I purchased a new Asus laptop for grad school. It had issues from day 1. I contacted NewEgg support who informed me that I cannot return the laptop because I don't have the original box. I had to send it into Asus for repair - which they replaced my motherboard.
Have it back for a couple of weeks and now I can't get it to turn on. Call Asus and have to send it back in. Contact NewEgg and can't return because it's out of 30-days. Plus I don't have the original box, plus I sent it in for repairs so that would void my ability to return it anyway (wow super helpful add).
Basically no one can help - except "great news", I can send it in for repairs through Asus. In the past 2 months, I've barely been able to use my brand new laptop for grad school.
I am extremely disappointed in NewEgg/Asus policies and will only buy macs from now on. While I know this is an exception (as my Software Architect boyfriend loves Asus and NewEgg), I can't believe this is a real situation where a company will not refund a completely defective computer. I am stuck with an unreliable brand new laptop.

So, in the past, I had always done the vast majority of my shopping at Newegg. They have a great product selection, and a very easy to use filter/sort system for categories. Since newegg was bought out a few years ago now, things have slowly made a turn for the worse. I continue to find that "deals" are rarely even deals anymore. I can usually find items from other major retailers (no specific names will be given) that are better priced even when not on sale. The customer service has basically decided that its customers dont matter and it has really started to show in a few particular transactions this last year. The worst part for me is the misleading shipping times. The actual shipping time estimates are usually fine. The part that they are not upfront about is the pre-shipment prep time, which has gotten pretty ridiculous recently. 3-day shipping becomes 6-7 day shipping essentially. Dont even bother with free shipping, as it will quite literally take almost 2 weeks in most circumstances. My advice for using newegg is like a Christmas catelog: look for what you want there, buy elsewhere (my recommendation is the E-tailer giant that may or may not rhyme with wamazon). Seriously, just dont bother with them unless you cant find the thing you're looking for anywhere else.

I purchased a EVGA Nvidia 2080 Super card that came with two free promotional games. Wolfenstein YoungBlood and Control, which showcase the new Ray-Tracing technology the video card offers.
The codes were invalid. Contacted Nvidia who was excellent and very quick with replying but they stated since I purchased it through NewEgg, it was NewEgg's responsibility to provide me with the two free promotional games.
NewEgg at first escalated my case only to reply after 2 days with instructions on how to redeem the game (which I knew).
I called back, spoke to a supervisor and she had to re-escalate it which now makes me wait the weekend. This has been going from 9/17 to at least 9/23/19.
The redemption codes were invalid. My complaint is on how long the resolution process is and why did I get issued invalid redemption codes in the first place.
I bought the card of NewEgg for the discount offered and now I regret it.
Deal with Nvidia, they are professional and there to help with any issues.

Made a purchase and paid a hefty sum for expedited shipping. Tried emailing and calling the company as this was an important gift for a departing executive. They never answer the phone... you will only receive auto response emails... received order and payment confirmation, then out of the blue, received a refund email. Tried contacting the customer service they indicate on the website but they just tell you the company must be contacted directly... horrible experience.

First and foremost I am a long time customer with Newegg. They offer a good selection on a variety of consumer electronics as well as computers and computer components. I have built 3 computers with Newegg in the span of my business relationship. They offer competitive pricing as well as excellent and quite frequent sales events. I have enjoyed their customer service, all of my issues have been addressed in a timely fashion, maybe that's not the case for some, but it has for me. In my family I was always the favorite child >_> ANYWAY! The other great thing about Newegg that I haven't seen with many other online stores is that they let you ship your items to the nearest FedEx Office Print & Ship Center. So if you're not a fan of package theft off the porch like me, this option might be good for you. I find it handy because I have mine tied into a store right up the road from where I work, on lunch I can swing by flash my drivers and leave with my loot.
Should mention on the matter of free shipping, depends what your getting, (your mileage will vary)

