The company's reputation is marked by a stark divide in customer experiences. On one hand, some clients commend the quality of specific services, particularly in web design and SEO assistance, highlighting instances of exceptional customer support. However, a significant number of reviews reveal persistent issues, including slow response times, inadequate technical support, and billing disputes, which contribute to a growing sense of frustration among long-term users. Overall, while there are positive interactions, the prevailing sentiment underscores a troubling decline in service quality and reliability, prompting many customers to seek alternatives.

Horrible customer service and transfer experience. We website is down and I am loosing my livelyhood
They charge you TWICE at least and if you dont notice you will not get NOR money back NOR domain
Chasing them to find out WHERE DOMAIN IS GONE and apparently they opened (without me even knowing) ANOTHER ACCOUNT! How I dont know about it? No notifications sent, domain not in use. I am chasing forever to find out what and where and NOBODY IS CLEAR just repeating that I DID open another account. WHAT FOR? And HOW can I under the same email? ABSOLUTE FRAUD. LOST 56USD and no domain still. I can post pictures but because of domain that exist prefer to be anonymous. BUT the one i paid for NON EXISTANT and ist somewhere in 'another account', great!
Not satisfied with the setup and service considering the pricing
Support great, daily emails with offers AFTER you paid for everything are REALLY annoying! The rest is ok, not great, but pretty good...
So far, minus a few buffering issues and a redirect, this has been painless.
Can't log in on my computer I keep getting an error message saying that there is an issue on the websites end and that they are working on it but I seem to have no problem logging in on my phone
- Phone support was impossible to get through to, the automated answering machine need updating.
- Online support is full of good employees doing their best. Yet, many of them were not technical enough to truly help solve the problem I had. I spent 6 hours with support only to find that someone finally noticed a mis-type in our IP address... after id previously asked a different support person to confirm we had typed it right.
- Page weight is too heavy, all the loading of our site is slow and makes it look tacky.
- The UI of creating the site is nice. But actually getting it published and dealing with the technical side of things was a nightmare. You need better, more clear instructions for setting up a custom domain and for SSL certificates. Instead of just constantly trying to sell me things I don't need.
I enjoy using domain.com. It meets all my needs. The customer support is great.
5 years ago they were great and customer services was accessible but not it is very hard to solve issues.
Everything is through chat, they do not have a phone number. It takes them 72 hours or more for them to get back to you. When they finally respond it is an email not solving the problem but just going over the problem. I don't think they understand that they support business and business can not afford to be shut down for weeks. All we needed was to make a payment because it did not renewed automatically. It is taking weeks to "solve" this problem.
When I began the process of migrating 2 websites to web.com I understood that the domain and websites were being transferred. It took weeks to finally have someone explain/clarify that the websites were not being transferred.
You sent me several emails with discount codes, and none of the codes work. :(
All good. Just need to find settings to set up outlook to send email. I can receive email but not send...
Nameservers got reset to default from what they should be. I changed them back but was told it would take 24-48 hours. After waiting 24 hrs with no work email, I called but there was nothing they said they could do. After 48 hrs with work email (send or receive), I called again. This time he said they he would enter the info but failed to mention it would reset the clock again. I asked "so now I have to wait another 48 hrs for my company email to work" He replied it could take up to 48 hrs but should only take a few hours. So if you own a business find someone else to manage your Domain. DO NOT USE web.com
So frustration at the process, the lack of ability to use the traditional websitebuilder software, and the extremely high fees, including monthly charges for redirect, which is just a ripoff.
Major issues with creating account. Resolved those issues, made my payment and now when I login to select "Manage Domain" or "Design Webpage", I get the "Blue Circle of Death". The page starts to load up but it never does. I have waited 10 minutes and it never loaded up.
It is unclear for what service I am being billed. I was recently billed and paid 4 amounts, 72.00,69.99,8.99,4.99. Please explain each of these. Also, why is it that I have another bill for my domain on 23 June?
I think the site builder is pretty easy to use and support was helpful when I reached out to them
I just registered and have yet to utilize the services, I will give it an honest review when the time is right.
Answer: We are located in Australia and trying to make contact is virtually impossible. They don't respond to emails, Calling them is an expensive international phone call, The time zone is completely different so I had to call at some ungodly hour of the morning, they are not friendly and find dealing with customers a big pain. They offer no real value and have no idea of what customer service is.
Answer: I had to ring my credit card company and get them to stop the payment
Answer: I was working with a consultant from the Small Business Development Center when I began my business. She advised me to register my LLC and then to go to Register.com to buy the domain name before anyone else could. Later on, she suggested Register when I was looking for hosting.
