I purchased a jacket and the adventure pants online. Pics of the clothing look great online.
Delivery time was just over 3 weeks. Quite long for shipping these days. For reference Northbound is a Canadian company and I live on the West coats of Canada. I put up with the delivery time…I'm a patient person.
Unfortunately the clothing disappoints.
The jacket isn't very warm and I find the wind goes right through. The zippers are a complete let down. On the website there are pics or YKK zippers but the ones on the clothing are off brand and terrible. I fight and curse with the jacket every single time I try to zip it up.
I've been wearing it daily for a week and I'm already looking for a replacement.
I don't recommend either the jacket or the pants.
I have been trying to contact you as I need to exchange or return these pants. They are too big.
I love the products. There are some small adjustments (more reflective points) but nothing to dissuade me for enjoying my purchases.

I got my Northbound Gear Company adventure pants and wore them day hiking out on the Appalachian Trail here in GA the next day. They are super comfortable and cozy. I will say, that I will probably only wear them when it is really cold, which will be necessary here in a few weeks. The only issue I have is that they run a bit large, so I need a belt. I am usually a solid 12 and the 12 is pretty baggy on me. Otherwise, a superior product that I'm looking forward to wearing on those colder hikes.
Love the product. Shipping was very much delayed, order was placed November 10 and was to be delivered November 22, item was not received until December 8.
Having to return a $67 dollar jacket to BC, Canada at a cost of $33 + $5 Canadian restocking fee is ridiculous. You basically force people to keep your items they want to return.
I don't like the think now high pressure shopping. I appreciate the offer but don't do a count down to my purchasing decision.
I live in Cumbria I the UK. It can be damp and cold, wet and cold or freezing and cold here in the winter. Sometimes all three in the sane walk. I e just started using the Northbound "Adventure" water resistant trousers and I think they're going to be a life-saver. The fit's great, the quality excellent and they're warm and comfortable. The only thing I don't like is the orange zips on the pockets. But hey, life's not perfect either!
Not only do I wear my Northbound Gear pants for early morning winter walks with the dog, but I have found them to be flexible and warm enough to kneel on cold damp ground to plant bulbs this fall.
I have two pairs of these pants - I really like the higher waist and the zipper at the ankle adds more room when I've got my big boots on. These pants are warm without looking bulky and more stylish than snow pants for when I want to be out and about rather than on the slopes. [I am never on the slopes!;-)]
So far so good and the pants seems of good quality and appropriate for being outside when it's really cold.
