Hi. We had a lot of trouble with payment, and no clear indication what was wrong every time. We tried 3 different Credit Cards, and used PayPal at the end which worked.
So far so good

So far my experience has been largely positive

Plain and simple they support spammers they sell cheap domain names to spammers and do nothing about it when they break the law please do not support sites such as this
I've been hosting my WordPress website with Namecheap website hosting account for about 4 months, I like this web host. I love working with the support team! I always receive professional help and thanks to them there aren`t any bugs. They answer super fast and they really help when i need. I am quite satisfied using their hosting services.
While NameCheap is low cost, you pay for that with poor customer service. Everything is chat and the chat person is taking 4 more sessions at the same time. They are not paying attention to you, you can tell this by the long gaps to respond to your replies and questions. I like to have the full focus of the chat person and not have them get mixed up. In my experience, the support people are not inclined to match the support that the customer needs.
I also learned that Cheap means "you get it our way or no way". I wanted to pay for a block of extra domain services at the time of renewal but they refused and pedantically required me to pay for separately for the same domain. I only used them one year and moved on.
Best Customer service. Tatyana was very helpful. She was very patient assisting with my SSL installation.
Once you register a domain with NameCheap, expect 2 things:
1 - an email from them basically stating that they can cancel your domain at any time and that you basically do not have any rights to your domain name or account
2- expect a MASSIVE amount of new spam. They share your contact info broadly and the spam comes is huge quantity.
I am a regular customer and have been using this for 10 years.
They are reliable and have easy to use UI with good customer support.
They can do better if they can reduce their prices though...
I have around 100+ domain with namecheap! They are awesome their support is also good!

Domain pricing for some TLDs are great. I am using namecheap since 2008 I think. And they are good plus their support is fast.
I've used NameCheap a lot for personal projects and for a lot of clients as well. They got a good pricing model when it comes to costs of hosting (first year is considerably discounted) and their customer support is very responsive, pleasant and professional.
Several Associates of the Hosting staff have been very participatory in exchanging useful information. I used to dread calling their staff as I never understood what they were talking about. Now I enjoy interacting with them. Being able to share screenshots with them is very beneficial also. Huge shout out to Eugene P.
Since around 2002 I have used around 13 different domain registrars for a number of different reasons. In this case, I specifically want to mention Namecheap. They used to be one of the best registrar to choose from around 2009, but they have seriously sold out in terms of customer service and consumer protections. Recently decided to start to put together a new website as a public resource to help content creators learn their rights in regards to fair use, but my registration of a domain for this purpose was rejected by NameCheap. I'm currently in the process of cutting ties with them and moving my domains over to another competing registrar, but that's not the only issue I have had with them. I've had them refund me my money and unregister a domain due to a "billing error", though the money had left my account and I had already had a website up on the domain they refunded. They then took the domain away, and when I went to re-register, it wouldn't let me. I gave up on the domain, but I do see it registered by someone else now.
Their support sucks and their security sucks.
Best support, best price, quick response. Like it very much. Must recommend others to shift to it. Uptime of hosting is perfect and when-ever I have complaint, I talk to live chat. They have responsive and technical team available on live chat so its get very easier to get issue resolved.
Sorry to say a very bad experience. You cannot reach them by phone only chat and email. I ordered a domain though them and they tacked on another domain and charged me for it without my knowledge. When I contacted the and showed the activation email and how it only had one domain instead of two this is how they responded.
"Much to our regret it is not possible to cancel the domain names registration and issue a refund since they were registered more than 72 hours. However, we may offer you the following options:
- try selling the domains on our Marketplace (you can find more information here: https://www.namecheap.com/support/knowledgebase/article.aspx/38/15/what-is-namecheaps-marketplace)
- push them to another Namecheap user
- simply let them expire.
If none of the options is suitable to you, we can remove the domains from your account as a courtesy. If latter is the case, please confirm the following:
Namecheap will immediately become the registrant of the domain names and you will lose any and all rights to them. You understand the domains may be used, auctioned, renewed, or deleted at any time without your approval or compensation. There is no recovery, renewal or grace period once in this state. You cannot re-register or re-purchase the domains."
The protection is very weak and the support is not useful at all if you have a domain move now or close your account after a short period and you will never have it.
I wish Enom to close the distribution of domains for this company because it does not deserve to be a company actually.
It's the worst company ever. They stopped my account without me knowing and it's been so far 3 days and they didn't solve my problem and they are not helping me at all and my website is down and I can't enter to my account at namecheap to fix it and I'm losing money every hour because of them, it's the worst company ever. I'll change it immediately when I got the account back, name.com is the best ever, I have 2 domins at name.com and I have never faced even 1 problem..
Namecheap is a domain name registrar and web hosting company. We love our customers and thrive on making them happy.
