Bait and Switch
April 6, 2018

Ordered Oregon high quality mower belt and received a Jason Industrial Chinese nockoff instead of the Oregon. Jason belt is advertised on site for significantly less money and experience shows that the Jason belt has very short life. This seems to be a SOP for this underhanded company. They're MIA when trying to return the belt. These guys are listed on Walmart's site as EF Company but it the same shyster outfit. It's a shame that a "0" star rating is not possible.

I placed my order through Amazon and didnt realize it was a transaction with a marketplace provider. NAHVAC didnt ask in advance if they could send a substitute (non-equivalent) product. Maybe they just assumed that I would accept the substitute, but I wasnt ok with it since the market value of the substitute item was approximately 40% lower than the cost of the one I ordered. The quality of the substitute item was also not as good as the one advertised. Im not sure if their e-catalog just needs an update or if they intentionally misrepresent items. The returns process was easy via Amazon, but return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Fortunately, I was not assessed any restocking fees, and I did receive a prompt return credit. Nonetheless, my recommendation is to look elsewhere for parts until NAHVAC improves their business practices.

I complained and Sharissa did the same disappearing act after sending an email saying that is was the right part. Apparently they expect me to pay to ship back a part that I didn't ask for in order to get my money back. What a horrible company. I filed a claim with Amazon but I don't expect any help from them either. Wish I could get to IN to confront these crooks face to face.

I ordered a specific part using the correct part number for what I needed, and they send a sub version that had different connectors (same housing) but different outputs. They could not understand my need for the correct one. After no phone support, and emailing for over 1/2 a day I told them to give me an RMA so I could return the part.

I called a different retailer (SupplyHouse.com) and got the correct part next day air'd within 5 minutes.

I wouldn't recommend doing business with NorthAmericaHVAC

Ordered an Oregon branded bar/chain combo from this outfit through Amazon and they sent me a Timber Ridge - chinese junk - bar/chain combo instead. When applying for a return through Amazon - I got an email from N. A. HVAC saying that the product they shipped was the same quality and function. I could return it and they would waive the re-stocking fee (real nice of them) but that I had to pay the return shipping/insurance which was NO WAY. I ended up getting Amazon involved with an A-Z guarantee to have them contact this trash to send me a pre-paid label which at this point is still on going. I'm sure Amazon will make it right no matter what - but watch this 3rd party outfit when buying through Amazon in the future.

This is another review about this terrible company, selling inferior parts along with terrible customer service.
As a 74 year old Senior in Prince George, B. C., I wish I had read the reviews from others, of this unbelievably poor service company before I purchased anything from them. I would never have done business with them. As it is they have caused me nothing but grief and financial loss.
They continue to refuse to refund my money or to supply me with a working furnace part to replace the defective part I returned to them.
Please, for your own financial health and well being, stay far away from this company.

Just as most of the other reviewers mentioned, this company is a joke. They sold me a defective capacitor that lasted less than 4 months and then they took no responsibility for it at all. They even said I should be happy since I bought it online with a cheap price.

This seems to be a common problem with North American HVAC, they ship a completely different part from what you ordered and then when it doesn't work they blame you the customer and say its your fault and that it should work and they don't want to refund your order even though they sent an entirely different part than what was ordered. Terrible customer service and even worse quality control. This seems like a scam to me and should be illegal.

Beware@
August 2, 2017

Bought oven igniter from them. Picture and description in Amazon listing was of needed part. Part they sent was generic and useless and they won't refund return shipping for their mistakes or deceit. Picture #1 is part advertised and needed, picture #2 is part sent. Totally wrong part. Read online reviews of this company before even consider buying from them.

This company sent me a part that is defective and said that I was entitled to 50% back if it met their inspection requirements but would also need to supply them with proof of a registered ac contractor for refund. Of course they did not require that to purchase it. The fact is that I am a registered contractor but will never deal with them again. The part was a cheap lesson. $13 including shipping. I am glad I figured them out before I bought something big.

You know, I worked for this company and seeing all your reviews made me realize how crooked these people are! I'm seeing alot of you all saying your parts are beat up and refurbished and they are! They will take and SPRAY PAINT the part to hide the fact that it's already been installed by someone else or grind down rough looking areas on the motors. But let me guess you paid full price for a NEW part not some used part that probably does not even work! Half of the product in here has been sitting on the shelves for years corrosion going on with the parts but they don't care, hell the kicker is if you work for them they will force their religion on you and if you don't like it well I'm sorry buddy your going to get treated like $#*!! This company needs to be shut down someone call BBB for a inspection take your buisness somewhere else!

Buyer beware
June 17, 2017

I purchased a pan for a goodman model u32 coil that sits above the heating chamber of my gas furnace. Found out afterwards that there are different pans for the u32 coil depending on the temperature application; mine was wrong. Not an ounce of info on their site to let me know this beforehand. Now I'm stuck with restocking fee and shipping. They said I ordered the wrong part!. They didn't know there were differences till I questioned them about it and they called goodman. Experts?-BS.

1) No customer service number
2) Tracked down one number -- disconnected
3) They sent me email with tracking saying item shipped 6/8. On 6/15 UPS told me a label was generated but they were never given the item
4) Read a bunch of other reviews... wow. I guess I made a mistake buying from these guys!
UPDATE********************
5) After I disputed with PayPal, they shipped a motor to me immediately.
6) The motor was not new (I contacted the manufacturer). It was built in 2005 *Yes* 11 years old! It had corrosion on the casing (see photo attached)
7) It was shipped without documentation.
8) NorthAmericaHVAC is not an authorized distributor for the manufacturer (Genteq)

How do companies like this stay in business?

Do yourself a huge favor and do not purchase ANYTHING from this company. There is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE after the sale---and this is even if you receive the product. They will ignore all calls and all emails. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! READ ALL REVIEWS! THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM!