This was my second bad experience with newegg. The first was a pricey PC that came with a nonfunctional DVD player and they have refused to do anything about it other than "invite" me to to fix it myself; that situation is still being resolved thru the credit card company.
Part of trying to get thru that, I TRIED to buy an external Bluray/DVD player from newegg, figuring that would be good enough. They were selling an Asus for a lot less that everywhere else, so i paid the money and waited for it to arrive. Apparently it was an online typo or something. They sent out an HDMI cable instead of the player! No use to me, of course. When I notified them they said first they'd exchange things and get me the player. Then, suddenly the player disappeared from the website, the price changes, and in a flurry of emails I was told i was being refunded instead and that was all--no player. They acted like they were being gracious in "letting you keep" the cheap cable rather than paying for the shipping to return it.
I've told them several times I want the player but they are NOT doing the honorable thing and honoring their sales price and sending the player I paid for 3 weeks ago.
Also--they ship small machines by media mail. Just FYI--it's not media, it's wrong and takes forever.

I purchased an Alhua DHR from NewEgg via eBay. I needed some technical assistance and called Alhua. They told me that NewEgg was not an authorized distributor and they couldn't even recognize the serial number of the unit. NOWHERE IN THE EBAY LISTING WAS THIS DISCLOSED. Accordingly, Alhua is not required to support the unit nor give a manufacturer's warranty.

It's Amazon for just tech. Also frequently has deals. I go here to pc parts or extra peripheral items for my desktop.
Newegg Customer service used to be the best in the industry. Most recent purchase was a disaster. Newegg recalled the package, as I'm home waiting for it to arrive (taking time off of work). Reps gave me the run around on the reason. As much as I hate buying from them, Amazon is the way to go on price/customer service.

First of all they are slow. Customer service is not good. Prices are not competitive. I don't need to pay sales tax for California which is good.
This site use to be awesome, But lately they take like 2 weeks to get something. The user experience is still great on the site, and I often browse the site than find the product in amazon and order it there.
Warning! Do not buy open box items on Newegg! Buy used electronics on eBay instead! Customer service can't tell you what is included with whatever you are purchasing! Reputable eBay sellers will tell you every detail about what you are purchasing! I bought an open box MSI Performance Gaming B350M Gaming Pro motherboard off of Newegg, and on top of not including the motherboard IO shield (motherboard backplate), it also did not include the AM4 heatsink retention bracket, which is supposedly nothing more than an accessory according to Newegg's open box policy! According to them it is a nicety that is not required to use the motherboard!
They had the wrong WIFI Card listed for my computer. I ordered it, and didn't receive a packing slip so didn't have an order number. When I tried to reach "Customer Service," the system said Item was "not eligible" for return. When I tried to reach a human "Customer Service" agent by pressing "2," the system said, "The number is no longer in service". WTF? Avoid newegg unless you like being ripped off!

These people lie- said they issued a refund on the 23rd of May- It's the 31st, no refund. Checked with my credit card company, no refund has been issued. 20 emails later, all BS. Will never buy from a company like this again no matter what the price is- AMAZON ALL THE WAY.

Have bought from the company numerous times. They offer deals from time to time but you have to be careful and check elsewhere. They were much better with deals that couldn't be matched in the past. Not so much any more. There is far more competition in there area online now. Where they particularly stumble is with their customer service. Where I did have a problem either with a product, shipment, return or whatever they were always quick to make you do the heavy lifting in getting a problem rectified. You needed to push then too often to get your problem resolved. They are not a golden rule type of customer service orientation. I do less business with them now then I used to. They do however have a wide variety of products available and is a good place to research a product

Ordered a a lenovo laptop, a mouse mat, and a 500gb hdd, a cooling fan, and it got here when they said and notified me instantly when there were issues.
Answer: The reason why i gave a bad review was because i ordered a phone for my wife, An I-phone 5 and NewEgg.com only sent a box with the manual and a charger for the phone. I called NewEgg.com and explained to them and they stated i needed to wait while they investigate, they never got back to me so i called them again. The person i talked to put me on hold then came back to me and stated she was checking this what was going on and kept putting me on hold for a total of 45 minutes to only come back and tell me that i need to send them a picture of the box and contents. I have no clue what my wife or children did with the box now i am screwed. 219.00 down the drain. This was the first and last purchase i will make until the get this straight.
