Buyer beware: if you take the plunge with this company you're effectively in your own. From their customer support - Please note that we have a 60 days policy for all our products. If you want to return the item back to us for a refund or an exchange you have to send it within that timeframe. Also, we only accept returns that are unused and in the original packaging with tags still attached.
Return cost is on you, expect no warranty or support.

Their "sustainability" page states "By Winter 2021 we will eliminate all plastic packaging from our shipping processes and warehouses."

Well, it's winter, and they have not done this, as confirmed by their own customer support (they blame the pandemic, even though they made the timeline during the pandemic, as they do as their catch-all excuse with any shipping issues).

On top of that 95% of their products are not sustainable, and their only "made in Canada" item was a sweater rebrand that was actually made by a company called Jerico. Available at Jerico for $82, Northbound Gear sells it for $149. Northbound Gear has since removed this product (or had it removed from them by Jerico?), and replaced with with Made in Bangladesh Stanley/Stella Drummer rebrands.

Northbound Gear is a dropshipper, and they are about as environmentally friendly as you might expect a dropshipper to be. That is, not at all.

If purchasing sustainable clothing is something that matters to you, look elsewhere. The 2 similar images at the bottom show how their sustainability plan has changed.

This company doesn't have inventory, they take your order then place it with their supplier in China and you wait, and wait, and wait. Customer service will respond with a copy/paste response, absolutely no help. Any additional inquiries are ignored. Order placed 11/29/21, shipping label created in the US. They scan the label every few days but the package never moves. It must hit customs before it gets to USPS. The "warehouse" address belongs to a UPS store! Buyers beware.
3/18/22- addition. I received the order 28 days after it was placed but wasn't correct. Engaged with CS the same-day package arrived, sent the requested picture of the incorrect product. The "replacement" has a label created 12/28/21 but I have yet to receive what I ordered! CS continues to respond with we are talking to the carrier... coming up on 3 months now and STILL don't have the product I ordered from them and zero help from CS.

Items orders on October 26,2021. This is advertised as a Canadian Company. After ordering items I found out they were manufactured and shipped from China. As of December 6,2021 and after many contacts with customer service I have not received items. Customer service excused the problems on weather, customs, warehouse, US customs. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was immediately issued a refund without my asking for one. Scam?

Order took over 2mths to arrive! When it finally arrived the item did not fit. Tried to return item as they promote easy returns, only to be advised by a automated computer response the date was past the return policy date! The item took over their policy date to even arrive due to circumstances beyond anyone's control but their own. Absolute garbage of a company. Shop ANYWHERE else! Scammers at best

I ordered from Northbound Gear thinking I was ordering from a Canadian company making and selling Canadian products. My spider sense was dinged when I received a text from them that included Chinese writing. I decided to look further after emailing their customer service. They responded with this: I would like to clarify that we are a Canadian-based company. Our products are designed in Vancouver, Canada, and tested all over Canada! We have production and manufacturing facilities in both Canada (Toronto, Ontario) and China, where our products are produced according to our highest standards in ethics, quality, and sustainability.

In reality, their address is a UPS store located in a strip mall in Surrey, BC. Their clothing and assessories are available on Aliexpress at 1/3 or less the price they are charging. They are making all sorts of fraudulent claims and this is a buyer beware review I get so tired of lying!

Look elsewhere! Do not purchase from this company. Purchased 3 items which 2 need to be returned due to very short jacket sleeve length. To return both items will be $66.00! $10.00 is for restocking? I guess it takes a lot to toss into some closet. They will apologize for the cost but I have STILL not received an item that was ordered over a month ago and nobody knows where that item is even with a tracking number? Scam company.

I came across the Northboundgear Store when I was looking for the perfect pants for my hike. I got my product in sometime but the product was extremely comfortable and well made and fitted beautifully. After the perfect experience of these pants, I have also ordered tactical jacket. I will surely recommend this store to my friends and family.

Northbound Gear is your classic Dropshipper, they have done a good job making their website appear legitimate, but all the items on it are available cheaper on Alibaba and the like. Having interacted with them, they will lie about whether their products are just rebranded and more expensive drop shipped products, even when you have evidence to the contrary. Integrity is not one of this company's values. Their "empowering local communities" is just pablum, and having questioned them on their initiatives, they have scant details (which makes sense for a dropshipper). Their "clothing with a conscience" tag line is pure BS.

Received my northbound parcel yesterday. The gloves are comfortable and are perfect for extreme and mild weather conditions. I adore the zippered pockets in these gloves. They are ideal for all weather.

In love with the cargo backpack. It has plenty of pockets and is versatile in terms of the way to carry it. It stores my tablet and other necessary stuff easily. They are perfect for hiking and weekend gateways.
