I used to exclusively buy all my computer components from Newegg, but I recently had 2 back to back terrible experiences.

1) I needed a motherboard, ordered it and paid for 1-2 day shipping. The 3rd business comes around and I ask them where it's at, and they said it was out of stock (and this was actually Newegg, not just a seller on Newegg). I checked the website, it still said it was in stock... I didn't get my product for ALMOST A MONTH. Alright, it's fine, stuff happens, I order a 2nd motherboard from them

2) Motherboard #2 comes in and it is defective, so I send it back. They CLAIMED I bent a pin somewhere on the DEFECTIVE MOTHERBOARD and said they can't offer me a refund...

Honorable mentions:
They wouldn't release my money from the first motherboard, even though they couldn't tell me when my product would be in. Held my money hostage for a month
Customer support said I wouldn't have to pay for the return shipping for the 1st motherboard, that was a lie
They charged me a restocking fee for the 1st motherboard...

Ordered 2 sets of face mask during pandemic for work. I ONLY chose to order from NewEgg because per their website I could receive shipment by 4/24 (3-5 days) and 4/28 (5-7 days). I paid extra for 3-5 day delivery and 5-7 day delivery -Now 4/27 and these items still have not shipped. Their excuse for BOTH orders arriving late was that there was a pandemic and this delayed the shipping. THERE WAS A PANDEMIC WHEN I ORDERED THE ITEMS. All of the other more trusting websites did not mislead - they ALL said 2-4 weeks for shipping. New Egg lied to get my business and it worked! When I did a live chat with customer service she kept telling me that they did not receive orders until 1 week after I placed the order so the 3-5 days did not start until then... I order 4/19 for 3-5 days they did not ship until 4/27 there for they have until May1- 5 to get shipment (3-5 day delivery one) and May 5-7 (5-7 day) to me. When i asked when i could expect to receive it she said she did not Know there were delays due to virus! Scammmmmmers! They have even sent me at least emails everyday saying order received and ETA of 4/23 and 4/28 and NOW they are making excuses that they did not ACTUALLY receive the order? My first email was received on April 20th. My credit card was charged on April 21st! But they are now claiming they did not receive the order until 4/27? Lies. I cannot trust this company and will not order from them again. This will cost me alot more than the items - i will lose work over this. Being dishonest does not go far with me.

Called Newegg just today on this. They are using sub-sellers (but fronting the purchase with Newegg logo) who are NOT shipping product but ARE charging accounts without the item shipping. Item been sitting for weeks in "shipping label created". Called Newegg for a refund and they just refer me to the sub-seller. "Yes we charge for the sale, but you have to deal with them on refunds". That is NO WAY to treat customers! If YOU want to have sub-seller outside the US for YOUR margin, YOU should also front the problems. Old trick in the book... we will take your money, but you have to go "over there" if you want a refund. Horrible. I've used Newegg for 20 years. No more. No wonder they are almost going out of business.

Marketplace orders can be slow to ship and can take up to 8 days to arrive, Newegg has no control over the order, once it is sent to a marketplace seller. Some don't work weekends so you can't communicate at all. If you do purchase from a marketplace seller, make sure you read all the fine print and check their return/cancellation policy. Restock fees may be charged. I would personally try Amazon first.

I ordered my product not long ago, it was on the 24 of january, I waited till february 3, I was in class when i saw that they have sent an email that my package arrived so i didn t gove it too much tought (even tought he left it at the feont door) when i came back home i did not find anything. I panicked and i called them right away. Of course they told me that it s okey and should just file a claim and go to a police station to file a report wich i did. I waited 10 more days ( i called 5 times to male sure they have all my information and that my claim is still pending). Finally they just told me that they are sorry but the item was delivered at the right place and i just lost 1121$ just because i ordered from newegg. Thank you for that expirience.

Utter trash

Purchased a "marketplace" item.

Newegg billed me and sent a ship notice. A couple weeks later, the notice is still in "label created" status and the item is out of stock.
Newegg CS will only contact the seller on my behalf. They won't refund my purchase until they resolve the issue with the seller, making my money a nice 0% loan for however long it takes them to fart around with that. I've disputed the charge with my bank, so at least there's a hard limit there.

Keep in mind: *Newegg* is the billing and invoicing agent here. They can see the same statuses I can. They have every ability to refund my purchase and deal with the vendor on their own time. They just want me to fund that time.

They used to be my go-to place. I apparently was gone for a while, because they're not the Newegg I used to shop at.

