I'm 5 foot nine inches. Lightweight but warm and cosy. I'm happy!
We both love our pants. Perfect for doing chores as they give us a lot more mobility.
Very good! Delivery was slow but it may have been weather related this year
These pants are awesome! I have three pair already know my girlfriend wants two
These are the best snow pants I have ever gotten! I am an ice skating coach/pairs skater and I was trying to find a pair of pants that was tear-resistant and waterproof but still gives me full range of motion. These pants are the best! However the pants took almost a month to show up after the tracking info said they would arrive in a week. Also tip culture is out of control, had these guys not asked for a tip I would have rated five stars. I am just so tired of being asked to tip for things for which nobody has ever tipped in the history of tips. I bought your $90 pants, that is how I support the company. Why do you need a tip too? I am curious…
Bought two pairs of Northbound Pants, 2nd pair I ordered were next size down from the 1st and perfect fit. Bought the Jacket recently and wasn't sure on size so took a gamble and ordered XL and found it snug but great.
I had questions prior to ordering and I received prompt, helpful info in ordernto proceed with my order.
Good service as usual!
Ordering was simple, questions were answered quickly.
Mail was a little slower than expected, but it was Christmas, so I was lucky to get them.
Thank you!
Best work pants ever. I work in the logging industry marking timber. Ive had my first two pair three years and theyre still going strong. Amazingly comfortable as well. Thanks
I was very pleased with the quality and fit!
Took longer to receive than expected, but arrived before Christmas
Northbound Gear's website is easy to navigate. Their descriptions and dimensions are very clear.
The jacket is great but you need a 5XL size, it does not fit me with present size.
I ordered these pants a little later than I should of and the delivery was slightly late for when I needed them for a trip to Norway. That is not Northbounds fault it is mine. I received the pants when I got back and am really impressed with the quality and the function. Superb clothing.
True to size, very comfortable, very happy with my purchase
Answer: So far the evidence is that it is a scam. Ask me in a year and maybe it will have arrived in time for next hiking trip.
Answer: China... apparently. Won't know for sure as not yet arrived.
Answer: Hi Elizabeth, I'm sorry for the delay. Upon checking, it shows that your order was shipped last October 14, however, there seems to be a delay with the delivery on the courier's end. They provided an update on the tracking information and I attached a link for your reference. https://www.canadapost-postescanada.ca/track-reperage/en#/details/1023038360005180 As much as I love to expedite the delivery, this situation is out of our control. No worries, I will reach out to the courier to see to it that the item will be delivered soon. Rest assured that your order will be delivered anytime soon.
