The company's reputation is marked by a stark divide in customer experiences. On one hand, some clients commend the quality of specific services, particularly in web design and SEO assistance, highlighting instances of exceptional customer support. However, a significant number of reviews reveal persistent issues, including slow response times, inadequate technical support, and billing disputes, which contribute to a growing sense of frustration among long-term users. Overall, while there are positive interactions, the prevailing sentiment underscores a troubling decline in service quality and reliability, prompting many customers to seek alternatives.

So I received a notification that my domain was going to expire. No problem since I have auto renew on. I received a billing statement but kept getting emails saying the domain was expiring. I didn't think much about it until I went to my website and it was gone. I logged it and my domain was expired and I could not renew it. Turns out it domain.com did not renew my domain.
I wish i had the website i paid for with the e-commerce package... as I look at the left side of my account page, this feature is no where in sight... idk?
Excellent and easy to use. Chat is always quick with responses.
Well, for an old dude in his 70s, I'm muddling through okay.
I live it very much, sooner later I will try my first web with you.
I have bought a domain and it simply does not appear here in my account.
It used to be a nice, friendly, well run place. Now the only thing you are good at is billing. You're very good at billing.
Website Builder page keeps shutting down when I'm working.
Saw a notification flash across my phone yesterday alerting to a credit card charge from register.com. Contacted them to see what it was for. The first rep took so long looking into the issue that I had to log off. I asked that the details of the charge be emailed to me and left that address. NO FOLLOW UP. Later contacted them again and 2nd rep found out the charge was for a client's domain and email service - even though 3 of the 4 credit cards associated with the account were the client's they chose to charge my card. I asked who authorized the charge and they said they had contacted the client by phone but couldn't prove it. I spoke with the client and he reported that no one had contacted him. I believe him. THEY LIED. When I confronted them about the potential FRAUD they had committed (charging a card without authorization) I was told "I understand your concern." My client paid me back for the charge but I was left with clear sense that register.com operates unethically - and maybe worse.
I tried to payment for my domain renew today but the domain.com hosting page didn't show up, so I don't know what can I do and the customer service didn't answer also. How did they customer service like that?
Very bad customer service. Even I called to customer service telephone number, the telephone number *******630 but it answer by answering voice that, we can't support telephone, we only chat, then when I tried to chat, it was not respond. This is not good customer service. Why the company like that?
I asked for my site to be created in WordPress so I could manage it myself and make changes such as the theme. Your staff used something called "Bricks" which prevents me from changing themes without losing the entire site. For whatever reason, using Bricks doesn't allow the storing of images in the file location, so even if I change the theme and try to set it up I will need to create the entire site from the ground up. I paid Web.com $1500 to do that, and now I have to do it over. I should be refunded in full.
I hate this service. The hosting DNS records is really obfuscated and weird, and I would rather host on a place with non-confusing and good DNS recording, so I can actually code the website. ALSO, hosting plans cost WAY too much!

Answer: We are located in Australia and trying to make contact is virtually impossible. They don't respond to emails, Calling them is an expensive international phone call, The time zone is completely different so I had to call at some ungodly hour of the morning, they are not friendly and find dealing with customers a big pain. They offer no real value and have no idea of what customer service is.
Answer: I had to ring my credit card company and get them to stop the payment
Answer: I was working with a consultant from the Small Business Development Center when I began my business. She advised me to register my LLC and then to go to Register.com to buy the domain name before anyone else could. Later on, she suggested Register when I was looking for hosting.
