The company's reputation is marked by a stark divide in customer experiences. On one hand, some clients commend the quality of specific services, particularly in web design and SEO assistance, highlighting instances of exceptional customer support. However, a significant number of reviews reveal persistent issues, including slow response times, inadequate technical support, and billing disputes, which contribute to a growing sense of frustration among long-term users. Overall, while there are positive interactions, the prevailing sentiment underscores a troubling decline in service quality and reliability, prompting many customers to seek alternatives.

I was charged for email I wasn't aware of I wasn't told about it. Also I was charged for the websitle Builders for their monthly building charges. I'm not happy about that. I was told by the web.com assistant to bad. I had told them 3 or 4 times to disable this feature I was not going to use ther help this month. Can't just keep making charges on my credit card.
Until I get into the site and am sure it is spelled correctly, I am uncertain.
Can't find out how to update contact info. The email had step by step instructions but the site was missing (or I can't find) the buttons to click on.
I don't like the purchasing experience. Stop putting things in my shopping cart that I didn't select. It's shady. Makes me want to quit using your service.
Used wordpress wich has become unusable due to so may errors. The only way I can see forwards is by getting a fresh slate which I have no idea how to do as wordpress doesn't have a support email just forums which are useless. Furthermore I don't even know if I can start a new wordpress site as I have no clue how to reset or delete my current one and whether or not I need to purchase a new plan. For a website accessible to all you must have great knowledge and experience with websites and programming if you want t resolve an error.
I will happily change my review once I get a useable website but for now I can't do anything but let my frustration build as I've wasted all afternoon and evening trying to find solutions with no success.
You've DOUBLED the cost of exchange plan 1 compared to buying direct from microsoft. You stink, I'll never buy anything from you again
I just logged in, and domain is asking for a rating for logging in. Ok
After over two decades of being a loyal customer of Register.com, it's with regret that I find myself needing to share a less than satisfactory experience. My journey with their services took a downturn starting from an SSL issue early in the year, which, despite numerous calls and assurances, remains unresolved to this day.
I reached out to the support team multiple times, only to be shuffled from one representative to another without any concrete resolution. The so-called 'expert team' in the USA even declared the issue resolved in an email which clearly, from my ongoing struggles, it was not. When I sought to cancel the service and requested a refund for the undelivered services, my plea seemingly fell on deaf ears.
To add insult to injury, a separate issue with an outdated SSL certificate has disrupted my ability to receive emails for an extended period, further impacting my business operations. A ticket (I*******) was raised, yet I was informed no action had been taken. I was also told I could not receive written confirmation of our conversations nor any acknowledgment of the support provided, leaving me with no paper trail to back my claims.
The inability to secure a refund or even an acknowledgment in writing from Register.com is not only frustrating but feels dismissive of my long-term commitment to their service. The lack of accountability and transparency is concerning, and I urge potential customers to consider this experience when choosing a hosting service provider.
I am now in the process of closing all services with Register.com and wish to caution others. The once dependable and customer-focused service I knew has regrettably declined, and it is important for others to be aware of this before making a decision that could impact their own web presence and business.
I am very disappointed.
I got charged for months with no benefits.

Had server issues on this hosting from the first day. As a designer, I have worked with a number of hosting companies and customer service agents. This company doesn't read well (never addressed the issue) and never resolved the problem and errors after 4 weeks of resetting everything a number of times. Then, had the audacity to charge the owner to install her Wordpress site since I was unable to log in to the admin due to their server issues. To date, it still isn't working.
Logging in was not possible at first and loading tabs in the page is painfully slow
Confused when buying domain name and ended up with 2 orders and payments for same domain name so was frustrated with spending extra money unnecessarily. Also had to pick a.com and.site before I could check out. Not sure why but just forcing to pay more money.
Not fast not easy to use, I have more than 8 years of using different platforms
Dont care for Word Press and difficult to dissolve and move to new web host
Its kind of confusing. But after you work with web. It started to make sense.
I was charged extra for something that was unclear from when I purchased my initial things. The website is also slightly confusing to navigate
Would not recommend, it's in the very low end of website builders you can use, will not use again
They always make sure all if my questions are answered.
Since its my 1st time ita a good experience for me
Answer: We are located in Australia and trying to make contact is virtually impossible. They don't respond to emails, Calling them is an expensive international phone call, The time zone is completely different so I had to call at some ungodly hour of the morning, they are not friendly and find dealing with customers a big pain. They offer no real value and have no idea of what customer service is.
Answer: I had to ring my credit card company and get them to stop the payment
Answer: I was working with a consultant from the Small Business Development Center when I began my business. She advised me to register my LLC and then to go to Register.com to buy the domain name before anyone else could. Later on, she suggested Register when I was looking for hosting.
