One of my friends is a NACA member and he has already purchased his house in Virginia through NACA. His nephew also purchases his home in the Bronx through NACA. I was approved twice (yeah!) but could not find a home. I hope that my third time is the charm, as they say.
I found out about NACA thru a family member. I researched more to see what the program was about. I was excited and started the process. I had some roadblocks but now work with a great mortgage counselor. I am excited to complete the process to own my own home. I would encourage everyone to look into the program Linda S. 11-04-2021
I'm going through the process now and so far NACA has been a very smooth process. My housing counselor is awesome very thorough and have been hands on throughout my process. I was submitted for qualification but it did not go through the first time due to very minor things needed so I was given a new action plan to complete. My action plan was complete the same day now I am awaiting resubmission for qualification. I have nothing bad to say so far this NACA journey is going very well. As long as you do all that is needed within the time frame you are given you will be on your way to home ownership and with all the great benefits NACA has to offer I am determined to stick it out.
My husband and I just started the process and are looking forward to getting approved soon for our new house. Our intake session was great and the counselor answered all our questions. This process will save us so much money. We are so excited!

My NACA experience started off a little shaky because of the pandemic which had recently begun. All interactions had become virtual and I'm sure that effected scheduling. That being said, I am excited about becoming a first-time homebuyer and the NACA program has given me the confidence that I can finally realize my dream. I am a single, self-employed individual and I had lacked the confidence that I could own my own home until I was introduced to NACA. I look forward to sharing NACA with others who may also be good candidates for the program.
During the uncertainty, I was unfortunately assigned to a new counselor which delayed things a bit. But fortunately, I was assigned to Sharon Bogney who has been excellent! Sharon has moved things along smoothly and in a timely manner. She has given me proper instructions which have made the process a lot less stressful. Also, she has been there to answer my questions and get me to where I need to be as efficiently as possible. The NACA program and Sharon have truly been a blessing!
NACA is the best Home buyer Program.it is slow and will take some times to get what we want I like to say to everyone be patient and you will be glade on your decisions!
I have been on this program about four month, also I am almost done!.
I learned about NACA through word of mouth and the process so far has gone smoothly. I am excited that we have a program that is willing to look at more than just a credit score!
I learned of the NACA program through a friend & I am so happy that I decided to give it a try! My counselor Daphne is very knowledgeable and has been very helpful throughout the process thus far. I am extremely excited about the process and the opportunity to purchase my new home through NACA
I have been a member of NACA for a couple of years now. My current counselor Darryl Hughes, wears many hats with NACA and will do his best to get you qualified and approved to buy your home. I have learned a lot about the home buying process since being a member.
We have just begun our NACA home ownership journey. So far our initial counseling session went very smooth and Dwayne was extremely thorough and patient, answered all our questions and left us with a clear plan and vision.
Our follow up session with NACA was very helpful and encouraging. The person working with us made sure we understood how the process works. She was very patient in explaining what we needed to proceed and motivated us to get things in on time. There was a very friendly atmosphere and she was easy to talk to. I am looking forward to working more with this company and purchasing our first home through them.
They don't tell you about the $25,000 lien they place on your home for the life of the loan. If you want to sell the home you purchased thru NACA, you must first get a release from them. This is NOT free and clear title, since you come in the door with a lien on your property. Something they really should explain during their "counseling" sessions.
Homeowners are required to do a review as part of an obligation, after purchasing a home, to get mandatory volunteer credit hours. Keep that in mind when reading these reviews.
My family have not closed just yet. So far the process is going pretty smooth. My counselor is amazing! She's working with me step by step making sure I have everything I need prior to our appointments.
NACA is a great program for people that are self employed and have alot of deductions and write offs. They calcualte your income in a differnet way than a traditional mortgage company. I qualified for way more money through the NACA program vs my local credit union. This is a great company!
If you are interested in buying a home and looking for a program with no money down, no closing cost & the lowest interest rate among lenders, I suggest you Go the NACA way
NACA is a great program, but you must be diligent and have patience. It also depends on how good your Mortgage Counselor (MC) is too. My MC is Antonio Coronado and he is the best. He will make sure everything is in order before it goes to underwriting. Trust the process and be patient.
NACA is an excellent program to help hardworking individuals get a home. The NACA program makes homebuying possible when the big banks and lending companies make it feel impossible. Through NACA and its staff, the home buyer is examined based on "character and not credit." I am glad we chose to do things the NACA way.
My process with Naca had been great so far, I mean they ask for a lot of information but it necessary. My counselors have been great and very helpful all the way. I'm hoping and praying that I am successful in obtaining my home that has sentimental value to me and I am thankful for the assistance of Mr. James Patterson and Mr. James Brown
I found out about NACA threw a coworker. Who purchased a A beautiful home. I'm now in the process. I love that this program really helps you. My counselor has been wonderful an very patient with me I love that. (Deborah Truitt). Looking forward to purchasing my new home. Thanks NACA.
The process has been good. It took a while but with a great counselor such as Mr. Carol Clarke it happened. I'm thrilled to be part of this experience. Thank you Mr. Clarke for your patience and experience with the process.

Answer: I decided to go with NACA because they don't consider your credit score and the counselors work with you to become qualified. NACA has made me more diligent with saving money by not spending on wants but needs. This method has strengthen my assets considerably. Also, because you have to volunteer your services as you see fit at least 5x a year which is great because you are giving back to the community. DEE in Far Rockaway