They sell counterfeit giftcards and then have horrible customer service which takes HOURS to accomplish essentially nothing. Customer service is rude and extremely slow to get anything done or respond. Sat for 15 waiting for a supervisor, supervisor Vin was very rude and unhelpful. A bad company ten years ago and a worse company now. They failed completely to get back to me through email as promised and they still dally and give me the run around. I will likely have to do a chargeback. STAY AWAY FROM NEWEGG, it is the worst customer service I've had in decades. Supervisor Vin was extremely rude and refused to give me HIS boss when asked.

I have purchased from this company and there are a few major issues that customers should be aware of:

The price was much more expensive than if purchased directly from the manufacturer in Canada - they refused to match the price when informed

The shipping fees: you will be responsible for payment of the shipping /custom fees unless you flag it back to them and then they would finally pick up the cost

The language: everything that was shipped to us, including the user manual, robot "voice" etc. is in Mandarin Chinese - we have to do our own arrangements and find the appropriate documents in English

I would never purchase from this vendor again given all the circumstances described above

NewEgg, wow. They lost my $1000 package and then wouldn't replace it or give credit for it, since they said it was over $500. They gave me the run around, said I had to deal with the police (when the F****** package was delivered to someone else ("Carrier/NewEgg issue") not a police matter) Now I am out $1000. Their customer support team is total trash, accusing and blatantly disrespectful, (when you can actually get ahold of them.) Their products are good, but so are Amazons, which is where I'm taking all of my high priced business from now on. Only thing that would change this review is for them to replace what THEY lost, so don't message me NewEgg unless you're going to replace it.

I recently purchased GiftCards through a marketplace of over $1,000 in credits. I made the purchase and my account was suspended right away for verification issues. A week later, I asked for an update and my account couldn't be unlocked. Including the loss of my Newegg Points and my account of a valued customer for a couple of years, I lost hundreds of dollars on the gift cards. I asked and chatted with no avail. The giftcard balances were not going to be returned to me and no information was disclosed to me due to "Security Reasons". Instead they suggested I make a new account and repurchase the items TO MY OWN ACCORD after being out of $1,000 in gift cards. I'm beyond pissed and angry with not only the support, but the Webstore as a whole. I'll be deferring anyone from using Newegg from now on and will continue to give bad ratings.

Amazing Service

False Advertising

On December 5th I was researching ASUS monitors to upgrade from my current one. I was pulled into their website based on an advertised range of $40-250 price range on what I was looking for. I purchased the monitor for $42 dollars and two days later received email that it was being cancelled due to a price error. Seems more like a calculated risk due to the shopping season and false advertising would bring in additional customers to their website. They were nice enough to give a 5 dollar gift card that I have 90 days to use at their website.

False advertising

They false advertise their non refundable products then when you realize it's not the product you wanted they throw their no refund policy in your face and make it look like it was your fault.

I noticed a lot of ppl here had problems w customer service.
I spoke w the Cust Serv representative (RJ) and his supervisor (Vin) for over an hour. They both lied about product description and were generally unhelpful. This is my first and last purchase with Newegg 0 stars

I purchased a new motherboard. The box didn't seem damaged but when I opened everything up the area where the pins connect to the CPU did seem damaged. I contacted the customer support immediately and explained the situation and they said that they would be able to replace the damaged item. I sent it back the next morning after our online chat. 6 days later I get an email saying that they cannot replace the item and that they will be returning the broken item in 3-5 days? I contacted the customer support service again trying to figure out why. They said that there policy doesn't cover damaged items. Yet I received the item in its state, returned it the day after it was delivered to me? I mentioned that I explained this to the customer service rep the day I received it and they said they could replace it. She recommended I call the manufacturing company instead?!? I feel robbed and I recommend any consumer to stay away from this company, it's a few dollars cheaper but they make there money on sending you broken parts.

This place, in my opinion has gone to hell. Order from Amazon folks!

I placed an order for a new business laptop, the order was processed, confirmed, I was sent an invoice, my credit card was charged and I got a notification of shipment including the day, time, and place the order was shipped from. Then, the next day, I get a notice saying that in fact the item was not in stock and that my order was "RMA'd". When i looked at the RMA, the reason given was that I no longer needed it; which was false --- I had nothing to do with this.

I complained to NewEgg and they didn't seem to give a damn about this and from what I gathered consider it totally normal. They processed the "RMA" and I got another invoice showing a credit; the web-site shows the credit and says the refund is complete. Then, after all of this, I look in my bank account and I was charged for the order --- note this was AFTER the RMA was supposedly processed. Again, I get hold of NewEgg and they have no idea why this was; that's just the way things work I guess.

So, I am out $800, for which I now need to dispute the credit card transaction, NewEgg doesn't know why they took $800 out of my bank account and I have no laptop. Not surprisingly, the laptop I ordered turned up listed for almost $200 more than the price I had ordered it at. So we call this a bait and switch me-thinks.

I think they are crooks and i say this after being a customer for many years.
